< Esther 6 >
1 But the Lord removed sleep from the king that night: and he told his servant to bring in the books, the registers of daily events, to read to him.
Ní òru ọjọ́ náà ọba kò le è sùn; nítorí náà, ó pàṣẹ kí wọn mú ìwé ìrántí wá, àkọsílẹ̀ ìjọba rẹ̀, wọ́n mú un wá wọ́n sì kà á sí létí.
2 And he found the records written concerning Mardochæus, how he had told the king concerning the two chamberlains of the king, when they were keeping guard, and sought to lay hands on Artaxerxes.
Wọ́n rí àkọsílẹ̀ níbẹ̀ pé Mordekai tí sọ àṣírí Bigitana àti Tereṣi, àwọn ìjòyè ọba méjì tí wọ́n ń ṣọ́ ẹnu-ọ̀nà, tí wọ́n ń gbèrò láti pa ọba Ahaswerusi.
3 And the king said, What honour or favour have we done to Mardochæus? And the king’s servants said, Thou hast not done anything to him.
Ọba béèrè pé, “Kí ni ọlá àti iyì tí Mordekai ti gbà fún èyí?” Àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ sì dáhùn pé, “Kò tí ì sí ohun tí a ṣe fún un.”
4 And while the king was enquiring about the kindness of Mardochæus, behold, Aman [was] in the court. And the king said, Who [is] in the court? Now Aman was come in to speak to the king, that he should hang Mardochæus on the gallows, which he had prepared.
Ọba wí pé, “Ta ni ó wà nínú àgbàlá?” Nísinsin yìí, Hamani ṣẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọ àgbàlá ìta ààfin ni láti sọ fún ọba nípa síso Mordekai lórí igi tí ó ti rì fún un.
5 And the king’s servants said, Behold, Aman stands in the court. And the king said, Call him.
Àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ sì dáhùn pé, “Hamani ni ó wà níbẹ̀ ó dúró sí inú àgbàlá.” Ọba pàṣẹ pé, “Ẹ mú un wọlé wá.”
6 And the king said to Aman, What shall I do to the man whom I wish to honour? And Aman said within himself, Whom would the king honour but myself?
Nígbà tí Hamani wọlé, ọba béèrè lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀ pé, “Kí ni kí a ṣe fún ọkùnrin tí inú ọba dùn sí láti bu ọlá fún?” Nísinsin yìí Hamani sì ro èyí fúnra rẹ̀ pé, “Ta ni ó wà níbẹ̀ tí ọba fẹ́ dá lọ́lá ju èmi lọ?”
7 and he said to the king, As for the man whom the king wishes to honour,
Nítorí náà Hamani dá ọba lóhùn pé, “Fún ọkùnrin tí inú ọba dùn sí láti dá lọ́lá,
8 let the king’s servants bring the robe of fine linen which the king puts on, and the horse on which the king rides,

9 and let him give [it] to one of the king’s noble friends, and let him array the man whom the king loves; and let him mount him on the horse, and proclaim through the street of the city, saying, Thus shall it be [done] to every man whom the king honours.
Jẹ́ kí a fi aṣọ àti ẹṣin lé ọ̀kan lára àwọn ìjòyè ọba tí ó ga jùlọ lọ́wọ́, kí wọn wọ aṣọ náà fún ọkùnrin tí inú ọba dùn sí láti dá lọ́lá, kí wọn sì sìn ín gun ẹṣin jákèjádò gbogbo ìgboro ìlú, kí wọn máa kéde níwájú rẹ̀ pé, ‘Èyí ni a ṣe fún ọkùnrin náà ẹni tí inú ọba dùn sí láti dá lọ́lá!’”
10 Then the king said to Aman, Thou hast well said: so do to Mardochæus the Jew, who waits in the palace, and let not a word of what thou hast spoken be neglected.
Ọba pàṣẹ fún Hamani pé, “Lọ lẹ́sẹ̀kan náà. Mú aṣọ náà àti ẹṣin kí o sì ṣe gẹ́gẹ́ bí o ṣe sọ fún Mordekai ará a Júù, ẹni tí ó jókòó sí ẹnu-ọ̀nà ọba. Má ṣe fi ohunkóhun sílẹ̀ nínú ohun tí o ti yàn.”
11 So Aman took the robe and the horse, and arrayed Mardochæus, and mounted him on the horse, and went through the street of the city, and proclaimed, saying, Thus shall it be to every man whom the king wishes to honour.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Hamani ṣe mú aṣọ àti ẹṣin náà. Ó fi wọ Mordekai, Mordekai sì wà lórí ẹṣin jákèjádò gbogbo ìgboro ìlú, ó sì ń kéde níwájú rẹ̀ pé, “Èyí ni a ó ṣe fún ọkùnrin náà ẹni tí inú ọba dùn sí láti dá lọ́lá!”
12 And Mardochæus returned to the palace: but Aman went home mourning, and having his head covered.
Lẹ́yìn nǹkan wọ̀nyí Mordekai padà sí ẹnu-ọ̀nà ọba. Ṣùgbọ́n Hamani sáré lọ ilé, ó sì bo orí rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ìbànújẹ́,
13 And Aman related the events that had befallen him to Zosara his wife, and to [his] friends: and his friends and his wife said to him, If Mardochæus [be] of the race of the Jews, [and] thou hast begun to be humbled before him, thou wilt assuredly fall, and thou wilt not be able to withstand him, for the living God [is] with him.
Hamani sì sọ ohun gbogbo tí ó ṣẹlẹ̀ sí i fún Sereṣi ìyàwó rẹ̀ àti àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ rẹ̀. Àwọn olùbádámọ̀ràn rẹ̀ àti ìyàwó o rẹ̀ sọ fún un pé, “Níwọ́n ìgbà tí Mordekai ti jẹ́ ẹ̀yà Júù, níwájú ẹni tí ìṣubú rẹ̀ ti bẹ̀rẹ̀, ìwọ kò lè rí ẹ̀yìn in rẹ̀—dájúdájú ìwọ yóò parun!”
14 While they were yet speaking, the chamberlains arrived, to hasten Aman to the banquet which Esther had prepared.
