< Genesis 22 >

1 And it came to pass after these things that God tempted Abraam, and said to him, Abraam, Abraam; and he said, Lo! I [am here].
Le ɣeyiɣi aɖe megbe la, Mawu do Abraham kpɔ. Eyɔe be, “Abraham!” Etɔ nɛ be, “Nyee nye esi.”
2 And he said, Take thy son, the beloved one, whom thou hast loved—Isaac, and go into the high land, and offer him there for a whole-burnt-offering on one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
Tete Mawu gblɔ be, “Kplɔ viwò ŋutsuvi ɖekɛ la, Isak, ame si gbɔ mèlɔ̃a nu le o la, ne miayi Moria nuto me. Tsɔe sa numevɔe le afi ma le toawo dometɔ ɖeka si mafia wò la dzi.”
3 And Abraam rose up in the morning and saddled his ass, and he took with him two servants, and Isaac his son, and having split wood for a whole-burnt-offering, he arose and departed, and came to the place of which God spoke to him,

4 on the third day; and Abraam having lifted up his eyes, saw the place afar off.
Le ŋkeke ene ƒe mɔzɔzɔ megbe la, Abraham kpɔ teƒe la le adzɔge ʋĩi.
5 And Abraam said to his servants, Sit ye here with the ass, and I and the lad will proceed thus far, and having worshipped we will return to you.
Egblɔ na ɖekakpuiawo be, “Minɔ afi sia kple tedzi la; nye kple Isak míayi ŋgɔ vie aɖado gbe ɖa. Míatrɔ agbɔ fifi laa.”
6 And Abraam took the wood of the whole-burnt-offering, and laid it on Isaac his son, and he took into his hands both the fire and the knife, and the two went together.
Abraham tsɔ vɔsanake la ɖo ta na Isak, eye eya ŋutɔ tsɔ hɛ la kple dzosinu ɖe asi. Ale wo ame eveawo dze mɔ.
7 And Isaac said to Abraam his father, Father. And he said, What is it, son? And he said, Behold the fire and the wood, where is the sheep for a whole-burnt-offering?
Isak bia fofoa Abraham be, “Papa!” Eɖo eŋu nɛ bena “Nyee nye si, vinye!” Ke Isak bia be, “Nake kple dzosinu le mía si, ke afi ka agbo si míatsɔ asa vɔe ya le?”
8 And Abraam said, God will provide himself a sheep for a whole-burnt-offering, [my] son. And both having gone together,
Abraham ɖo eŋu be, “Vinye, Mawu akpɔ ema gbɔ na mí hena vɔsa la.” Ale woyi mɔzɔzɔ la dzi.
9 came to the place which God spoke of to him; and there Abraam built the altar, and laid the wood on it, and having bound the feet of Isaac his son together, he laid him on the altar upon the wood.
Esi woɖo teƒe si Mawu fia Abraham be wòayi la, Abraham ɖi vɔsamlekpui, eye wòɖo nakeawo ɖe edzi nyuie. Ebla Isak, eye wòkɔe mlɔ nakeawo dzi.
10 And Abraam stretched forth his hand to take the knife to slay his son.
Abraham tsɔ eƒe hɛ be yeawu Isak.
11 And an angel of the Lord called him out of heaven, and said, Abraam, Abraam. And he said, Behold, I [am here].
Le ɣe ma ɣi me tututu la, Yehowa ƒe dɔla aɖe do ɣli tso dziƒo be, “Abraham, Abraham!” Abraham tɔ be, “Nyee nye esi.”
12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the child, neither do anything to him, for now I know that thou fearest God, and for my sake thou hast not spared thy beloved son.
Mawudɔla la gblɔ nɛ be, “Tsɔ hɛ la de aku me; mègawɔ nu vevi aɖeke ɖevi la o, elabena menya be Mawu xɔ teƒe gbãtɔ le wò agbenɔnɔ me; mèhe viwò lɔlɔ̃a gɔ̃ hã ɖe megbe tso gbɔnye o.”
13 And Abraam lifted up his eyes and beheld, and lo! a ram caught by his horns in a plant of Sabec; and Abraam went and took the ram, and offered him up for a whole-burnt-offering in the place of Isaac his son.
Enumake Abraham kpɔ agbo aɖe si ƒe dzowo avekawo bla la le avekɔe aɖe me. Ale wòlé agbo la, eye wòtsɔe sa vɔe ɖe ɖevi la teƒe abe numevɔsa ene le vɔsamlekpui la dzi.
14 And Abraam called the name of that place, The Lord hath seen; that they might say to-day, In the mount the Lord was seen.
Abraham na ŋkɔ teƒe la be, “Yehowa naa nu,” eye ŋkɔ sia tsi eŋu va se ɖe egbe.
15 And an angel of the Lord called Abraam the second time out of heaven, saying, I have sworn by myself, says the Lord, because thou hast done this thing, and on my account hast not spared thy beloved son,
Yehowa ƒe dɔla la gayɔ Abraham tso dziƒo,
16 surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand which is by the shore of the sea, and thy seed shall inherit the cities of their enemies.
eye wògblɔ nɛ be, “Nye, Yehowa, meka atam na wò le nye ŋkɔ dzi be esi nèɖo tom, eye mègbe viwò ŋutsuvi lɔlɔ̃a tsɔtsɔ nam o ta la,
17 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because thou hast hearkened to my voice.
makɔ yayra manyagblɔwo ɖe dziwò, eye mana wò dzidzimeviwo nasɔ gbɔ fũu abe ɣletivi siwo le dziƒo alo ƒutake ene. Wò dzidzimeviwo aɖu woƒe futɔwo dzi,
18 And Abraam returned to his servants, and they arose and went together to the well of the oath; and Abraam dwelt at the well of the oath.
eye woanye yayra na dukɔwo katã le anyigba dzi. Esiawo katã ava eme, elabena èɖo tom.”
19 And it came to pass after these things, that it was reported to Abraam, saying, Behold, Melcha herself too has born sons to Nachor thy brother,
Ale Abraham gatrɔ va ɖekakpuiawo gbɔ, eye wogatrɔ yi Beerseba, eye Abraham nɔ Beerseba.
20 Uz the first-born, and Baux his brother, and Camuel the father of the Syrians, and Chazad, and
Le ɣeyiɣi aɖe megbe la, wogblɔ na Abraham be, “Milka hã zu vinɔ, edzi viŋutsuwo na nɔviwò ŋutsu, Nahor.
21 Azav and Phaldes, and Jeldaph, and Bathuel, and Bathuel begot Rebecca;
Uz nye via gbãtɔ, Buz dzɔ ɖe Uz yome, kplɔɖoae nye Kemuel (ame si nye Aram fofo).
22 these are eight sons, which Melcha bore to Nachor the brother of Abraam.
Bubuawoe nye Kesed, Hazo, Pildas, Yidlaf kple Betuel.”
23 And his concubine whose name was Rheuma, she also bore Tabec, and Taam, and Tochos, and Mocha.
Betuel nye Rebeka fofo. Milka dzi ŋutsuvi enyi siawo na Abraham nɔvi ŋutsu, Nahor.
Eƒe ahiãvi si ŋkɔe nye Reuna la hã dzi viŋutsu siawo: Teba, Gaham, Tahas kple Maaka nɛ.
