Jezekiel 4
1 And thou, son of man, take thee a brick, and thou shalt set it before thy face, and shalt portray on it the city, [even] Jerusalem.
“மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ காய்ந்த செங்கல் ஒன்றை எடுத்து, அதை உன்முன் வைத்து, அதன்மேல் எருசலேம் நகரை வரைந்துகொள்.
2 And thou shalt besiege it, and build works against it, and throw up a mound round about it, and pitch camps against it, and set up engines round about.
அதன்பின் அதை முற்றுகையிட்டு, அதற்கு விரோதமாய் முற்றுகைத்தளங்களை அமைத்து, கோட்டை கட்டி, மண்மேடுகளைப் போடு. அதற்கு விரோதமாக முகாம்களை அமைத்து, சுற்றிலும் சுவரை இடிக்கும் இயந்திரங்களை வை.
3 And take thou to thyself an iron pan, and thou shalt set it [for] an iron wall between thee and the city: and thou shalt set thy face against it, and it shall be in a siege, and thou shalt besiege it. This is a sign to the children of Israel.
பின்னர் இரும்புச்சட்டி ஒன்றை எடுத்து, அதை உனக்கும் நகருக்கும் இடையிலான இரும்புச்சுவராக்கி, அதற்கு நேராக உனது முகத்தைத் திருப்பிக்கொள். அது முற்றுகையிடப்பட்டிருக்கும். நீயே அதை முற்றுகையிடுவாய். இது இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தாருக்கு ஒரு அடையாளமாய் இருக்கும்.
4 And thou shalt lie upon thy left side, and lay the iniquities of the house of Israel upon it, according to the number of the hundred and fifty days [during] which thou shalt lie upon it: and thou shalt bear their iniquities.
“மேலும் நீ இடது புறமாய்ப் படுத்து இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தின் பாவங்களை உன்மீது சுமந்துகொள். அவ்வாறு நீ படுத்திருக்கும் நாட்களின் அளவுக்கு அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களைச் சுமப்பாய்.
5 For I have appointed thee their iniquities for a number of days, for a hundred and ninety days: so thou shalt bear the iniquities of the house of Israel.
அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களின் வருடங்களுக்கு ஏற்ப அதேயளவு நாட்களை நான் உனக்கு நியமித்திருக்கிறேன். ஆகவே, நீ முந்நூற்றுத்தொண்ணூறு நாட்கள்வரை இஸ்ரயேல் வீட்டாரின் பாவத்தைச் சுமப்பாய்.
6 And thou shalt accomplish this, and [then] shalt lie on thy right side, and shalt bear the iniquities of the house of Juda forty days: I have appointed thee a day for a year.
“அது நிறைவேறியபின் மீண்டும் நீ வலப்பக்கமாய்ப் படுத்து, நாற்பது நாட்கள்வரை யூதா வீட்டாரின் பாவத்தைச் சுமக்கவேண்டும். ஒவ்வொரு நாளையும் ஒவ்வொரு வருடமாக நான் கணக்கிட்டிருக்கிறேன்.
7 So thou shalt set thy face to the siege of Jerusalem, and shalt strengthen thine arm, and shalt prophesy against it.
ஆகவே, எருசலேம் முற்றுகையிடப்படுவதைத் தொடர்ந்து காண்பித்து நீ உன் முகத்தைத் திருப்பி, உன் கரங்களை உயர்த்தி அதற்கு விரோதமாக இறைவாக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டும்.
8 And, behold, I have prepared bonds for thee, land thou mayest not turn from thy one side to the other, until the days of thy siege shall be accomplished.
உனது முற்றுகையின் நாட்களை நிறைவேற்றம்வரை, நீ ஒருபுறம் இருந்து மறுபுறம் புரளாதபடிக்குக் கயிறுகளால் உன்னைக் கட்டுவேன்.
9 Take thou also to thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and bread-corn; and thou shalt cast them into one earthen vessel, and shalt make them into loaves for thyself; and thou shalt eat them a hundred and ninety days, according to the number of the days [during] which thou sleepest on thy side.
“நீ கோதுமை, வாற்கோதுமை, பெரும்பயறு, சிறுபயறு, தினை, சாமைகோதுமை ஆகியவற்றை எடுத்துக்கொள். அவைகளைப் பாத்திரம் ஒன்றிலிட்டு உனக்கு அப்பம் சுடுவாய். நீ ஒரு பக்கமாய்ப் படுத்திருக்கும் முந்நூற்றுத்தொண்ணூறு நாட்களும் அவைகளைச் சாப்பிடவேண்டும்.
10 And thou shalt eat thy food by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat them.
ஒரு நாளைக்கு இருபது சேக்கல் உணவை நிறுத்துத் தினமும் குறிக்கப்பட்ட நேரத்தில் அதைச் சாப்பிடு.
11 And thou shalt drink water by measure, even from time to time thou shalt drink the sixth part of a hin.
அத்துடன் ஆறில் ஒரு ஹின் அளவு தண்ணீரையும் அளந்து குறிக்கப்பட்ட நேரத்தில் குடிக்கவேண்டும்.
12 And thou shalt eat them [as] a barley cake: thou shalt bake them before their eyes in man's dung.
ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் உன் உணவை வாற்கோதுமை அப்பத்தைப்போலவே தயார் செய். அதை அவர்கள் காணும்படி மனித கழிவுகளை எரிபொருளாக்கி, அந்த நெருப்பிலேயே அதைச் சுடவேண்டும்.”
13 And thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel; Thus shall the children of Israel eat unclean things among the Gentiles.
இவ்விதமாகவே, “இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் நான் அவர்களைத் துரத்தும் நாடுகளிடையே தமது உணவைத் தீட்டுள்ளதாய் சாப்பிடுவார்கள்” என்று யெகோவா சொன்னார்.
14 Then I said, Not so, Lord God of Israel: surely my soul has not been defiled with uncleanness; nor have I eaten, that which died of itself or was torn of beasts from my birth until now; neither has any corrupt flesh entered into my mouth.
அப்பொழுது நான், “ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவே, அப்படியல்ல; நான் என்னை ஒருபோதும் கறைப்படுத்தவில்லை. என் இளவயதுமுதல் இன்றுவரை இயற்கையாய் இறந்ததையோ, காட்டு மிருகங்களால் கொல்லப்பட்டதையோ நான் சாப்பிட்டதே இல்லையே! அசுத்தமான இறைச்சி எதுவுமே என் வாய்க்குள் போனதும் இல்லையே!” என்றேன்.
15 And he said to me, Behold, I have given thee dung of oxen instead of man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy loaves upon it.
அதற்கு அவர், “சரி; அப்படியானால் மனித கழிவுக்கு பதிலாக பசுவின் சாணத்தில் அப்பத்தைச்சுட உனக்கு அனுமதியளிக்கிறேன்” என்றார்.
16 And he said to me, Son of man, behold, I break the support of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight and in want; and shall drink water by measure, and in a state of ruin:
மேலும் அவர் என்னிடம், “மனுபுத்திரனே, எருசலேமில் வழங்கப்படும் உணவை நிறுத்தப்போகிறேன். மக்கள் அப்பத்தை நிறை பார்த்து ஏக்கத்தோடு சாப்பிடுவார்கள். தண்ணீரையும் அளவு பார்த்து வேதனையோடே குடிப்பார்கள்.
17 that they may want bread and water; and a man and his brother shall be brought to ruin, and they shall pine away in their iniquities.
ஏனெனில் அங்கே உணவும் தண்ணீரும் குறைந்துபோகும். அவர்கள் ஒருவரைப்பார்த்து ஒருவர் கலக்கமடைந்து, தங்கள் பாவத்தினிமித்தம் நலிந்துபோவார்கள்.
