< Esias 8 >

1 And the Lord said to me, Take to thyself a volume of a great new [book], and write in it with a man's pen concerning the making a rapid plunder of spoils; for it is near at hand.
LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik, “Eis sie ipin mwe sim lulap ac simusla fac ke mutun sim lulap: ‘Sulaklak Eisla, Aksaya Wapi.’
2 And make me witnesses [of] faithful men, Urias, and Zacharias the son of Barachias.
Eis mwet lulalfongiyuk luo inge tuh elos in mwet loh: mwet tol Uriah, ac Zechariah wen natul Jeberechiah.”
3 And I went in to the prophetess; and she conceived, and bore a son. And the Lord said to me, Call his name, Spoil quickly, plunder speedily.
Kutu pacl tok, mutan kiuk el pitutu ac oswela wen se. Na LEUM GOD El fahk nu sik, “Sang inel ‘Sulaklak-Eisla-Aksaya-Wapi.’
4 For before the child shall know [how] to call [his] father or [his] mother, [one] shall take the power of Damascus and the spoils of Samaria before the king of the Assyrians.
Meet liki tulik mukul sac ku in fahk ‘Papa’ ac ‘Nina,’ mwe kasrup nukewa lun Damascus ac ma wap nukewa lun Samaria ac fah utukla sin tokosra lun Assyria.”
5 And the Lord spoke to me yet again, [saying],
LEUM GOD El sifilpa kaskas nu sik.
6 Because this people chooses not the water of Siloam that goes softly, but wills to have Rassin, and the son of Romelias [to be] king over you;
El fahk, “Ke sripen mwet inge srangesr eis kof mihs ma tuku ke Infacl srisrik Shiloah, a elos engan in eisalosyang nu inpaol Tokosra Rezin ac Tokosra Pekah,
7 therefore, behold, the Lord brings up upon you the water of the river, strong and abundant, [even] the king of the Assyrians, and his glory: and he shall come up over every valley of yours, and shall walk over every wall of yours:
nga, LEUM GOD, ac fah use Tokosra Fulat lun Assyria ac un mwet mweun lal nukewa in mweun lain Judah. Elos ac fahsryak oana tuku lun sronot uh, oana kof lulap ke Infacl Euphrates, ac afunla pefacl uh.
8 and he shall take away from Juda [every] man who shall be able to lift up his head, [and every one] able to accomplish anything; and his camp shall fill the breadth of thy land, [O] God with us.
Elos ac asrma sasla Judah oana sie sronot ma lapak nu ke fulatan finpisen mwet uh, ac afunla ma nukewa.” God El wi kut! El karingin acn uh ye posohksok lal.
9 Know, ye Gentiles, and be conquered; hearken ye, even to the extremity of the earth: be conquered, after ye strengthened yourselves; for even if ye should again strengthen yourselves, ye shall again be conquered.
Kowos mutunfacl uh, tukeni nu sie ke sangeng! Porongo, kowos su muta yen loessula faclu. Akola in mweun, tusruktu kowos in sangeng! Aok akola, tusruktu kowos in sangeng!
10 And whatsoever counsel ye shall take, the Lord shall bring it to nought; and whatsoever word ye shall speak, it shall not stand among you: for God is with us.
Orala oakwuk lowos an, tusruktu ac fah tia ku in orekla. Fahk ma nukewa kowos lungse fahk, tusruktu ac wangin sripa, mweyen God El wi kut.
11 Thus saith the Lord, With a strong hand they revolt from the course of the way of this people, saying,
Ke ku lulap lal, LEUM GOD El sensenkakinyu nga in tia fahsr ke inkanek ma mwet uh fahsr kac. El fahk,
12 Let them not say, [It is] hard, for whatsoever this people says, is hard: but fear not ye their fear, neither be dismayed.
“Nik kom wela pwapa sulal lun mwet, ac nik kom sangeng ke ma elos sangeng kac uh.
13 Sanctify ye the Lord himself; and he shall be thy fear.
Esam lah nga, LEUM GOD Kulana, nga mutal. Nga pa kom ac sangeng se uh.
14 And if thou shalt trust in him, he shall be to thee for a sanctuary; and ye shall not come against [him] as against a stumbling-stone, neither as against the falling of a rock: but the houses of Jacob are in a snare, and the dwellers in Jerusalem in a pit.
Ke sripen mangoliyen mutal luk, nga oana sie eot ma mwet uh tukulkul kac. Nga oana sie sruhf ma ac srifusrya mwet in tokosrai lun Judah ac Israel, oayapa mwet Jerusalem.
15 Therefore many among them shall be weak, and fall, and be crushed; and they shall draw nigh, and men shall be taken securely.
Mwet puspis fah tukulkul. Elos ac ikori ac itungyuki. Elos ac fah sruh ac utukla.”
16 Then shall those who seal themselves that they may not learn the law be made manifest.
Kowos, mwet tumuk lutlut, enenu in karinganang ac sruokya ku kas nukewa ma God El ase nu sik.
17 And [one] shall say, I will wait for God, who has turned away his face from the house of Jacob, and I will trust in him.
LEUM GOD El okanulla sifacna liki mwet lal uh, tuh nga lulalfongel ac filiya finsrak luk in El.
18 Behold I and the children which God has given me: and they shall be [for] signs and wonders in the house of Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells in mount Sion.
Nga pa inge, wi tulik ma LEUM GOD El ase nu sik. LEUM GOD Kulana, su tron lal oan fin Eol Zion, El supwekut nu sin mwet Israel in oana mwe akul moul nu selos.
19 And if they should say to you, Seek those who have in them a divining spirit, and them that speak out of the earth, them that speak vain words, who speak out of their belly: shall not a nation diligently seek to their God? why do they seek to the dead concerning the living?
Tusruktu mwet uh ac fah siyuk kom in lolngok yurin mwet susfa ac mwet inutnut, su ac mahma srisrik ac mungulngul. Elos fah fahk, “Ya tia fal mwet uh in sukok kas sin ngun, ac lolngok yurin mwet misa in kasru mwet moul?”
20 For he has given the law for a help, that they should not speak according to this word, concerning which there are no gifts to give for it.
Kowos in topkolos ac fahk, “Lipsre ma LEUM GOD El luti nu suwos! Nimet porongo mwet inutnut — ma elos fahk nu suwos uh ac tia ku in kasrekowos.”
21 And famine shall come sorely upon you, and it shall come to pass, [that] when ye shall be hungry, ye shall be grieved, and ye shall speak ill of the prince and your fathers' ordinances: and they shall look up to heaven above,
Mwet uh ac fufahsryesr fin facl sac, ac elos ac munasla ac masrinsralla. Ke sripen masrinsral lalos elos ac kasrkusrak ac selngawi tokosra lalos ac God lalos. Elos ac ngetak nu inkusrao,
22 and they shall look on the earth below, and behold severe distress, and darkness, affliction, and anguish, and darkness so that [one cannot] see; and he that is in anguish shall not be distressed only for a time.
ku suiya infohk uh, a wangin ma elos ac liye sayen mwe ongoiya ac lohsr matoltol — aok ac fah sisiyang elos nu in lohsr, ac wangin inkanek lalos in kaingla liki pacl in ongoiya se inge.
