Esias 37
1 And it came to pass, when king Ezekias heard [it, that] he rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth, and went up to the house of the Lord.
हिजकिया राजाले तिनीहरूको कुरा सुनेपछि, तिनले आफ्ना लुगा च्याते, आफूलाई भाङ्ग्राले ढाके र परमप्रभुको मन्दिरमा गए ।
2 And he sent Heliakim the steward, and Somnas the scribe, and the elders of the priests clothed with sackcloth, to Esaias the son of Amos, the prophet. And they said to him, Thus says Ezekias,
राजदरवारका निरीक्षक एल्याकीम, र शास्त्री शेब्ना र पुजारीहरूका धर्मगुरुहरूलाई सबैलाई भङ्ग्रा लगाएर तिनले आमोजका छोरा यशैया अगमवक्ताकहाँ पठाए ।
3 To-day is a day of affliction, and reproach, and rebuke, and anger: for the pangs are come upon the travailing [woman], but she has not strength to bring forth.
तिनीहरूले उनलाई भने, “हिजकियाले भन्नुहुन्छ, 'आजको दिन बालक जन्माउनलाई प्रसव भएको, तर आफ्नो बलाक जन्माउन आमासँग कुनै बल नभएजस्तो दुःख, हप्की र अपमानको दिन हो ।
4 May the Lord thy God hear the words of Rabsaces, which the king of the Assyrians has sent, to reproach the living God, even to reproach with the words which the Lord thy God has heard: therefore thou shalt pray to thy Lord for these that are left.
सायद तपाईंका परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले प्रमुख कमाण्डरका कुराहरू सुन्नुहुनेछ जसलाई तिनका मालिक अश्शूरका राजाले जीवित परमेश्वरको निन्दा गर्न पठाएका छन्, र परमप्रभु तपाईंको परमेश्वरले सुन्नुभएको कुराको निम्ति उहाँले हप्काउनुहुनेछ । अब अझै यहाँ बाँकी रहेकाहरूका निम्ति तपाईंले प्रार्थना गरिदिनुहोस् ।’”
5 So the servants of king Ezekias came to Esaias.
त्यसैले हिजकियाले राजाका सेवकहरू यशैयाकहाँ आए,
6 And Esaias said to them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the Lord, Be not thou afraid at the words which thou hast heard, wherewith the ambassadors of the king of the Assyrians have reproached me,
र यशैयाले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “आफ्ना मालिकलाई भन, 'परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, “अश्शूरका राजाले मेरो अपमान गर्न पठाएका सेवकहरूले भनेका जुन तैंले सुनेको कुरादेखि तँ नडरा ।
7 Behold, I [will] send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a report, and return to his own country, and he shall fall by the sword in his own land.
हेर्, उसमा म एउटा आत्मा हालिदिनेछु, उसले एउटा खबर सुन्नेछ र ऊ फर्केर आफ्नै देशमा जानेछ । उसको आफ्नै देशमा म उसलाई तरवारले मार्नेछु ।”
8 So Rabsaces returned, and found the king of the Assyrians besieging Lobna: for he had heard that he had departed from Lachis.
तब प्रमुख कमाण्डर फर्के र अश्शूरका राजाले लिब्नासँग युद्ध गरिरहेको भेट्टाए, किनकि राजा लाकीशबाट गएका छन् भन्ने तिनले सुनेका थिए ।
9 And Tharaca king of the Ethiopians went forth to attack him. And when he heard it, he turned aside, and sent messengers to Ezekias, saying,
तब कूशका राजा तिर्हाकाह र मिश्रदेशले सनहेरीबको विरुद्ध युद्ध सुरु गरे भन्ने तिनले सुने, त्यसैले तिनले हिजकियालाई यस्तो सन्देशसहित दूतहरू पठाएः
10 Thus shall ye say to Ezekias king of Judea, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of the Assyrians.
“यहूदाका राजा हिजकियालाई यसो भन, 'तिमीले भरोसा गर्ने परमेश्वरले तिमीलाई यसो भनेर छल नगरून्, 'यरूशलेमचाहिं अश्शूरका राजाको हातमा दिइने छैन' ।
11 Hast thou not heard what the kings of the Assyrians have done, how they have destroyed the whole earth? and shalt thou be delivered?
हेर, अश्शूरका राजाले सबै देशहरूलाई पुर्ण रूपमा नष्ट पारेर के गरेका छन् भन्ने तिमीहरूले सुनेका छौ । त्यसैले के तिमीले चाहिं छुट्कारा पाउनेछौ र?
12 Have the gods of the nations which my fathers destroyed delivered them, both Gozan, and Charrhan, and Rapheth, which are in the land of Theemath?
के मेरा पुर्खाहरूले नष्ट पारेका जातिहरूः गोजान, हारान, रेसेप र तेल-अस्सारका अदनका मानिसहरू देवताहरूले तिनीहरूलाई छुटकारा दिए?
13 Where are the kings of Emath? and where [is the king of] Arphath? and where [is the king] of the city of Eppharuaim, [and of] Anagugana?
हमातका राजा, अर्पादका राजा, सपर्बेम सहरहरूका, हेनाका र इव्वाका राजा कहाँ छन्?”
14 And Ezekias received the letter from the messengers, and read it, and went up to the house of the Lord, and opened it before the Lord.
हिजकियाले दूतबाट त्यो पत्र प्राप्त गरे र त्यो पढे । अनि तिनी परमप्रभुको मन्दिरमा गए र त्यसलाई उहाँको सामु फिंजाए ।
15 And Ezekias prayed to the Lord, saying,
हिजकियाले परमप्रभुसँग प्रार्थना गरे,
16 O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, who sittest upon the cherubs, thou alone art the God of every kingdom of the world: thou hast made heaven and earth.
“हे सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वर, तपाईं करूबहरूमाथि विराजमान हुनुहुन्छ, तपाईं नै पृथ्वीका सारा राज्यहरूमाथि एक मात्र परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ ।
17 Incline thine ear, O Lord, hearken, O Lord; open thine eyes, O Lord, look, O Lord: and behold the words of Sennacherim, which he has sent to reproach the living God.
हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंको कान फर्काउनुहोस् र सुन्नुहोस् । हे परमप्रभु तपाईंको आँखा खोल्नुहोस् र हेर्नुहोस्, अनि सनहेरीबका कुरा सुन्नुहोस्, जुन तिनले जीवित परमेश्वरको गिल्ला गर्न पठाएका छन् ।
18 For of a truth, Lord, the kings of the Assyrians have laid waste the whole world, and the countries thereof,
हे परमप्रभु, यो सत्य हो, अश्शूरका राजाहरूले सबै जातिहरू र तिनीहरूका देशलाई विनाश गरेका छन् ।
19 and have cast their idols into the fire: for, they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; and they have cast them away.
तिनीहरूले उनीहरूका देवताहरूलाई आगोले जलाएका छन्, किनकि ति देवताहरू थिएनन् तर मानिसको हातले बनेका काठ र ढुङ्गाका काम मात्र थिए । त्यसैले अश्शूरीहरूले तिनीहरूलाई विनाश गरेका छन् ।
20 But now, O Lord our God, deliver us from his hands, that every kingdom of the earth may know that thou art God alone.
त्यसैले अब, हे परमप्रभु हाम्रो परमेश्वर हामीलाई त्यसको शक्तिबाट बचाउनुहोस्, ताकि पृथ्वीका सबै राज्यले जानोस् कि तपाईं मात्र परमप्रभु हुनुहुन्छ ।”
21 And Esaias the son of Amos was sent to Ezekias, and said to him, Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, I have heard thy prayer to me concerning Sennacherim king of the Assyrians.
तब आमोजका छोरा यशैयाले हिजकियाकहाँ यसो भनेर सन्देश पठाए, “परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ, 'तैंले अश्शूरका राजा सनहेरीबको विषयमा मसँग प्रार्थना गरेको हुनाले,
22 This is the word which God has spoken concerning him; The virgin daughter of Sion has despised thee, and mocked thee; the daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at thee.
परमप्रभुले उसको बारेमा भन्नुभएको वचन यही होः “सियोनका कन्ये छोरीले तँलाई घृणा गर्छे र खिसी गर्न तँमा हाँस्छे । यरूशलेमकी छोरीले तँलाई आफ्नो टाउको हल्लाउँछे ।
23 Whom hast thou reproached and provoked? and against whom hast thou lifted up thy voice? and hast thou not lifted up thine eyes on high against the Holy One of Israel?
तैंले कसको निन्दा र अपमान गरेको छस्? कसको विरुद्ध तैंले घमण्डमा आफ्ना आँखा उचालेको र आफ्नो सोर उच्च पारेको छस्? इस्राएलको परमपवित्रको विरुद्ध हो ।
24 For thou hast reproached the Lord by messengers; for thou hast said, With the multitude of chariots have I ascended to the height of mountains, and to the sides of Libanus; and I have cropped the height of his cedars and the beauty of his cypresses; and I entered into the height of the forest region:
तेरो सेवकहरूद्वारा तैंले परमप्रभुको निन्दा गरेको छस् र भनेको छस्, 'मेरा असंख्या रथहरूसहित पहाडहरूको उच्च स्थानहरूमा र लेबनानको उच्च ठाउँहरूमा म गएको छु । यसका अग्ला-अग्ला देवदारुहरू र यसका असल-असल सल्ला रूखहरूलाई म काट्नेछु र यसका सबभैभन्दा उच्च स्थानहरू, यसका सबभन्दा बढी फलदायी जङ्गलहरूमा म पस्नेछु ।
25 and I have made a bridge, and dried up the waters, and every pool of water.
मैले इनारहरू खनेको छु र पानी पिएको छु । मिश्रदेशका सबै नदीहरूलाई मेरा गोडाको पैतालमुनि मैले सुकाएको छु ।
26 Hast thou not heard of these things which I did of old? I appointed [them] from ancient times; but now have I manifested [my purpose] of desolating nations in [their] strong holds, and them that dwell in strong cities.
मैले यसलाई लामो समुअगि नै कसरी निश्चित गरेको छु र यसलाई प्राचीन समयमा नै गरेको छु भन्ने तैंले सुनेको छैनस्? अहिले म यसलाई पुरा गर्दैछु । तँ यहाँ अभेद्य सहरहरूलाई भग्नावशेष बनाउनलाई छस् ।
27 I weakened [their] hands, and they withered; and they became as dry grass on the house-tops, and as grass.
थोरै बल भएका तिनीहरूका बासिन्दाहरूलाई चूरचूर पारिन्छ र लज्जित हुन्छन् । तिनीहरू खेतका बिरुवाहरू, हरियो घाँस, पुर्वीय बतासअगिको छाना वा खेतमा भएका घाँस हुन् ।
28 But now I know thy rest, and thy going out, and thy coming in.
तर तेरो बसाइ, तँ बाहिर गएको, भित्र आएको र तँ मेरो विरुद्ध रिसाएको मलाई थाहा छ ।
29 And thy wrath wherewith thou hast been enraged, and thy rancour has come up to me; therefore I will put a hook in thy nose, and a bit in thy lips, and will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
म विरुद्धको तेरो रिसको कारणले र तेरो अहङ्कार मेरो कानमा परेको हुनाले, तेरो नाकमा म आफ्नो बल्छी हाल्नेछु र म आफ्नो लगाम तेरो मुखमा हाल्नेछु । तँ जताबाट आएको हो तेतै म तँलाई फर्काउनेछु ।”
30 And this shall be a sign to thee, Eat this year what thou hast sown; and the second year that which is left: and the third year sow, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
तेरो निम्ति चिन्ह यो हुनेछ, “यो वर्ष तैंले आफै उम्रेका कुरा खानेछस्, र दोस्रो वर्षमा त्यसबाट उम्रेका कुरा खानेछस् । तर तेस्रो वर्ष तैंले रोप्नुपर्छ र कटनी गर्नुपर्छ, दाखबारी रोप्नुपर्छ र तिनका फल खानुपर्छ ।
31 And they that are left in Judea shall take root downward, and bear fruit upward:
यहूदाको घरानाका बाँचेर बाँकी रहेकाहरूले फेरि जरा हाल्नेछन् र फल फलाउनेछन् ।
32 for out of Jerusalem there shall be a remnant, and the saved ones out of mount Sion: the zeal of the Lord of hosts shall perform this.
किनकि यरूशलेमबाट बाँकी रहेकाहरू आउनेछन् । सियोन पर्वतबाट बाँचेकाहरू आउनेछन् । सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुको जोशले यो गर्नेछ ।”
33 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the king of the Assyrians, He shall not enter into this city, nor cast a weapon against it, nor bring a shield against it, nor make a rampart round it.
यसकारण परमप्रभुले अश्शूरका राजाको बारेमा यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “यो सहरभित्र ऊ आउनेछैन र उसेले यहाँ एउटा वाण पनि हान्नेछैन । यसको सामु ऊ ढाल लिएर आउनेछैन वा यसको विरुद्धमा घेरा-मचान बनाउनेछैन ।
34 But by the way by which he came, by it shall he return, and shall not enter into this city: thus saith the Lord.
जुन बाटोबाट ऊ आयो त्यही बाटोबाट ऊ नै जानेछ । यस सहरभित्र ऊ पस्नेछैन— यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
35 I will protect this city to save it for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
किनकि मेरो निम्ति र मेरा सेवक दाऊदको निम्ति, म यो सहरको रक्षा गर्नेछु र यसलाई छुटकारा दिनेछु ।”
36 And the angel of the Lord went forth, and slew out of the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty-five thousand: and they arose in the morning and found all [these] bodies dead.
तब परमप्रभुको दूत गए र अश्शूरीको छाउनीमा आक्रमण गरेर १,८५,००० सिपाहीहरूलाई मारे । बिहान सबेरै मानिसहरू उठे, तब लाशहरू जताततै छरिएका थिए ।
37 And Sennacherim king of the Assyrians turned and departed, and dwelt in Nineve.
त्यसैले अश्शूरका राजा सनहेरीबले इस्राएल छाडे र घर गए र निनवेमा नै बसे ।
38 And while he was worshipping Nasarach his country's god in the house, Adramelech and Sarasar his sons smote him with swords; and they escaped into Armenia: and Asordan his son reigned in his stead.
पछि, उसले आफ्नो देवता निस्रोकको मन्दिरमा पुजा गरिरहँदा, उसको छोरा अद्रम्मेलेक र शरेसरले तिनलाई तरवारले मारे । त्यसपछि तिनीहरू आरारातको देशमा भागेर गए । त्यसपछि उसको ठाउँमा उसको छोरा एसरहदोनले राज्य गरे ।
