Esias 7
1 And it came to pass in the days of Achaz [the son] of Joatham, the son of Ozias, king of Juda, there came up Rasim king of Aram, and Phakee son of Romelias, king of Israel, against Jerusalem to war against it, but they could not take it.
Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa Ahazu mũrũ wa Jothamu, mũrũ wa Uzia, aarĩ mũthamaki wa Juda-rĩ, Rezini mũthamaki wa Suriata marĩ na Peka mũrũ wa Remalia mũthamaki wa Isiraeli, makĩambata mathiĩ magatharĩkĩre itũũra rĩa Jerusalemu, no matiigana kũrĩtooria.
2 And a message was brought to the house of David, saying, Aram has conspired with Ephraim. And his soul was amazed, and the soul of his people, as in a wood a tree is moved by the wind.
Na rĩrĩ, andũ a nyũmba ya Daudi nĩ meerirwo atĩrĩ, “Andũ a Suriata nĩmanyiitanĩte na andũ a Efiraimu”; nĩ ũndũ ũcio ngoro ya Ahazu o na ngoro cia andũ ake ikĩinaina o ta ũrĩa mĩtĩ ya mũtitũ ĩinainagio nĩ rũhuho.
3 And the Lord said to Esaias, Go forth to meet Achaz, thou, and thy son Jasub who is left, to the pool of the upper way of the fuller's field.
Hĩndĩ ĩyo Jehova akĩĩra Isaia atĩrĩ, “Umagara, wee mũrĩ na mũrũguo Sheari-Jashubu, mũthiĩ mũgatũnge Ahazu mũthia-inĩ wa mũtaro ũrĩa uumĩte Karia-inĩ ka Rũgongo, njĩra-inĩ ya gũthiĩ Gĩthaka kĩa Mũthambia-Nguo.
4 And thou shalt say to him, Take care to be quiet, and fear not, neither let thy soul be disheartened because of these two smoking firebrands: for when my fierce anger is over, I will heal again.
Ũmwĩre atĩrĩ, ‘Wĩmenyerere, ũikare ũhooreire na ndũgetigĩre. Ndũkareke ũũrwo nĩ hinya nĩ ũndũ wa icinga icio igĩrĩ iratooga ndogo; ndũgetigĩre marakara mahiũ ma Rezini, na ma Suriata, o na ma mũrũ wa Remalia.
5 And [as for] the son of Aram, and the son of Romelias, forasmuch as they have devised an evil counsel, [saying],
Suriata, na Efiraimu, na mũrũ wa Remalia nĩmaciirĩire gũkwananga, makoiga atĩrĩ,
6 We will go up against Judea, and having conferred with them we will turn them away to our side, and we will make the son of Tabeel king of it;
“Nĩtũtharĩkĩre Juda, tũkũnyariire na tũkũgayane, na tũtue mũrũ wa Tabeeli mũthamaki wakuo.”
7 thus saith the Lord of hosts, This counsel shall not abide, nor come to pass.
No rĩrĩ, Mwathani Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ: “‘Ũhoro ũcio ndũgaakinyanĩra, na ndũgekĩka,
8 But the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus, Rasim; and yet within sixty and five years the kingdom of Ephraim shall cease from [being] a people.
nĩgũkorwo itũũra inene rĩa Suriata nĩ Dameski, na mũnene wa Dameski no Rezini. Ihinda rĩa mĩaka mĩrongo ĩtandatũ na ĩtano ĩtaanathira-rĩ, andũ a Efiraimu magaakorwo maharaganĩtio ũndũ matangĩcooka gũtuĩka rũrĩrĩ.
9 And the head of Ephraim is Somoron, and the head of Somoron the son of Romelias: but if ye believe not, neither will ye at all understand.
Ningĩ itũũra inene rĩa Efiraimu nĩ Samaria, na mũnene wa Samaria no mũrũ wa Remalia. Mũngĩaga kũrũgama mũrũmĩte wega wĩtĩkio-inĩ wanyu-rĩ, mũtikehaanda o na atĩa.’”
10 And the Lord again spoke to Achaz, saying,
Ningĩ Jehova nĩarĩirie Ahazu o rĩngĩ, akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ,
“Ĩtia kĩmenyithia kuuma kũrĩ Jehova Ngai waku, o na kiumĩte kũndũ kũrĩa kũriku mũno, kana kiumĩte igũrũ kũrĩa kũraihu mũno.” (Sheol h7585)
12 And Achaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the Lord.
No Ahazu akiuga atĩrĩ, “Niĩ ndigwĩtia; niĩ ndikũgeria Jehova.”
13 And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; is it a little thing for you to contend with men? and how do ye contend against the Lord?
Ningĩ Isaia akiuga atĩrĩ, “Ta iguai rĩu, inyuĩ andũ a nyũmba ya Daudi! Anga mũkuona arĩ ũndũ mũnini kũgeria ũkirĩrĩria wa andũ? Anga nĩmũũkũgeria ũkirĩrĩria wa Ngai wakwa o naguo?
14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive in the womb, and shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Emmanuel.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, Mwathani we mwene nĩakamũhe kĩmenyithia: Nĩgũkorwo mũirĩtu gathirange nĩakagĩa nda aciare kahĩĩ, nake agatue Imanueli.
15 Butter and honey shall he eat, before he knows either to prefer evil [or] choose the good.
Iria imata na ũũkĩ nĩcio gakarĩĩaga rĩrĩa gakaamenya kũrega ũũru na gwĩthuurĩra maũndũ marĩa mega.
16 For before the child shall know good or evil, he refuses evil, to choose the good; and the land shall be forsaken which thou art afraid of because of the two kings.
No mbere ya kahĩĩ kau kũmenya kũrega ũũru na gwĩthuurĩra maũndũ marĩa mega-rĩ, bũrũri ũcio wa athamaki acio eerĩ wĩtigĩrĩte nĩũkanangwo.
17 But God shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon the house of thy father, days which have never come, from the day that Ephraim took away from Juda the king of the Assyrians.
Jehova nĩagakũrehithĩria wee mwene na andũ aku, o na andũ a nyũmba ya thoguo maũndũ matarĩ moneka kuuma rĩrĩa Efiraimu aatiganire na Juda; Jehova akaarehera mũthamaki wa Ashuri.”
18 And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall hiss for the flies, which [insect] shall rule over a part of the river of Egypt, and for the bee which is in the land of the Assyrians.
Hĩndĩ ĩyo Jehova nĩakahuuhĩra ngi mĩrũri, aciĩte kuuma tũrũũĩ-inĩ twa kũraya twa bũrũri wa Misiri, na eete njũkĩ iria irĩ bũrũri wa Ashuri.
19 And they all shall enter into the clefts of the land, and into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves, and into every ravine.
Nacio ciothe nĩcigooka ciikare iharũrũka-inĩ cia mĩkuru, na mĩatũka-inĩ ya ndwaro cia mahiga, na ihinga-inĩ ciothe cia mĩigua, na marima-inĩ mothe ma maaĩ.
20 In that day the Lord shall shave with the hired razor of the king of Assyria beyond the river the head, and the hairs of the feet, and will remove the beard.
Mũthenya ũcio Mwathani nĩakahũthĩra rwenji rũkomboretwo kuuma mũrĩmo wa Rũũĩ rwa Farati; naruo nĩruo mũthamaki wa Ashuri; nake nĩakenja mĩtwe yanyu na njuĩrĩ cia magũrũ manyu, o na ningĩ enje nderu cianyu.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] a man shall rear a heifer, and two sheep.
Mũthenya ũcio, mũndũ akaarĩithia o moori ĩmwe na ngʼondu igĩrĩ.
22 And it shall come to pass from their drinking an abundance of milk, [that] every one that is left on the land shall eat butter and honey.
Na tondũ wa ũingĩ wa iria rĩrĩa igaakamagwo-rĩ, mũndũ ũcio akaanyuuaga iria imata. Arĩa othe magaatigara kũu bũrũri ũcio makaanyuuaga iria imata, na marĩĩage ũũkĩ.
23 And it shall come to pass in that day, [for] every place where there shall be a thousand vines at a thousand shekels, they shall become barren land and thorns.
Mũthenya ũcio, kũndũ kũrĩa guothe kwarĩ mĩthabibũ 1,000 ĩngĩendirio cekeri 1,000 ya betha, gũgaakũra o congʼe na mĩtĩ ya mĩigua.
24 [Men] shall enter thither with arrow and bow; for all the land shall be [barren] ground and thorns.
Andũ magaathiiaga kuo marĩ na ũta na mĩguĩ, nĩgũkorwo bũrũri ũcio ũkaiyũra congʼe, na mĩtĩ ya mĩigua.
25 And every mountain shall be certainly ploughed: there shall no fear come thither: for there shall be from [among] the [barren] ground and thorns that whereon cattle shall feed and oxen shall tread.
Nakuo irĩma-inĩ guothe kũrĩa kwanarĩmwo na icembe, mũtigacooka gũthiĩ nĩ ũndũ wa gwĩtigĩra congʼe, na mĩtĩ ya mĩigua; kũndũ kũu gũgaatuĩka gwa kũrĩithagio ngʼombe, na gwa kũrangagwo nĩ ndũũru cia ngʼondu.
