Osee 12
1 But Ephraim is an evil spirit, he has chased the east wind all the day: he has multiplied empty and vain things, and made a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil has gone in the way of traffic into Egypt.
एफ्राइमले हावा खान्छ र त्यसले पूर्वीय बतासको पछि लाग्छ । त्यसले झुट र हिंसालाई निरन्तर बढाउँछ । तिनीहरूले अश्शूरसँग करार बाँध्दछन् र मिश्रदेशमा जैतूनको तेल लान्छन् ।
2 And the Lord [has] a controversy with Juda, in order to punish Jacob: according to his ways and according to his practices will he recompense him.
यहूदाको विरुद्ध परमप्रभुसँग एउटा मुद्धा छ र याकूबले जे गरेको छ, त्यसको लागि दण्ड दिनुहुनेछ । त्यसका कामहरूका निम्ति उहाँले त्यसलाई बदला दिनुहुनेछ ।
3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and in his labours he had power with God.
गर्भमा नै याकूबले आफ्नो दाजुको कुर्कुच्चा समाते, र आफ्नो जवान अवस्थामा तिनले परमेश्वरसँग लडन्त गरे ।
4 And he prevailed with the angel and was strong: they wept, and intreated me: they found me in the house of On, and there [a word] was spoken to them.
तिनले स्वर्गदूतसँग लडन्त गरे र जिते । तिनी रोए र उहाँको निगाहको निम्ति बिन्ती गरे । तिनले बेथेलमा परमेश्वरलाई भेटे । त्यहाँ तिनीसँग परमेश्वर बोल्नुभयो ।
5 But the Lord God Almighty shall be his memorial.
उहाँ सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ । पुकारा गर्नुपर्ने उहाँको नाउँ “परमप्रभु” हो ।
6 Thou therefore shalt return to thy God: keep thou mercy and judgment, and draw nigh to thy God continually.
यसैले आफ्नो परमेश्वरकहाँ फर्क । करारको विश्वस्तता र न्याय कायम राख र आफ्नो परमेश्वरमा निरन्तर पर्ख ।
7 [As for] Chanaan, in his hand is a balance of unrighteousness: he has loved to tyrannize.
व्यापारीहरूका हातमा छलको तराजु रहेको छ, तिनीहरूलाई छल गर्न मन पराउँछन् ।
8 And Ephraim said, Nevertheless I am rich, I have found refreshment to myself. None of his labours shall be found [available] to him, by reason of the sins which he has committed.
एफ्राइमले भन्यो, “निश्चय नै म धेरै धनी भएको छु । आफ्नो निम्ति मैले धनसम्पत्ति पाएको छु । मेरो सबै काममा कुनै अपराध हुने कुरा, पाप हुने कुनै कुरा तिनीहरूले भेट्टाउनेछैनन् ।”
9 But I the Lord thy God brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: I will yet cause thee to dwell in tabernacles, according to the days of the feast.
“मिश्रदेशदेखि नै म परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर हुँ । तोकिएको चाडका दिनहरूमा झैं, तिमीहरूलाई फेरि म पालहरूमा बस्ने बनाउनेछु ।
10 And I will speak to the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and by the means of the prophets I was represented.
म अगमवक्ताहरूसँग बोलें, र तिमीहरूका निम्ति मैले तिनीहरूलाई धेरै दर्शनहरू दिएँ । अगमवक्ताहरूका हातद्वारा मैले दृष्टान्तहरू दिएँ ।”
11 If Galaad exists not, then the chiefs in Galaad when they sacrificed were false, and their altars were as heaps on the ground of the field.
गिलादमा दुष्टता छ भने, निश्चय नै त्यहाँका मानिसहरू बेकामका छन् । गिलगालमा तिनीहरू साँढेहरू बलि चढाउँछन् । तिनीहरूका वेदीहरू जोतेको खेतमा ढुङ्गाका थुप्रोझैं हुनेछन् ।
12 And Jacob retreated into the plain of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and waited for a wife.
याकूब अरामको देशमा भागे । एक जना पत्नी पाउनलाई इस्राएलले काम गरे, र एक जना पत्नी पाउनलाई तिनले भेडाका बगालको रेखदेख गरे ।
13 And the Lord brought Israel out of the land of Egypt by a prophet, and by a prophet was he preserve.
परमप्रभुले एक जना अगमवक्ताद्वारा इस्राएललाई मिश्रदेशबाट बाहिर ल्याउनुभयो, र एक जना अगमवक्ताद्वारा नै उहाँले तिनीहरूको रेखदेख गर्नुभयो ।
14 Ephraim was angry and excited, therefore his blood shall be poured out upon him, and the Lord shall recompense to him his reproach.
एफ्राइमले परमप्रभुलाई अत्यन्तै क्रोधित पारेको छ । यसैले त्यसका परमप्रभुले त्यसको रगतको दोष त्यसमाथि नै छोड्नुहुनेछ र त्यसको अपमान त्यसैलाई फर्काउनुहुनेछ ।
