< Job 26 >
1 But Job answered and said,
Jòb pran lapawòl ankò, li di l' konsa:
2 To whom dost thou attach thyself, or whom art thou going to assist? is it not he that [has] much strength, and [he] who has a strong arm?
-Ou gen tan konn konsole moun ki nan lafliksyon! Ou gen tan konn lonje men bay moun ki san fòs!
3 To whom hast thou given counsel? is it not to him who has all wisdom? whom wilt thou follow? is it not one who has the greatest power?
Ala bon konsèy ou bay moun ki san konprann lan! Ou gen tan gen anpil konesans nan ou!
4 To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose breath is it that has come forth from thee?
5 Shall giants be born from under the water and the inhabitants thereof?
Bildad pran lapawòl ankò li di: -Nanm moun mouri k'ap viv nan fon lanmè a ap tranble anba tè a.
6 Hell is naked before him, and destruction has no covering. (Sheol )
(Sheol )
7 He stretches out the north wind upon nothing, and he upon nothing hangs the earth;
Li pandye tè a ankò san anyen pou kenbe l'.
8 binding water in his clouds, and the cloud is not rent under it.
Se li menm ki plen nwaj yo dlo. Se li menm ki pa kite pèz dlo a pete nwaj yo.
9 He keeps back the face of his throne, stretching out his cloud upon it.
10 He has encompassed the face of the water by an appointed ordinance, until the end of light and darkness.
Se li menm ki trase yon wonn sou lanmè a, li separe limyè ak fènwa.
11 The pillars of heaven are prostrate and astonished at his rebuke.
Lè li bay poto ki soutni syèl la yon prigad, yo sezi, yo pran tranble sitèlman yo pè.
12 He has calmed the sea with [his] might, and by [his] wisdom the whale has been overthrown.
Avèk fòs ponyèt li, li fè lanmè a vin dou devan li. Avèk ladrès li, li kraze Raab, gwo bèt lèd la.
13 And the barriers of heaven fear him, and by a command he has slain the apostate dragon.
Avèk souf li, li fè syèl la vin klè. Avèk men li, li touye gwo koulèv ki t'ap kouri chape a.
14 Behold, these are parts of his way; and we will hearken to him at the least intimation of his word: but the strength of his thunder who knows, when he shall employ [it]?
