Ezra 6
1 Then Darius the king made a decree, and caused a search to be made in the record-offices, where the treasure is stored in Babylon.
ദാര്യാവേശ് രാജാവിന്റെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം, ബാബേൽ ഭണ്ഡാരഗൃഹങ്ങളിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്ന രേഖാശാലകൾ പരിശോധിച്ചു;
2 And there was found in the city, in the palace, a volume, and this was the record written in it.
മേദ്യപ്രവിശ്യയിലെ അഹ്മെഥാ കോട്ടയിൽനിന്ന് ഇപ്രകാരം ഒരു ചുരുൾ കണ്ടെത്തി. അതിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ എഴുതപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു: നിവേദനപത്രിക:
3 In the first year of king Cyrus, Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the holy house of God that was in Jerusalem, [saying, ]Let the house be built, and the place where they sacrifice the sacrifices. (Also he appointed its elevation, in height sixty cubits; its breadth [was] of sixty cubits.)
കോരെശ് രാജാവിന്റെ ഒന്നാമാണ്ടിൽ, രാജാവു ജെറുശലേമിലെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് ഒരു കൽപ്പന പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു: ജെറുശലേമിലെ ദൈവാലയം യാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന സ്ഥലമായി പുനർനിർമിക്കപ്പെടട്ടെ. അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ ഇടുകയും അത് അറുപതുമുഴം ഉയരത്തിലും അറുപതുമുഴം വീതിയിലും പണിയുകയും വേണം.
4 And [let there be] three strong layers of stone, and one layer of timber; and the expense shall be paid out of the house of the king.
അതിനു മൂന്നുനിര വലിയ കല്ലുകളും, തടിയുടെ ഒരുനിരയും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം. ഇവയുടെ ചെലവ് രാജഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽനിന്നാണ് വഹിക്കേണ്ടത്.
5 And the silver and the gold vessels of the house of God, which Nabuchodonosor carried off from the house that was in Jerusalem, and carried to Babylon, let them even be given, and be carried to the temple that is in Jerusalem, and put in the place where they were set in the house of God.
ഇതിനുപുറമേ, ജെറുശലേമിലെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽനിന്ന് നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ ബാബേലിലേക്കു എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുവന്ന, ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ സ്വർണം, വെള്ളി, തുടങ്ങിയ ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ ജെറുശലേമിലെ മന്ദിരത്തിലെ അവയുടെ പൂർവസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽത്തന്നെ വെക്കാൻ അവ തിരികെ നൽകേണ്ടതുമാണ്.
6 Now, ye rulers beyond the river, Satharbuzanai, and their fellow-servants the Apharsachaeans, who [are] on the other side of the river, give [these things], keeping far from that place.
ആയതിനാൽ യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിക്കു മറുകരെയുള്ള പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ പ്രതിനിധികളായ തത്നായിയും ശെഥർ-ബോസ്നായിയും ആ പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ മറ്റ് അധികാരികളായ നിങ്ങളും അവിടെനിന്ന് അകന്നു നിൽക്കട്ടെ;
7 Now let alone the work of the house of God: let the rulers of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build that house of God on its place.
ഈ ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ നിർമാണത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഇടപെടരുത്. യെഹൂദരുടെ ദേശാധിപതിയും യെഹൂദനേതാക്കന്മാരും ദൈവാലയം അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്തുതന്നെ പണിയട്ടെ.
8 Also a decree has been made by me, if haply ye may do somewhat in concert with the elders of the Jews for the building of that house of God: to wit, out of the king's property, [even] the tributes beyond the river, let there be money to defray the expenses carefully granted to those men, so that they be not hindered.
അതുമാത്രമല്ല, ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ പണിയിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദനേതാക്കന്മാർക്കു നിങ്ങൾ ഇപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കണമെന്നും നാം കൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു: പണിമുടങ്ങാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിക്കു മറുകരെയുള്ള പ്രവിശ്യ രാജഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലേക്കു നൽകേണ്ടതായ വരുമാനത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ ചെലവു പൂർണമായി മുടക്കംകൂടാതെ വഹിക്കേണം.
9 And whatever need [there may be], ye shall give both the young of bulls and rams, and lambs for whole-burnt-offerings to the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, oil: —let it be given them according to the word of the priests that are in Jerusalem, day by day whatsoever they shall ask;
അവർക്ക് ആവശ്യമുള്ള എല്ലാ വസ്തുക്കളും—സ്വർഗത്തിലെ ദൈവത്തിനു ഹോമയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ആവശ്യമായ കാളക്കിടാക്കൾ, ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാർ, ആൺകുഞ്ഞാടുകൾ എന്നിവയും ഗോതമ്പ്, ഉപ്പ്, വീഞ്ഞ്, ഒലിവെണ്ണ, എന്നിവയും ജെറുശലേമിലെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ അഭ്യർഥനപ്രകാരം അവർക്കു മുടക്കംകൂടാതെ ദിവസേന നൽകണം.
10 that they may offer sweet savours to the God of heaven, and that they may pray for the life of the king and his sons.
ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ സ്വർഗത്തിലെ ദൈവത്തിനു പ്രസാദകരമായ യാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കുകയും, രാജാവിന്റെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മക്കളുടെയും ക്ഷേമത്തിനുവേണ്ടി പ്രാർഥിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമല്ലോ!
11 And a decree has been made by me, that every man who shall alter this word, timber shall be pulled down from his house, and let him be lifted up and slain upon it, and his house shall be confiscated.
ഈ കൽപ്പനകളിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും മാറ്റം വരുത്തിയാൽ അവന്റെ വീടിന്റെ ഒരു ഉത്തരം വലിച്ചെടുത്ത് നാട്ടി അതിൽ അവനെ തൂക്കിക്കളയുകയും, അവന്റെ വീട് കൽക്കൂമ്പാരമാക്കുകയും വേണം എന്നുകൂടി നാം കൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
12 And may the God whose name dwells there, overthrow every king and people who shall stretch out his hand to alter or destroy the house of God which is in Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be diligently [attended to].
ഇതിൽ മാറ്റം വരുത്തുന്നതിനോ ജെറുശലേമിലെ ഈ ദൈവാലയം നശിപ്പിക്കാനോ തുനിയുന്ന ഏതു രാജാവിനെയോ ജനത്തെയോ തന്റെ നാമം അവിടെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം നശിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ. ദാര്യാവേശ് എന്ന നാം ഉത്തരവാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇവ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ നടപ്പിലാക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.
13 Then Thanthanai the governor on this side beyond the river, Satharbuzanai, and his fellow-servants, according to that which king Darius sent, so they did diligently.
ദാര്യാവേശ് രാജാവ് അയച്ച കൽപ്പന ലഭിച്ചപ്പോൾ നദിക്കു മറുകരെയുള്ള പ്രവിശ്യയുടെ ദേശാധിപതിയായ തത്നായിയും ശെഥർ-ബോസ്നായിയും അവരുടെ കൂട്ടാളികളും ചേർന്ന് രാജാവ് കൽപ്പിച്ചതെല്ലാം ജാഗ്രതയോടെ ചെയ്തു.
14 And the elders of the Jews and the Levites built, at the prophecy of Aggaeus the prophet, and Zacharias the son of Addo: and they built up, and finished [it], by the decree of the God of Israel, and by the decree of Cyrus, and Darius, and Arthasastha, kings of the Persians.
അങ്ങനെ യെഹൂദനേതാക്കന്മാർ പണി തുടർന്നു. ഹഗ്ഗായി പ്രവാചകന്റെയും ഇദ്ദോവിന്റെ പിൻഗാമിയായ സെഖര്യാവിന്റെയും പ്രവചനങ്ങളാൽ അവർ അഭിവൃദ്ധിപ്പെട്ടും വന്നു. ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആജ്ഞയനുസരിച്ചും പാർസിരാജാക്കന്മാരായ കോരെശ്, ദാര്യാവേശ്, അർഥഹ്ശഷ്ട എന്നിവരുടെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരവും അവർ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പണി പൂർത്തിയാക്കി.
15 And they finished this house by the third day of the month Adar, which is the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.
ദാര്യാവേശ് രാജാവിന്റെ ഭരണത്തിന്റെ ആറാമാണ്ടിൽ, ആദാർമാസം മൂന്നാംതീയതിയാണ് ഈ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പണി പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്.
16 And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of the house of God with gladness.
ഇസ്രായേൽജനവും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും മടങ്ങിവന്ന മറ്റു പ്രവാസികളും ഈ ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ സന്തോഷപൂർവം ആഘോഷിച്ചു.
17 And they offered for the dedication of the house of God a hundred calves, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs, twelve kids of the goats for a sin-offering for all Israel, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.
അവർ നൂറ് കാളയെയും ഇരുനൂറ് ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും നാനൂറ് ആൺകുഞ്ഞാടിനെയും ഇസ്രായേൽ മുഴുവന്റെയും പാപശുദ്ധീകരണയാഗമായി ഇസ്രായേൽഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിനൊത്തവണ്ണം പന്ത്രണ്ടു മുട്ടാടുകളെയും ഈ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠാവേളയിൽ അർപ്പിച്ചു.
18 And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their separate orders, for the services of God in Jerusalem, according to the writing of the book of Moses.
മോശയുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നപ്രകാരം അവർ ജെറുശലേമിലെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷയ്ക്കായി പുരോഹിതന്മാരെ അവരുടെ ഗണപ്രകാരവും ലേവ്യരെ അവരുടെ ക്രമപ്രകാരവും നിയോഗിച്ചു.
19 And the children of the captivity kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.
ഒന്നാംമാസം പതിന്നാലാംതീയതി പ്രവാസികൾ പെസഹാ ആചരിച്ചു.
20 For the priests and Levites were purified, all were clean to a man, and they slew the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.
പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും തങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു; ആചാരപരമായി അവരെല്ലാം ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു. എല്ലാ പ്രവാസികൾക്കും തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരങ്ങളായ പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കും തങ്ങൾക്കുംവേണ്ടി അവർ പെസഹാക്കുഞ്ഞാടിനെ അറത്തു.
21 And the children of Israel ate the passover, [even] they that were of the captivity, and every one who separated himself to them from the uncleanness of the nations of the land, to seek the Lord God of Israel.
പ്രവാസത്തിൽനിന്നു മടങ്ങിയ ഇസ്രായേൽജനവും, ദേശത്തെ യെഹൂദേതരരായവരുടെ അശുദ്ധികളിൽനിന്ന് അകന്ന് ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവരോടു ചേർന്നവരും ഒരുമിച്ചു പെസഹാ കഴിച്ചു.
22 and they kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with gladness, because the Lord made them glad, and he turned the heart of the king of Assyria to them, to strengthen their hands in the works of the house of the God of Israel.
യഹോവ അവരെ ആഹ്ലാദിപ്പിക്കുകയും ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയം പണിയാൻ അവരെ സഹായിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിന്റെ ഹൃദയം അവർക്ക് അനുകൂലമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതിനാൽ അവർ പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ പെരുന്നാൾ ഏഴുദിവസം ആനന്ദത്തോടെ ആചരിച്ചു.
