< Ezra 5 >
1 And Aggaeus the prophet, and Zacharias the [son] of Addo, prophesied a prophesy to the Jews in Juda and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, [even] to them.
In pacl sac mwet palu luo, Haggai ac Zechariah wen natul Iddo, eltal mutawauk in kaskas ke Inen God lun Israel nu sin mwet Jew su muta in Judah ac Jerusalem.
2 Then rose up Zorobabel the [son] of Salathiel, and Jesus the son of Josedec, and began to build the house of God that was in Jerusalem: and with them [were] the prophets of God assisting them.
Ke Zerubbabel wen natul Shealtiel, ac Joshua wen natul Jehozadak, eltal lohng kas laltal, eltal mutawauk in sifil musai Tempul Jerusalem, ac mwet palu luo ah kasreltal.
3 At the same time came there upon them Thanthanai, the governor on this side the river, and Satharbuzanai, and their fellow-servants, and spoke thus to them, Who has ordained a decree for you to build this house, and to [provide] this preparation?
Na Governor Tattenai lun acn Roto-in-Euphrates, ac Shethar Bozenai, ac mwet pwapa wialos, elos sulaklak tuku nu Jerusalem ac kouyak fahk, “Su sap kowos in musai Tempul se inge ac sang kufwa nu kac?”
4 Then they spoke thus to them, What are the names of the men that build this city?
Elos oayapa siyuk inen mukul nukewa su wi musai Tempul sac.
5 But the eyes of God were upon the captivity of Juda, and they did not cause them to cease till the decree was brought to Darius; and then was sent by the tribute-gatherer concerning this
Tusruktu God El tawi na mwet kol lun mwet Jew, ac mwet pwapa Persia elos sulela mu elos ac tia mukuikui kac nwe ke elos sim nu sin Tokosra Fulat Darius ac eis kas sel.
6 the copy of a letter, which Thanthanai, the governor of the part on this side the river, and Satharbuzanai, and their fellow-servants the Apharsachaeans who were on this side of the river, sent to king Darius.
Pa inge kas ma elos supwala nu sel tokosra fulat:
7 They sent an account to him, and thus it was written in it: All peace to king Darius.
“Nu sin Tokosra Fulat Darius, lela tokosrai lom in misla.
8 Be it known to the king, that we went into the land of Judea, to the house of the great God; and it is building with choice stones, and they are laying timbers in the walls, and that work is prospering, and goes on favorably in their hands.
“Kut ke kom in etu lah kut som nu in acn Judah ac konauk lah Tempul lun God fulat sifil musaiyuk inge ke eot maspang lulap ac ke sak maspang lulap oakwuki in sinka uh. Arulana oaru oreyen orekma uh, ac fahsr na ku.
9 Then we asked those elders, and thus we said to them, Who gave you the order to build this house, and to [provide] this preparation?
“Kut tuh siyuk sin mwet kol lalos in fahk nu sesr lah su sapkin tuh elos in sifil musai Tempul sac ac sang kufwa nu kac.
10 And we asked them their names, [in order] to declare [them] to thee, so as to write to thee the names of their leading men.
Kut oayapa siyuk selos inen mwet kol orekma uh kut in mau ku pac in akkalemye nu sum.
11 And they answered us thus, saying, We [are] the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we [are] building the house which had been built many years before this, and a great king of Israel built it, and established it for them.
“Elos topuk ac fahk, ‘Kut mwet kulansap lun God lun kusrao ac faclu, ac kut sifil musai Tempul se su nuna musala ac itukyang kufwa nu kac yac puspis somla sin sie tokosra na ku lun Israel.
12 But after that our fathers provoked the God of heaven, he gave them into the hands of Nabuchodonosor the Chaldean, king of Babylon, and he destroyed this house, and carried the people captive to Babylon.
Tuh ke sripen mwet matu lasr meet ah akkasrkusrakye God lun Kusrao, El fuhlela elos in sruoh sin Tokosra Nebuchadnezzar lun Babylonia, sie sin leum lun Chaldea. Tempul sac tuh kunausyukla, ac utukla mwet uh nu in sruoh Babylonia.
13 And in the first year of king Cyrus, Cyrus the king made a decree that this house of God should be built.
Na in yac se meet ke Tokosra Fulat Cyrus el leumi acn Babylonia, el sapkin tuh Tempul uh in sifil musaiyuk.
14 And the gold and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nabuchodonosor brought out from the house that was in Jerusalem, and carried them into the temple of the king, them did king Cyrus bring out from the temple of the king, and gave them to Sabanasar the treasurer, who was over the treasurer;
15 and said to him, Take all the vessels, and go, put them in the house that is in Jerusalem in their place.

16 Then that Sabanazar came, and laid the foundations of the house of God in Jerusalem: and from that time even until now it has been building, and has not been finished.
Ouinge Sheshbazzar el som ac oakiya pwelung la. Na musa sac tutafla in pacl sac me nwe inge, tusruktu soenna safla.’
17 And now, if it [seem] good to the king, lest search be made in the treasure-house of the king at Babylon, that thou mayest know [if it be] that a decree was made by king Cyrus to build that house of God that was in Jerusalem, and let the king send to us when he has learnt concerning this [matter].
“Inge, O Tokosra Fulat, fin ou lungse lom, sap in sukok in ma simla ke sramsram matu Babylon, tuh in kalem lah pwaye ku sutuu lah Tokosra Fulat Cyrus pa sapkin tuh Tempul se in Jerusalem inge in sifilpa musaiyuk. Na kom fah akkalemye nu sesr lah mea kom nunku mu fal in orek ke sripa se inge.”
