Ezra 7
1 Now after these things, in the reign of Arthasastha king of the Persians, came up Esdras the son of Saraias, the son of Azarias, the son of Chelcias,
ഈ കാര്യങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നടന്നതിനുശേഷം, പാർസിരാജാവായ അർഥഹ്ശഷ്ടാരാജാവിന്റെ ഭരണകാലത്ത്, എസ്രാ ബാബേലിൽനിന്നും വന്നു. ഇദ്ദേഹം സെരായാവിന്റെ മകനായിരുന്നു. സെരായാവ് അസര്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ, അസര്യാവ് ഹിൽക്കിയാവിന്റെ മകൻ,
2 the son of Selum, the son of Sadduc, the son of Achitob,
ഹിൽക്കിയാവ് ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മകൻ, ശല്ലൂം സാദോക്കിന്റെ മകൻ, സാദോക്ക് അഹീതൂബിന്റെ മകൻ,
3 the son of Samarias, the son of Esria, the son of Mareoth,
അഹീത്തൂബ് അമര്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ, അമര്യാവ് അസര്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ, അസര്യാവ് മെരായോത്തിന്റെ മകൻ,
4 the son of Zaraia, the son of Ozias, the son of Bokki,
മെരായോത്ത് സെരഹ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ, സെരഹ്യാവ് ഉസ്സിയുടെ മകൻ, ഉസ്സി ബുക്കിയുടെ മകൻ,
5 the son of Abisue, the son of Phinees, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the first priest.
ബുക്കി അബീശൂവായുടെ മകൻ, അബീശൂവ ഫീനെഹാസിന്റെ മകൻ, ഫീനെഹാസ് എലെയാസാരിന്റെ മകൻ, എലെയാസാർ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ അഹരോന്റെ മകൻ.
6 This Esdras went up out of Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel gave: and the king gave him [leave], for the hand of the Lord his God was upon him in all things which he sought.
ഈ എസ്രാ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നൽകിയ മോശയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ പ്രാവീണ്യമുള്ള ഒരു വേദജ്ഞനായിരുന്നു. തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കൈ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അനുകൂലമായിരുന്നതിനാൽ അദ്ദേഹം ചോദിച്ചതെല്ലാം രാജാവ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു നൽകിയിരുന്നു.
7 And [some] of the children of Israel went up, and [some] of the priests, and of the Levites, and the singers, and the door-keepers, and the Nathinim, to Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Arthasastha the king.
ഇസ്രായേൽജനത്തിൽ ചിലരും ചില പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും സംഗീതജ്ഞരും വാതിൽക്കാവൽക്കാരും ദൈവാലയശുശ്രൂഷകരും അർഥഹ്ശഷ്ടാരാജാവിന്റെ ഏഴാമാണ്ടിൽ ജെറുശലേമിൽ വന്നുചേർന്നു.
8 And they came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, this [was] the seventh year of the king.
എസ്രാ ജെറുശലേമിൽ വന്നുചേർന്നത് രാജാവിന്റെ ഏഴാമാണ്ടിൽ അഞ്ചാംമാസത്തിലാണ്.
9 For in the first [day] of the first month he began the going up from Babylon, and in the first day of the fifth month, they came to Jerusalem, for the good hand of his God was upon him.
ഒന്നാംമാസം ഒന്നാംതീയതി അദ്ദേഹം ബാബേലിൽനിന്ന് യാത്രതിരിച്ചു. തന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കരുണയുടെ കൈ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അനുകൂലമായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് അഞ്ചാംമാസം ഒന്നാംതീയതി അദ്ദേഹം ജെറുശലേമിൽ എത്തി.
10 For Esdras had determined in his heart to seek the law, and to do and teach the ordinances and judgments in Israel.
യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം പഠിക്കാനും അതനുസരിച്ചു ജീവിക്കാനും അവിടത്തെ ഉത്തരവുകളും നിയമങ്ങളും ഇസ്രായേലിനെ പഠിപ്പിക്കാനും എസ്രാ അർപ്പണബോധമുള്ളവനായിരുന്നു.
11 And this [is] the copy of the order which Arthasastha gave to Esdras the priest, the scribe of the book of the words of the commandments of the Lord, and of his ordinances to Israel.
ഇസ്രായേലിനുള്ള യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പനകളും ഉത്തരവുകളും സംബന്ധിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങളിൽ പണ്ഡിതനും ന്യായപ്രമാണോപദേഷ്ടാവുമായ എസ്രാപുരോഹിതന് അർഥഹ്ശഷ്ടാരാജാവ് നൽകിയ കത്തിന്റെ പകർപ്പ്:
12 Arthasastha, king of kings, to Esdras, the scribe of the law of the Lord God of heaven, Let the order and the answer be accomplished.
രാജാധിരാജാവായ അർഥഹ്ശഷ്ടാവിൽനിന്ന്, സ്വർഗത്തിലെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണോപദേഷ്ടാവുമായ എസ്രാപുരോഹിതന്: സമാധാനാശംസകൾ.
13 A decree is made by me, that every one who is willing in my kingdom of the people of Israel, and of the priests and Levites, to go to Jerusalem, [be permitted] to go with thee.
നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്തുള്ള ഇസ്രായേൽജനത്തിലും പുരോഹിതന്മാരിലും ലേവ്യരിലും ആർക്കെങ്കിലും ജെറുശലേമിലേക്കു പോകാൻ ആഗ്രഹമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അവർക്കു താങ്കളോടൊപ്പം പോകാൻ നാം കൽപ്പനകൊടുക്കുന്നു.
14 [One] has been sent from the king and the seven councillors, to visit Judea and Jerusalem, according to the law of their God that is in thine hand.
താങ്കളുടെ കൈവശമുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലുള്ളതുപോലെ യെഹൂദ്യയെയും ജെറുശലേമിനെയുംകുറിച്ച് അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടി, രാജാവും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഏഴ് ഉപദേശകരും താങ്കളെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
15 And for the house of the Lord [there have been sent] silver and gold, which the king and the councillors have freely given to the God of Israel, who dwells in Jerusalem.
ജെറുശലേമിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിനു രാജാവും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഉപദേശകരും ഔദാര്യാർപ്പണമായി നൽകുന്ന സ്വർണവും വെള്ളിയും
16 And all the silver and gold, whatsoever thou shalt find in all the land of Babylon, with the freewill-offering of the people, and the priests that offer freely for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.
അതോടൊപ്പം ബാബേൽ പ്രവിശ്യയിൽനിന്നൊക്കെയും ലഭിക്കുന്ന സ്വർണവും വെള്ളിയും ജെറുശലേമിലെ ദൈവാലയത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ജനങ്ങളും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും മനസ്സോടെ നൽകുന്ന സ്വമേധാദാനങ്ങളും അവിടെ എത്തിക്കാനും രാജാവും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഏഴുമന്ത്രിമാരും താങ്കളെ അയയ്ക്കുന്നു,
17 And as for every one that arrives [there], speedily order him by this letter [to bring] calves, rams, lambs, and their meat-offerings, and their drink-offerings; and thou shalt offer them on the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.
ഈ പണം താങ്കൾ ശ്രദ്ധാപൂർവം വിനിയോഗിച്ച്, കാളകളെയും ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരെയും ആൺകുഞ്ഞാടുകളെയും അവയ്ക്കുവേണ്ട ഭോജനയാഗത്തോടും പാനീയയാഗത്തോടുമൊപ്പം വാങ്ങി ജെറുശലേമിലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിലെ യാഗപീഠത്തിൽ അർപ്പിക്കണം.
18 And whatever it shall seem good to thee and to thy brethren to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, do as it is pleasing to your God.
ശേഷമുള്ള വെള്ളിയും സ്വർണവുംകൊണ്ടു താങ്കൾക്കും താങ്കളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്കും, നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഹിതപ്രകാരം, ഉചിതമെന്നുതോന്നുന്നരീതിയിൽ ചെയ്യുക.
19 And deliver the vessels that are given thee for the service of the house of God, before God in Jerusalem.
നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷയ്ക്കായി നിങ്ങളുടെപക്കൽ ഏൽപ്പിച്ച ഉപകരണങ്ങളെല്ലാംതന്നെ ജെറുശലേമിലെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കണം.
20 And as to the rest of the need of the house of thy God, thou shalt give from the king's treasure-houses,
നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു കൊടുക്കാനായി നിങ്ങളുടെ ചുമതലയിൽ മറ്റെന്തെങ്കിലും ആവശ്യമായിവന്നാൽ അവ രാജാവിന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽനിന്ന് നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭ്യമാക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.
21 and from me, whatever it shall seem [good] to thee to give. I king Arthasastha have made a decree for all the treasuries that are in the [country] beyond the river, that whatever Esdras the priest and scribe of the God of heaven may ask you, it shall be done speedily,
അർഥഹ്ശഷ്ടാരാജാവായ നാം യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിക്കക്കരെയുള്ള പ്രവിശ്യകളിലെ എല്ലാ ഭണ്ഡാരവിചാരകന്മാരോടും കൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു: സ്വർഗത്തിലെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണോപദേഷ്ടാവായ എസ്രാപുരോഹിതൻ നിങ്ങളോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നതനുസരിച്ച്,
22 to [the amount of] a hundred talents of silver, and a hundred measures of wheat, and a hundred baths of wine, and a hundred baths of oil, and salt without reckoning.
നൂറുതാലന്ത് വെള്ളി, നൂറുകോർ ഗോതമ്പ്, നൂറുബത്ത് വീഞ്ഞ്, നൂറുബത്ത് ഒലിവെണ്ണ, ആവശ്യംപോലെ ഉപ്പ് എന്നിവയും നൽകാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണം.
23 Let whatever is in the decree of the God of heaven, be done: take heed lest any one make an attack on the house of the God of heaven, lest at any time there shall be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons.
രാജാവിന്റെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെയും രാജ്യത്തിനുനേരേ കോപമുണ്ടാകാതിരിക്കാൻ സ്വർഗത്തിലെ ദൈവം കൽപ്പിക്കുന്നതെന്തും, സ്വർഗത്തിലെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ശുഷ്കാന്തിയോടെ നിർവഹിക്കുക.
24 Also this has been declared to you, with respect to all the priests, and Levites, the singers, porters, Nathinim and ministers of the house of God, let no tribute be [paid] to thee; thou shalt not have power to oppress them.
പുരോഹിതന്മാർ, ലേവ്യർ, സംഗീതജ്ഞർ, വാതിൽക്കാവൽക്കാർ, ദൈവാലയദാസന്മാർ, ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ മറ്റു ജോലിക്കാർ എന്നിവരിൽ ആരിൽനിന്നും കരമോ കപ്പമോ കടത്തുകൂലിയോ ഈടാക്കാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അധികാരമില്ല എന്നുംകൂടി അറിയണം.
25 And thou, Esdras, as the wisdom of God [is] in thy hand, appoint scribes and judges, that they may judge for all the people beyond the river, all that know the law of the Lord thy God; and ye shall make it known to him that knows not.
എസ്രായേ, താങ്കളും താങ്കളുടെ ദൈവം താങ്കൾക്കു നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്ന ജ്ഞാനമനുസരിച്ച്, യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിക്കക്കരെയുള്ള പ്രവിശ്യയിലെ എല്ലാ ജനങ്ങളെയും താങ്കളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അറിയുന്ന ഏവരെയും ന്യായപാലനം നടത്തേണ്ടതിനു ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെയും അധികാരികളെയും നിയമിക്കുക. ന്യായപ്രമാണം അറിയാത്തവരെ അതു പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക.
26 And whosoever shall not do the law of God, and the law of the king readily, judgment shall be taken upon him, whether for death or for chastisement, or for a fine of his property, or casting into prison.
താങ്കളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണമോ രാജാവിന്റെ നിയമമോ അനുസരിക്കാത്ത ഏതൊരാൾക്കും വധശിക്ഷ, നാടുകടത്തൽ, വസ്തുക്കളുടെ കണ്ടുകെട്ടൽ, തടവ് എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഏതുവിധ ശിക്ഷയും കർക്കശമായിത്തന്നെ നൽകണം.
27 Blessed [be] the Lord God of our fathers, who has put it thus into the heart of the king, to glorify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem;
ജെറുശലേമിലുള്ള യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തെ ആദരിക്കാൻ രാജാവിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഇപ്രകാരം പ്രേരണനൽകുന്നതിനു, രാജാവിന്റെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മന്ത്രിമാരുടെയും വീരന്മാരായ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ അവിടത്തെ മഹാദയ എന്റെമേൽ ചൊരിഞ്ഞ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ഇപ്രകാരം നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കൈ എനിക്ക് അനുകൂലമായിരുന്നതിനാൽ, എന്നോടുകൂടെ പോകാൻ ഇസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നു നേതാക്കന്മാരെയും കൂട്ടുന്നതിനും ഞാൻ ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടു.
28 and has given me favour in the eyes of the king, and of his councillors, and all the rulers of the king, the exalted ones. And I was strengthened according to the good hand of God upon me, and I gathered chief men of Israel to go up with me.
