< Job 40 >

1 And the Lord God answered Job, and said,
Te phoeiah BOEIPA loh Job te a voek tih,
2 Will [any one] pervert judgment with the Mighty One? and he that reproves God, let him return it for answer.
Tlungthang te a ho a? Cawtkung aka tluung te Pathen loh doo nawn saeh,” a ti nah.
3 And Job answered and said to the Lord,
Te vaengah Job loh BOEIPA te a doo tih,
4 Why do I yet plead? being rebuked even while reproving the Lord: hearing such things, whereas I am nothing: and what shall I answer to these [arguments]? I will lay my hand upon my mouth.
“Kai n'kosinah coeng he. Namah te metlam kan thuung eh? Ka kut he ka ka dongla ka puei mai coeng.
5 I have spoken once; but I will not do so a second time.
Vai ka thui vaengah ka doo voel pawt dongah pabae nen khaw ka koei mahpawh,” a ti nah.
6 And the Lord yet again answered and spoke to Job out of the cloud, [saying],
Te phoeiah BOEIPA loh Job te hlipuei khui lamloh a voek tih,
7 Nay, gird up now thy loins like a man; and I will ask thee, and do thou answer me.
Hlang bangla na pumpu te yen laeh. Nang kan dawt vaengah kai m'ming sak.
8 Do not set aside my judgment: and dost thou think that I have dealt with thee in any other way, than that thou mightest appear to be righteous?
Ka laitloeknah he na phae tang aya? Na tang hamla kai nan boe sak aya?
9 Hast thou an arm like the Lord's? or dost thou thunder with a voice like his?
Nang te Pathen bangla na ban om tih ol neh rhaek bangla na hum a?
10 Assume now a lofty bearing and power; and clothe thyself with glory and honour.
Hoemdamnah neh na oeknah te oi laeh lamtah mueithennah neh rhuepomnah te bai laeh.
11 And send forth messengers with wrath; and lay low every haughty one.
Na thinpom thintoek te sah laeh. Thinthah boeih te so lamtah anih te kunyun sak laeh.
12 Bring down also the proud man; and consume at once the ungodly.
Thinthah boeih te so lah. Anih te kunyun sak lamtah halang rhoek khaw a hmui la daep laeh.
13 And hide them together in the earth; and fill their faces with shame.
Amih te laipi khuila det lamtah a thuh khuiah khaw a maelhmai te rhenten poi pah.
14 [Then] will I confess that thy right hand can save [thee].
Te vaengah na bantang kut loh nang te n'khang thai tila kai loh nang kang uem van ni.
15 But now look at the wild beasts with thee; they eat grass like oxen.
Behemoth te namah neh kan saii tih saelhung bangla sulrham ka cah coeng ke.
16 Behold now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
A thadueng te a cinghen ah, a thahuem te a bungko kah thanal dongah om coeng ke.
17 He sets up his tail like a cypress; and his nerves are wrapped together.
A mai te lamphai thing bangla a hloih tih a phaiboeng, a phaiboeng te a tharhui loh a cut pah.
18 His sides are sides of brass; and his backbone is [as] cast iron.
A rhuh te rhohum tuicawn bangla, a songrhuh khaw thi boeng bangla om.
19 This is the chief of the creation of the Lord; made to be played with by his angels.
Anih tah Pathen kah longpuei a tongnah om tih, anih aka saii long ni a cunghang a tawn thai.
20 And when he has gone up to a steep mountain, he causes joy to the quadrupeds in the deep.
Tlang kah cakkoi te anih taengla a phueih uh tih kohong mulhing boeih te pahoi luem uh.
21 He lies under trees of every kind, by the papyrus, and reed, and bulrush.
Yinhnuk ah hlip hmuila capu neh nongtui dongah yalh.
22 And the great trees make a shadow over him with their branches, and [so do] the bushes of the field.
Anih te hlip kah a hlipkhup loh a dah tih anih te soklong tuirhi loh a vael.
23 If there should be a flood, he will not perceive it; he trust that Jordan will rush up into his mouth.
Tuiva loh a kawt akhaw a tamto moenih. Jordan loh a ka a hoh pa akhaw a omtoem.
24 [Yet one] shall take him in his sight; [one] shall catch [him] with a cord, and pierce his nose.
Anih te a mik neh a loh tih hlaeh neh a hnarhong a toeh a?
