< Exodus 8 >

1 And the Lord said to Moses, Go in to Pharao, and thou shalt say to him, These things says the Lord: send forth my people, that they may serve me.
Nígbà náà ni Olúwa sọ fún Mose pé, “Padà tọ Farao lọ kí ó sì sọ fún un pé, ‘Èyí ni Olúwa wí: Jẹ́ kí àwọn ènìyàn mi kí ó lọ, kí wọn ó bá à lè sìn mi.
2 And if thou wilt not send them forth, behold, I afflict all thy borders with frogs:
Bí ìwọ bá kọ̀ láti jẹ́ kí wọn ó lọ, èmi yóò fi ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àwọn ọ̀pọ̀lọ́ kọlu gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè rẹ.
3 and the river shall teem with frogs, and they shall go up and enter into thy houses, and into thy bed-chambers, and upon thy beds, and upon the houses of thy servants, and of thy people and on thy dough, and on thine ovens.
Odò Naili yóò kún fún ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àwọn ọ̀pọ̀lọ́. Wọn yóò gòkè wá sí ààfin rẹ, àti yàrá rẹ ni orí ibùsùn rẹ. Wọn yóò gòkè wá sí ilé àwọn ìjòyè rẹ àti sí ara àwọn ènìyàn rẹ, àti sí ibi ìdáná rẹ, àti sí inú ìkòkò ìyẹ̀fun rẹ.
4 And upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, shall the frogs come up.
Àwọn ọ̀pọ̀lọ́ yóò gun ara rẹ àti ara àwọn ìjòyè rẹ, àti ara gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn rẹ.’”
5 And the Lord said to Moses, Say to Aaron thy brother, Stretch forth with the hand thy rod over the rivers, and over the canals, and over the pools, and bring up the frogs.
Ní ìgbà náà ni Olúwa sọ fún Mose pé, “Sọ fún Aaroni, ‘Kí ó na ọwọ́ rẹ̀ jáde pẹ̀lú ọ̀pá sí orí àwọn odò kéékèèké àti odò ńlá, àti sí orí àwọn àbàtà kí ó sì mú àwọn ọ̀pọ̀lọ́ gòkè wá sí ilẹ̀ Ejibiti.’”
6 And Aaron stretched forth his hand over the waters of Egypt, and brought up the frogs: and the frog was brought up, and covered the land of Egypt.
Ní ìgbà náà ni Aaroni sì na ọwọ́ rẹ̀ jáde sí orí àwọn omi Ejibiti, àwọn ọ̀pọ̀lọ́ sì wá, wọ́n sì bo gbogbo ilẹ̀.
7 And the charmers of the Egyptians also did likewise with their sorceries, and brought up the frogs on the land of Egypt.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn onídán ilẹ̀ Ejibiti ṣe bákan náà pẹ̀lú agbára òkùnkùn wọn. Àwọn náà mú kí ọ̀pọ̀lọ́ gún wá sí orí ilẹ̀ Ejibiti.
8 And Pharao called Moses and Aaron, and said, Pray for me to the Lord, and let him take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will send them away, and they shall sacrifice to the Lord.
Farao ránṣẹ́ pe Mose àti Aaroni, ó sì sọ fún wọn pé, “Gbàdúrà sí Olúwa kí ó mú àwọn ọ̀pọ̀lọ́ wọ̀nyí kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi àti lára àwọn ènìyàn mi, Èmi yóò sì jẹ́ kí àwọn ènìyàn rẹ kí ó lọ láti rú ẹbọ sí Olúwa.”
9 And Moses said to Pharao, Appoint me [a time] when I shall pray for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to cause the frogs to disappear from thee, and from thy people, and from your houses, only in the river shall they be left behind.
Mose sọ fún Farao pé, “Jọ̀wọ́ sọ fún mi ìgbà ti èmi yóò gbàdúrà fún ọ àti àwọn ìjòyè rẹ àti fún àwọn ènìyàn rẹ, kí àwọn ọ̀pọ̀lọ́ wọ̀nyí bá lè lọ lọ́dọ̀ rẹ àti ní àwọn ilé yín tí wọn yóò sì wà nínú odò Naili nìkan.”
10 And he said, On the morrow: he said therefore, As thou has said; that thou mayest know, that there is no other [God] but the Lord.
Farao wí pé, “Ni ọ̀la.” Mose sì dáhùn pé, “Yóò sì rí bí ìwọ ti sọ, kí ìwọ kí ó lè mọ̀ pé kò sí ẹni bí Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa.
11 And the frogs shall be removed away from thee, and from your houses and from the villages, and from thy servants, and from thy people, only in the river they shall be left.
Àwọn ọ̀pọ̀lọ́ yóò fi ìwọ àti àwọn ilé yín àti ìjòyè rẹ, àti àwọn ènìyàn rẹ sílẹ̀, wọn yóò sì wà nínú Naili nìkan.”
12 And Moses and Aaron went forth from Pharao, and Moses cried to the Lord concerning the restriction of the frogs, as Pharao appointed him.
Lẹ́yìn tí Mose àti Aaroni tí kúrò ní iwájú Farao, Mose gbé ohùn ẹ̀bẹ̀ rẹ̀ sókè sí Olúwa nípa àwọn ọ̀pọ̀lọ́ tí ó ti rán sí Farao.
13 And the Lord did as Moses said, and the frogs died out of the houses, and out of the villages, and out of the fields.
Olúwa sì ṣe gẹ́gẹ́ bí Mose tí béèrè. Àwọn ọ̀pọ̀lọ́ sì kú nínú ilé àti ní ìta, gbangba àti nínú oko.
14 And they gathered them together in heaps, and the land stank.
Wọ́n sì kó wọn jọ ni òkìtì òkìtì gbogbo ilẹ̀ sì ń rùn.
15 And when Pharao saw that there was relief, his heart was hardened, and he did not hearken to them, as the Lord spoke.
Ṣùgbọ́n ni ìgbà tí Farao rí pé ìtura dé, ó sé ọkàn rẹ̀ le kò sì fetí sí Mose àti Aaroni gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti wí.
16 And the Lord said to Moses, Say to Aaron, Stretch forth thy rod with thy hand and smite the dust of the earth; and there shall be lice both upon man, and upon quadrupeds, and in all the land of Egypt.
Olúwa sọ fún Mose pé, “Sọ fún Aaroni, ‘Na ọ̀pá rẹ jáde kí ó sì lu eruku ilẹ̀,’ jákèjádò gbogbo ilẹ̀ Ejibiti ni erùpẹ̀ ilẹ̀ yóò ti di kòkòrò-kantíkantí.” (Kòkòrò kan tí ó ní ìyẹ́ méjì tí ó ṣì ń ta ni.)
17 So Aaron stretched out his rod with his hand, and smote the dust of the earth; and the lice were on men and on quadrupeds, and in all the dust of the earth there were lice.
Wọ́n sì ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, nígbà tí Aaroni na ọwọ́ rẹ́ jáde pẹ̀lú ọ̀pá ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀, tí ó sì lu eruku ilẹ̀, kòkòrò-kantíkantí sì wà lára àwọn ènìyàn àti àwọn ẹranko wọn. Gbogbo eruku jákèjádò ilẹ̀ Ejibiti ni ó di kòkòrò-kantíkantí.
18 And the charmers also did so with their sorceries, to bring forth the louse, and they could not. And the lice were both on the men and on the quadrupeds.
19 So the charmers said to Pharao, This is the finger of God. But the heart of Pharao was hardened, and he hearkened not to them, as the Lord said.
àwọn onídán sì sọ fún Farao pé, “Ìka Ọlọ́run ni èyí.” Ṣùgbọ́n àyà Farao sì yigbì, kò sì fetísílẹ̀, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Olúwa ti sọ.
20 And the Lord said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharao: and behold, he will go forth to the water, and thou shalt say to him, These things says the Lord: Send away my people, that they may serve me in the wilderness.
Nígbà náà ni Olúwa sọ fún Mose pé, “Lọ ní òwúrọ̀ kùtùkùtù kí o sì ko Farao lójú bí ó ṣe ń lọ sí odò, kí o sì sọ fún un pé, ‘Èyí ni Olúwa sọ: Jẹ́ kí àwọn ènìyàn mi kí ó lọ, kí wọn kí ó bá à lè sìn Mi.
21 And if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I send upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and upon your houses, the dog-fly; and the houses of the Egyptians shall be filled with the dog-fly, even throughout the land upon which they are.
Bí ìwọ kò bá jẹ́ kí àwọn ènìyàn Mi kí ó lọ, èmi yóò rán ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ eṣinṣin sí ara rẹ àti sí ara àwọn ìjòyè rẹ, àti sí ara àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀, sí àwọn ilẹ̀ rẹ̀. Gbogbo ilé àwọn ará Ejibiti ni yóò kún fún eṣinṣin àti orí ilẹ̀ tí wọ́n wà pẹ̀lú.
22 and I will distinguish marvellously in that day the land of Gesem, on which my people dwell, in which the dog-fly shall not be: that thou mayest know that I am the Lord the God of all the earth.
“‘Ṣùgbọ́n ni ọjọ́ náà, Èmi yóò ya ilẹ̀ Goṣeni sọ́tọ̀, níbi tí àwọn ènìyàn mi ń gbé, ọ̀wọ́ eṣinṣin kankan ki yóò dé ibẹ̀. Kí ìwọ kí ó lè mọ̀ pé, Èmi ni Olúwa, mo wà ni ilẹ̀ yìí.
23 And I will put a difference between my people and thy people, and on the morrow shall this be on the land. And the Lord did thus.
Èmi yóò pààlà sáàárín àwọn ènìyàn mi àti àwọn ènìyàn rẹ. Àwọn iṣẹ́ ìyanu yìí yóò ṣẹlẹ̀ ni ọ̀la.’”
24 And the dog-fly came in abundance into the houses of Pharao, and into the houses of his servants, and into all the land of Egypt; and the land was destroyed by the dog-fly.
Olúwa sì ṣe èyí. Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ eṣinṣin sì ya wọ ààfin Farao àti sí ilé àwọn ìjòyè rẹ̀. Gbogbo ilẹ̀ Ejibiti bàjẹ́ pẹ̀lú ọ̀wọ́ eṣinṣin wọ̀n-ọn-nì.
25 And Pharao called Moses and Aaron, saying, Go and sacrifice to the Lord your God in the land.
Nígbà náà ni Farao ránṣẹ́ pe Mose àti Aaroni, ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ máa lọ kí ẹ sì rú ẹbọ sí Ọlọ́run yín ní ilẹ̀ yìí.”
26 And Moses said, It cannot be so, for we shall sacrifice to the Lord our God the abominations of the Egyptians; for if we sacrifice the abominations of the Egyptians before them, we shall be stoned.
Ṣùgbọ́n Mose sọ pé, “Èyí ló tọ́, ẹbọ tí a ó rú sí Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa yóò jẹ́ ohun ìríra sí àwọn ará ilẹ̀ Ejibiti. Bí a bá ṣe ìrúbọ ti yóò jẹ́ ìríra ni ojú wọn ṣé wọn, ó ní sọ òkúta lù wá?
27 We will go a journey of three days into the wilderness, and we will sacrifice to the Lord our God, as the Lord said to us.
A gbọdọ̀ lọ ni ìrìn ọjọ́ mẹ́ta sí inú aginjù láti rú ẹbọ sí Olúwa Ọlọ́run gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti pàṣẹ fún wa.”
28 And Pharao said, I [will] let you go, and do ye sacrifice to your God in the wilderness, but do not go very far away: pray then for me to the Lord.
Nígbà náà ni Farao wí pé, “Èmi yóò jẹ́ ki ẹ lọ rú ẹbọ sí Olúwa Ọlọ́run yín nínú aginjù, ṣùgbọ́n ẹ kò gbọdọ̀ rìn jìnnà jù. Ẹ gbàdúrà fún mi.”
29 And Moses said, I then will go forth from thee and pray to God, and the dog-fly shall depart both from thy servants, and from thy people to-morrow. Do not thou, Pharao, deceive again, so as not to send the people away to do sacrifice to the Lord.
Mose dáhùn ó wí pé, “Bí èmi bá ti kúrò ní ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ, èmi yóò gbàdúrà sí Olúwa, àwọn ọ̀wọ́ eṣinṣin yóò fi Farao, àwọn ìjòyè rẹ, àti àwọn ènìyàn rẹ sílẹ̀ ní ọ̀la ṣùgbọ́n ǹjẹ́ ìdánilójú wa pé Farao kò tún ni lo ẹ̀tàn láti má jẹ́ kí àwọn ènìyàn kí ó lọ rú ẹbọ sí Olúwa.”
30 And Moses went out from Pharao, and prayed to God.
Nígbà náà ni Mose kúrò ni ọ̀dọ̀ Farao, ó sì gbàdúrà sí Olúwa;
31 And the Lord did as Moses said, and removed the dog-fly from Pharao, and from his servants, and from his people, and there was not one left.
Olúwa sì ṣe gẹ́gẹ́ bí Mose ti béèrè. Àwọn ọ̀wọ́ eṣinṣin kúrò lára Farao àti àwọn ìjòyè rẹ̀ àti lára àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú, eṣinṣin kan kò sì ṣẹ́kù.
32 And Pharao hardened his heart, even on this occasion, and he would not send the people away.
Ṣùgbọ́n ni àkókò yìí náà, Farao sé ọkàn rẹ le, kò sì jẹ́ kí àwọn ènìyàn ó lọ.
