Job 14
1 For a mortal born of a woman [is] short lived, and full of wrath.
౧స్త్రీ కడుపున పుట్టిన మనిషి కొన్ని రోజులపాటు జీవిస్తాడు. అతడు తన జీవిత కాలమంతా కష్టాలు అనుభవిస్తాడు.
2 Or he falls like a flower that has bloomed; and he departs like a shadow, and cannot continue.
౨అతడు పువ్వులాగా పెరిగి వికసిస్తాడు. అంతలోనే వాడిపోతాడు. నీడ కనబడకుండా పోయినట్టు వాడు పారిపోతాడు.
3 Hast thou not taken account even of him, and caused him to enter into judgment before thee?
౩అలాంటి వాడిని నువ్వు పట్టించుకుంటున్నావా? నాకు తీర్పు తీర్చడానికి నీ ఎదుటికి రప్పించుకుంటావా?
4 For who shall be pure from uncleanness? not even one;
౪అపవిత్రమైన వ్యక్తికి పవిత్రుడైనవాడు పుట్టగలిగితే ఎంత మేలు? కానీ ఆ విధంగా ఎన్నడూ జరగదు.
5 if even his life should be [but] one day upon the earth: and his months are numbered by him: thou hast appointed [him] for a time, and he shall by no means exceed [it].
౫మనిషి ఎంతకాలం బ్రతకాలో దానికి పరిమితి నువ్వే నియమిస్తావు. అతడు ఎన్ని నెలలు జీవిస్తాడో నీకు తెలుసు.
6 Depart from him, that he may be quiet, and take pleasure in his life, [though] as a hireling.
౬అతడి వైపు నుంచి నీ దృష్టి మరల్చుకో. కూలిపని వాడిలాగా తనకు నియమింపబడిన పని పూర్తి చేసేదాకా అతని వైపు చూడకు.
7 For there is hope for a tree, even if it should be cut down, [that] it shall blossom again, and its branch shall not fail.
౭చెట్టును నరికి వేస్తే అది తిరిగి చిగురు వేస్తుందనీ, లేత కొమ్మలు తిరిగి మొలకెత్తుతాయనీ ఆశాభావం ఉంటుంది.
8 For though its root should grow old in the earth, and its stem die in the rock;
౮నరికేసిన చెట్టు వేరు భూమిలో కుళ్లిపోయి, దాని మొదలు మట్టిలో చీకిపోతూ ఉంటుంది.
9 it will blossom from the scent of water, and will produce a crop, as one newly planted.
౯అయితే దానికి నీటి వాసన తగిలినప్పుడు అది చిగురు వేస్తుంది, లేత మొక్కలాగా కొత్తగా కొమ్మలు కాస్తుంది.
10 But a man that has died is utterly gone; and when a mortal has fallen, he is no more.
౧౦అయితే మనుషులు చనిపోయినప్పుడు కదలకుండా పడి ఉంటారు. మనుషులు ప్రాణం విడిచిన తరువాత వాళ్ళు ఏమైపోతారు?
11 For the sea wastes in [length of] time, and a river fails and is dried up.
౧౧సముద్రంలో నీళ్ళు ఎలా ఇంకిపోతాయో, నదిలో నీళ్ళు ఎలా ఆవిరైపోతాయో అలాగే మనుషులు చనిపోయి ఇక తిరిగి లేవరు.
12 And man that has lain down [in death] shall certainly not rise again till the heaven be dissolved, and they shall not awake from their sleep.
౧౨ఆకాశం అంతరించి పోయేదాకా వాళ్ళు మేల్కోరు. ఎవరూ వారిని నిద్ర లేపలేరు.
13 For oh that thou hadst kept me in the grave, and hadst hidden me until thy wrath should cease, and thou shouldest set me a time in which thou wouldest remember me! (Sheol h7585)
౧౩నువ్వు నన్ను మృత్యులోకంలో దాచి ఉంచితే ఎంత మేలు! నా మీద నీ కోపం చల్లారే దాకా మరుగు చేస్తే ఎంత బాగుంటుంది! నాకు కొంతకాలం గడువుపెట్టి ఆ తరువాత నన్ను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకోవాలని నేను ఎంతగానో ఆశిస్తున్నాను. (Sheol h7585)
14 For if a man should die, shall he live [again], having accomplished the days of his life? I will wait till I exist again?
౧౪మనుషులు చనిపోయిన తరువాత మళ్ళీ బ్రతుకుతారా? ఆలా జరిగే పక్షంలో నా పోరాటం ముగిసి నాకు విడుదల కలిగేదాకా నేను ఎదురుచూస్తూ ఉంటాను.
15 Then shalt thou call, and I will hearken to thee: but do not thou reject the work of thine hands.
౧౫అప్పుడు నువ్వు పిలుస్తావు. నేను నీతో మాట్లాడతాను. నీ చేతిపనిని చూసి నువ్వు ఇష్టపడతావు.
16 But thou hast numbered my devices: and not one of my sins shall escape thee?
౧౬అయితే ఇప్పుడు నేను వేసే అడుగులు నువ్వు లెక్కిస్తున్నావు. నేను చేసే పాపాలు నీకు కోపం తెప్పిస్తున్నాయి.
17 An thou hast sealed up my transgressions in a bag, and marked if I have been guilty of any transgression unawares.
౧౭నా అతిక్రమాలు సంచిలో ఉంచి మూసివేశావు. నేను చేసిన దోషాలను భద్రంగా దాచిపెట్టావు.
18 And verily a mountain falling will utterly be destroyed, and a rock shall be worn out of its place.
౧౮కూలిపోయిన పర్వతాలు ముక్కలైపోయి నేలమట్టం అవుతాయి, కొండలు వాటి స్థానం తప్పి పడిపోతాయి.
19 The waters wear the stones, and waters falling headlong [overflow] a heap of the earth: and thou destroyest the hope of man.
౧౯నీళ్ళు రాళ్లను అరగదీస్తాయి. నీటి ప్రవాహం భూమిపై మట్టి కొట్టుకుపోయేలా చేస్తుంది. ఆ విధంగా నువ్వు మనిషి ఆశలను భగ్నం చేశావు.
20 Thou drivest him to an end, and he is gone: thou settest thy face against him, and sendest him away;
౨౦నువ్వు మనుషులను ఎప్పటికీ అణచివేస్తున్నావు గనుక వారు అంతరించిపోతారు. నువ్వు వాళ్ళ ముఖాలను చావు ముఖాలుగా మార్చివేసి వాళ్ళను వెళ్లగొట్టావు.
21 and though his children be multiplied, he knows [it] not; and if they be few, he is not aware.
౨౧ఒకవేళ వాళ్ళ పిల్లలు ప్రఖ్యాతి చెందినా అది వారికి తెలియదు. ఒకవేళ అణిగిపోయి దీనస్థితి అనుభవించినా వాళ్ళు అది గ్రహించలేరు.
22 But his flesh is in pain, and his soul mourns.
౨౨తమ సొంత శరీరాల్లోని బాధ మాత్రమే వాళ్ళు అనుభవిస్తారు. తమకు తామే ఎక్కువగా దుఃఖపడతారు.
