Jeremias 37
1 THE WORD THAT CAME TO JEREMIAS FROM THE LORD, SAYING,
Babilonia fia Nebukadnezar tsɔ Yosia ƒe vi, Zedekia ɖo fiae ɖe Yuda, ɖe Yehoyakim ƒe vi, Yehoyatsin teƒe.
2 Thus speaks the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write all the words which I have spoken to thee in a book.
Ke eya loo, alo eƒe dɔlawo alo ame siwo le anyigba dzi la meɖo to nya siwo Yehowa gblɔ to Nyagblɔɖila Yeremia dzi o.
3 For, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will bring back the captivity of my people Israel and Juda, said the Lord: and I will bring them back to the land which I gave to their fathers, and they shall be lords of it.
Ke hã la, Fia Zedekia dɔ Yehukal, Selemia ƒe vi kple nunɔla Zefania, Maaseya vi ɖo ɖe Nyagblɔɖila Yeremia gbɔ be woagblɔ nɛ be: “Míeɖe kuku, do gbe ɖa na Yehowa míaƒe Mawu la ɖe mía ta.”
4 AND THESE ARE THE WORDS WHICH THE LORD SPOKE CONCERNING ISRAEL AND JUDA;
Ke azɔ la, ablɔɖe le Yeremia si be wòado ɖe dukɔ la dome agagbɔ, elabena womedee gaxɔ me haɖeke o.
5 Thus said the Lord: Ye shall hear a sound of fear, [there is] fear, and there is not peace.
Farao ƒe aʋakɔwo ho tso Egipte eye esi Babiloniatɔ siwo ɖe to ɖe Yerusalem se esia la, woho dzo le Yerusalem.
6 Enquire, and see if a male has born a child? and [ask] concerning the fear, wherein they shall hold their loins, and [look for] safety: for I have seen every man, and his hands are on his loins; [their] faces are turned to paleness.
Yehowa ƒe nya va na Nyagblɔɖila Yeremia be,
7 For that day is great, and there is not such [another]; and it is a time of straitness to Jacob; but he shall be saved out of it.
“Ale Yehowa, Israel ƒe Mawu la gblɔe nye esi: Gblɔ na Yuda fia, ame si dɔ wò be nàbia gbem la be, ‘Farao ƒe aʋakɔ siwo ho be woava akpe ɖe ŋutiwò la agbugbɔ ayi ɖe Egipte, woƒe anyigba dzi.
8 In that day, said the Lord, I will break the yoke off their neck, and will burst their bonds, and they shall no longer serve strangers:
Ekema Babiloniatɔwo atrɔ gbɔ, ava dze du sia dzi, axɔe ahatɔ dzoe wòabi azu dzowɔ.’
9 but they shall serve the Lord their God; and I will raise up to them David their king.
“Ale Yehowa gblɔe nye esi: Migable mia ɖokuiwo, asusu be, ‘Babiloniatɔwo aɖe asi le yewo ŋuti o.’ Womaɖe asi o!
Kura gɔ̃ hã, ne miaɖu Babiloniatɔ siwo ho aʋa ɖe mia ŋu la ƒe aʋakɔwo katã dzi eye abixɔlawo koe asusɔ ɖe woƒe asaɖa me hã la, woado ava xɔ du sia atɔ dzoe.”
Esi Babiloniatɔwo ƒe aʋakɔwo ho dzo le Yerusalem, le Farao ƒe aʋakɔwo ta la,
12 Thus saith the Lord; I have brought on [thee] destruction; thy stroke is painful.
Yeremia do le dua me be yeayi ɖe Benyaminyigba dzi be yeaxɔ yeƒe gome ɖe ame siwo le afi ma la dome.
13 There is none to judge thy cause: thou hast been painfully treated for healing, there is no help for thee.
Gake esi wòɖo Benyamin ƒe Agbo nu la, agbonudzɔlawo ƒe amegã si ŋkɔe nye; Iriya, Selemia ƒe vi, Hananiya ƒe vi, lée hegblɔ be, “Èsi, be yeayi ɖe Babiloniatɔwo dzi!”
14 All thy friends have forgotten thee; they shall not ask [about thee] at all, for I have smitten thee with he stroke of an enemy, [even] severe correction: thy sins have abounded above all thine iniquity.
Yeremia ɖo eŋu be, “Alakpae, nyemele sisim be mayi ɖe Babiloniatɔwo dzi o.” Ke Iriya gbe meɖo toe o, ke boŋ elé Yeremia eye wòkplɔe yi ɖe dumegãwo gbɔe.
15 Thy sins have abounded beyond the multitude of thine iniquities, [therefore] they have done these things to thee. Therefore all that devour thee shall be eaten, and all thine enemies shall eat all their [own] flesh.
Wodo dziku ɖe Yeremia ŋu vevie, wona woƒoe hetsɔe de ga me ɖe agbalẽŋlɔla Yonatan ƒe aƒe si wotsɔ wɔ gaxɔe la me.
16 And they that spoil thee shall become a spoil, and I will give up to be plundered all that have plundered thee.
Ale wotsɔ Yeremia de gaxɔ dometɔ si sesẽ hedo viviti la me, afi si wònɔ ɣeyiɣi didi aɖe.
17 For I will bring about thy healing, I will heal thee of thy grievous wound, saith the Lord; for thou art called Dispersed: she is your prey, for no one seeks after her.
Tete Fia Zedekia dɔ ame ɖa be woaɖakplɔe vɛ eye wokplɔe va fiasã la mee, afi si wòbiae le, le bebeme be, “Gbe aɖe va tso Yehowa gbɔa?” Yeremia ɖo eŋu be, “Ɛ̃, woakplɔ wò ade asi na Babilonia fia.”
18 Thus said the Lord; Behold, I will turn the captivity of Jacob, and will have pity upon his prisoners; and the city shall be built upon her hill, and the people shall settle after their manner.
Tete Yeremia gblɔ na Fia Zedekia be, “Agɔ kae medze le dziwò, wò dumegãwo alo ame siawo dzi, be nètsɔm de gaxɔ me?
19 And there shall go forth from them singers, [even] the sound of men making merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not at all be diminished.
Afi ka wò nyagblɔɖila siwo gblɔ nya ɖi na wò be, ‘Babilonia fia mava dze dziwò alo anyigba sia dzi o la le?’
20 And their sons shall go in as before, and their testimonies shall be established before me, and I will visit them that afflict them.
Ke azɔ la, nye aƒetɔ fia, meɖe kuku, ɖo to nàsee. Na matsɔ nye biabia aɖo ŋkuwòme: Mègatrɔm ɖo ɖe agbalẽŋlɔla Yonatan ƒe aƒe me o, ne menye nenema o la, maku ɖe afi ma.”
21 And their mighty ones shall be over them, and their prince shall proceed of themselves; and I will gather them, and they shall return to me: for who is this that has set his heart to return to me? saith the Lord.
Tete fia Zedekia ɖe gbe be, woatsɔ Yeremia ada ɖe dzɔlawo ƒe xɔxɔnu eye woatsɔ abolo ɖeka nɛ gbe sia gbe tso aboloƒolawo ƒe ablɔ me, va se ɖe esime abolo vɔ le dua me. Ale Yeremia tsi dzɔlawo ƒe xɔxɔnu.
23 For the wrathful anger of the lord has gone forth, [even] a whirlwind of anger has gone forth: it shall come upon the ungodly.
24 The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he shall execute [it], and until he shall establish the purpose of his heart: in the latter days ye shall know these things.
