Job 42
1 Then Job answered and said to the Lord,
അപ്പോൾ ഇയ്യോബ് യഹോവയോട് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്:
2 I know that thou canst do all things, and nothing is impossible with thee.
“അങ്ങേക്ക് എല്ലാം സാധ്യമെന്നും അങ്ങയുടെ ഉദ്ദേശ്യങ്ങളൊന്നും തടയിടാൻ പറ്റാത്തവയുമാണെന്നും എനിക്കറിയാം.
3 For who is he that hides counsel from thee? or who keeps back his words, and thinks to hide them from thee? and who will tell me what I knew not, great and wonderful things which I understood not?
‘അജ്ഞതയാൽ എന്റെ ആലോചന ആച്ഛാദനംചെയ്യുന്ന ഇവൻ ആർ?’ അവിടന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നു. എനിക്ക് അജ്ഞാതമായവയെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ സംസാരിച്ചു. നിശ്ചയം, അവ എനിക്കു ഗ്രഹിക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നതിലും അധികം അത്ഭുതകരമായിരുന്നു.
4 But hear me, O Lord, that I also may speak: and I will ask thee, and do thou teach me.
“‘ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേൾക്കുക; ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കും. ഞാൻ ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ചോദിക്കും; നീ ഉത്തരം നൽകണം,’ എന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തല്ലോ.
5 I have heard the report of thee by the ear before; but now mine eye has seen thee.
അങ്ങയെക്കുറിച്ച് എന്റെ കാതുകളാൽ ഞാൻ കേൾക്കുകമാത്രമേ ചെയ്തിരുന്നുള്ളൂ; എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ എന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾ അങ്ങയെ ദർശിച്ചല്ലോ.
6 Wherefore I have counted myself vile, and have fainted: and I esteem myself dust and ashes.
അതിനാൽ ഞാൻ സ്വയം വെറുത്ത് പൊടിയിലും ചാരത്തിലും കിടന്ന് അനുതപിക്കുന്നു.”
7 And it came to pass after the Lord had spoken all these words to Job, [that] the Lord said to Eliphaz the Thaemanite, Thou hast sinned, and thy two friends: for ye have not said anything true before me, as my servant Job [has].
യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിനോട് ഈ കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതിനുശേഷം, തേമാന്യനായ എലീഫാസിനോട് കൽപ്പിച്ചത്: “എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബ് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ശരിയായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ സംസാരിക്കാഞ്ഞതിനാൽ എന്റെ കോപം നിനക്കും നിന്റെ രണ്ടു സ്നേഹിതന്മാർക്കും എതിരേ ജ്വലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
8 Now then take seven bullocks, and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and he shall offer a burnt-offering for you. And my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will only accept him: for but his sake, I would have destroyed you, for ye have not spoken the truth against my servant Job.
അതുകൊണ്ട് ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ ഏഴു കാളകളും ഏഴ് കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുമായി, എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ അടുക്കൽപോയി നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ഒരു ഹോമയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കുക. എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബ് നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രാർഥിക്കും. നിങ്ങളുടെ തെറ്റിനു തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങളോട് ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമാറ് ഞാൻ അവന്റെ പ്രാർഥന കേൾക്കും. എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബിനെപ്പോലെ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സത്യമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾ സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ.”
9 So Eliphaz the Thaemanite, and Baldad the Sauchite, and Sophar the Minaean, went and did as the Lord commanded them: and he pardoned their sin for the sake of Job.
അങ്ങനെ തേമാന്യനായ എലീഫാസും ശൂഹ്യനായ ബിൽദാദും നാമാത്യനായ സോഫറും പോയി യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു കൽപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു. യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ പ്രാർഥന കൈക്കൊണ്ടു.
10 And the Lord prospered Job: and when he prayed also for his friends, he forgave them [their] sin: and the Lord gave Job twice as much, even the double of what he had before.
ഇയ്യോബ് തന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാർക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രാർഥിച്ചതിനുശേഷം, യഹോവ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഐശ്വര്യം പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ച്, മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിന്റെയും ഇരട്ടി ഓഹരി നൽകി.
11 And all his brethren and his sisters heard all that had happened to him, and they came to him, and [so did] all that had known him from the first: and they ate and drank with him, and comforted him, and wondered at all that the Lord had brought upon him: and each one gave him a lamb, and four drachms' weight of gold, even of unstamped [gold].
പിന്നീട് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ സഹോദരന്മാരും സഹോദരിമാരും മുമ്പ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു പരിചയമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്ന്, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തോടൊരുമിച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു. യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെമേൽ വരുത്തിയ എല്ലാ ദോഷങ്ങളെയുംകുറിച്ച് അവർ സഹതപിക്കുകയും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവരിലോരോരുത്തരും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഓരോ വെള്ളിനാണയവും ഓരോ സ്വർണമോതിരവും പാരിതോഷികമായി നൽകി.
12 And the Lord blessed the latter end of Job, [more] than the beginning: and his cattle were fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, a thousand she-asses of the pastures.
യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ ശിഷ്ടജീവിതകാലം മുൻകാലത്തെക്കാൾ അനുഗ്രഹപൂർണമാക്കി. അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു പതിന്നാലായിരം ആടും ആറായിരം ഒട്ടകവും ആയിരംജോടി കാളയും ആയിരം പെൺകഴുതയും ഉണ്ടായി.
13 And there were born to him seven sons and three daughters.
അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഏഴു പുത്രന്മാരും മൂന്നു പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.
14 And he called the first Day, and the second Casia, and the third Amalthaea's horn.
തന്റെ പുത്രിമാരിൽ മൂത്തവൾക്ക് യെമീമയെന്നും രണ്ടാമത്തവൾക്കു കെസിയായെന്നും മൂന്നാമത്തവൾക്ക് കേരെൻ-ഹപ്പൂക് എന്നും പേരിട്ടു.
15 And there were not found in comparison with the daughters of Job, fairer [women] than they in all the world: and their father gave them an inheritance among their brethren.
ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെപ്പോലെ സുന്ദരികളായ സ്ത്രീകൾ ആ നാട്ടിലെങ്ങും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. അവരുടെ പിതാവ് അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടൊപ്പം അവർക്ക് ഓഹരികൊടുത്തു.
16 And Job lived after [his] affliction a hundred and seventy years: and all the years he lived were two hundred and forty: and Job saw his sons and his sons' sons, the fourth generation.
ഇതിനുശേഷം ഇയ്യോബ് 140 വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; തന്റെ മക്കളെയും അവരുടെ മക്കളെയും അങ്ങനെ നാലു തലമുറകൾവരെ കണ്ടു.
17 And Job died, an old man and full of days.
ഇയ്യോബ് വയോവൃദ്ധനും പൂർണായുഷ്മാനുമായി ഇഹലോകവാസം വെടിഞ്ഞു.
