Deuteronomy 33
1 And this [is] the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
ঈশ্বরের লোক মোশি মৃত্যুর আগে ইস্রায়েলীদের এই বলে আশীর্বাদ করেছিলেন:
2 And he said, The Lord is come from Sina, and has appeared from Seir to us, and has hasted out of the mount of Pharan, with the ten thousands of Cades; on his right hand [were] his angels with him.
তিনি বলেছিলেন: “সদাপ্রভু সীনয় থেকে আসলেন তিনি সেয়ীর থেকে তাদের উপর আলো দিলেন; পারণ পাহাড় থেকে নিজের উজ্জ্বলতা প্রকাশ করলেন। অসংখ্য পবিত্রজনেদের কাছ থেকে আসলেন দক্ষিণ থেকে, তাঁর পাহাড়ের ঢাল থেকে।
3 And he spared his people, and all his sanctified ones [are] under thy hands; and they are under thee; and he received of his words
সত্যিই তুমিই যে লোকদের ভালোবাসো; সকল পবিত্রজন তোমার হাতে। তোমার পায়ের নিচে তারা নত হয়, এবং তোমার কাছ থেকে নির্দেশ নেয়,
4 the law which Moses charged us, an inheritance to the assemblies of Jacob.
মোশি আমাদের যে বিধান দিয়েছিলেন, সেটি হল যাকোব গোষ্ঠীর ধন।
5 And he shall be prince with the beloved one, when the princes of the people are gathered together with the tribes of Israel.
লোকদের নেতারা যখন একত্র হল, ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত বংশের সাথে, তখন তিনি ছিলেন যিশুরূণের রাজা।
6 Let Ruben live, and not die; and let him be many in number.
“রূবেণ যেন বেঁচে থাকে ও না মরে, তার লোকসংখ্যা যেন কম না হয়।”
7 And this [is the blessing] of Juda; Hear, Lord, the voice of Juda, and do thou visit his people: his hands shall contend for him, and thou shalt be a help from his enemies.
এবং তিনি যিহূদার বিষয়ে এই কথা বলেছিলেন: “হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি যিহূদার কান্না শোনো; তার লোকদের কাছে তাকে আনো। সে নিজের হাতে তার উদ্দেশ্য রক্ষা করে। শত্রুর বিরুদ্ধে তুমি তার সাহায্যকারী হও!”
8 And to Levi he said, Give to Levi his manifestations, and his truth to the holy man, whom they tempted in the temptation; they reviled him at the water of strife.
লেবির বিষয়ে তিনি বলেছিলেন: “তোমার তুম্মীম ও ঊরীম আছে তোমার বিশ্বস্ত দাসের কাছে। মঃসাতে তুমি তার পরীক্ষা করেছিলে; মরীবার জলের কাছে তুমি তার সঙ্গে ঝগড়া করেছিলে।
9 Who says to his father and mother, I have not seen thee; and he knew not his brethren, and he refused to know his sons: he kept thine oracles, and observed thy covenant.
সে তার বাবা-মায়ের সম্বন্ধে বলেছিল, ‘তাদের প্রতি আমার কোনও সম্মান নেই।’ সে তার ভাইদের চিনতে পারেনি বা সে তার নিজের সন্তানদের স্বীকার করেনি, কিন্তু সে তোমার বাক্য পাহারা দিয়েছিল এবং তোমার নিয়ম রক্ষা করেছে।
10 They shall declare thine ordinances to Jacob, and thy law to Israel: they shall place incense in [the time of] thy wrath continually upon thine altar.
তোমার আদেশ সে যাকোবকে এবং তোমার বিধান ইস্রায়েলকে শিক্ষা দেয়। সে তোমার সামনে ধূপ জ্বালায় এবং তোমার বেদির উপরে পূর্ণাহুতি রাখে।
11 Bless, Lord, his strength, and accept the works of his hands; break the loins of his enemies that have risen up against him, and let not them that hate him rise up.
সদাপ্রভু, তার সকল দক্ষতাতে আশীর্বাদ করো, এবং তার হাতের কাজে খুশি হও। যারা তার বিরুদ্ধে যাবে তাদের আঘাত করো, যেন তার শত্রুরা আর উঠতে না পারে।”
12 And to Benjamin he said, The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in confidence, and God overshadows him always, and he rested between his shoulders.
বিন্যামীনের বিষয়ে তিনি বলেছিলেন: “সদাপ্রভু যাকে ভালোবাসেন সে নিরাপদে তাঁর কাছে থাকবে, তিনি সবসময় তাকে আড়ালে রাখেন, এবং সদাপ্রভু যাকে ভালোবাসেন তাঁরই কাঁধের উপরে তার স্থান।”
13 And to Joseph he said, His land [is] of the blessing of the Lord, of the seasons of sky and dew, and of the deeps of wells below,
যোষেফের বিষয়ে তিনি বলেছিলেন, “সদাপ্রভু যেন তার দেশ আশীর্বাদ করেন আকাশের মহামূল্য শিশির দিয়ে এবং মাটির নিচের জল দিয়ে;
14 and of the fruits of the changes of the sun in season, and of the produce of the months,
সূর্যের সেরা দান দিয়ে এবং চাঁদের সেরা ফসল দিয়ে;
15 from the top of the ancient mountains, and from the top of the everlasting hills,
পুরোনো পাহাড়ের সম্পদ দিয়ে এবং চিরকালীন পাহাড়ের উর্বরতা দিয়ে;
16 and of the fullness of the land in season: and let the things pleasing to him that dwelt in the bush come on the head of Joseph, and on the crown [of him who was] glorified above his brethren.
পৃথিবীর ভালো ভালো জিনিস দিয়ে আর জ্বলন্ত ঝোপে যিনি ছিলেন তাঁর দয়া দিয়ে। যোষেফের মাথায় এসব আশীর্বাদ ঝরে পড়ুক, ভাইদের মধ্যে যে রাজকুমার তার মাথার তালুতে পড়ুক।
17 His beauty [is as] the firstling of his bull, his horns [are] the horns of a unicorn; with them he shall thrust the nations at once, even from the end of the earth: these [are] the ten thousands of Ephraim, and these [are] the thousands of Manasse.
তার মহিমা প্রথমজাত ষাঁড়ের মতো; তার শিং বন্য ষাঁড়ের শিং। তা দিয়ে সে জাতিদের গুঁতাবে, এমনকি পৃথিবীর শেষ প্রান্ত পর্যন্ত। এরকমই হবে ইফ্রয়িমের লক্ষ লক্ষ লোক; এরকমই হবে মনঃশির হাজার হাজার লোক।”
18 And to Zabulon he said, Rejoice, Zabulon, in thy going out, and Issachar in his tents.
সবূলূনের বিষয়ে তিনি বলেছিলেন: “সবূলূন, তোমার নিজের বাইরে যাওয়াতে আনন্দ করো, আর তুমি, ইষাখর, নিজের তাঁবুতে আনন্দ করো।
19 They shall utterly destroy the nations, and ye shall call [men] there, and there offer the sacrifice of righteousness; for the wealth of the sea shall suckle thee, and so shall the marts of them that dwell by the sea-coast.
তারা লোকদের পাহাড়ে ডাকবে আর সেখানে ধার্মিকতার বলি উৎসর্গ করবে; সমুদ্র থেকে তারা প্রচুর ধন তুলবে, আর বালি থেকে তুলে আনবে বালির তলার ধন।”
20 And to Gad he said, Blessed [be] he that enlarges Gad: as a lion he rested, having broken the arm and the ruler.
গাদের বিষয়ে তিনি বলেছিলেন: “ধন্য তিনি, যিনি গাদের রাজ্যের সীমানা বাড়াবেন! গাদ সেখানে সিংহের মতো বসবাস করে, সে হাত ও মাথা ছিঁড়বে।
21 And he saw his first-fruits, that there the land of the princes gathered with the chiefs of the people was divided; the Lord wrought righteousness, and his judgment with Israel.
সে নিজের জন্য সব থেকে ভালো স্থান নিয়েছে; নেতার অংশ তার জন্য রাখা আছে। লোকদের প্রধানেরা যখন একত্র হয়, সে সদাপ্রভুর ধার্মিকতার ইচ্ছা পালন করেছে, এবং ইস্রায়েল সম্বন্ধে তার বিচার পালন করেছে।”
22 And to Dan he said, Dan [is] a lion's whelp, and shall leap out of Basan.
দানের বিষয়ে তিনি বলেছিলেন: “দান সিংহশাবক, সে যেন বাশন থেকে লাফিয়ে আসে।
23 And to Nephthali he said, Nephthali [has] the fulness of good things; and let him be filled with blessing from the Lord: he shall inherit the west and the south.
“নপ্তালির বিষয়ে তিনি বলেছিলেন: “নপ্তালি সদাপ্রভুর করুণায় তৃপ্ত আর তাঁর আশীর্বাদে পরিপূর্ণ; সে সমুদ্র ও দক্ষিণ অধিকার করবে।”
24 And to Aser he said, Aser [is] blessed with children; and he shall be acceptable to his brethren: he shall dip his foot in oil.
আশেরের বিষয়ে তিনি বলেছিলেন: আশের অন্যদের চেয়ে বেশি আশীর্বাদ পাবে; সে যেন ভাইদের কাছে প্রিয় হয়, তার পা-দুটি যেন তেলের মধ্যে ডুবে থাকে।
25 His sandal shall be iron and brass; as thy days, so [shall be] thy strength.
তোমার দ্বারের হুড়কাগুলি লোহা ও ব্রোঞ্জের হবে, এবং তোমার যেমন দিন তেমন শক্তি হবে।
26 There is not [any such] as the God of the beloved; he who rides upon the heaven [is] thy helper, and the magnificent One of the firmament.
“যিশুরূণের ঈশ্বরের মতো আর কেউ নেই, যিনি তোমাকে সাহায্য করার জন্য আকাশপথে চলেন, ও নিজের মহিমায় মেঘরথে চড়েন।
27 And the rule of God shall protect thee, and [that] under the strength of the everlasting arms; and he shall cast forth the enemy from before thy face, saying, Perish.
যিনি আদিকালের ঈশ্বর তিনিই তোমার আশ্রয়, এবং তার নিচে তাঁর অনন্তস্থায়ী হাত। তিনি তোমাদের সামনে তোমাদের শত্রুদের তাড়িয়ে দেবেন, আর বলবেন, ‘এদের ধ্বংস করো!’
28 And Israel shall dwell in confidence alone on the land of Jacob, with corn and wine; and the sky [shall be] misty with dew upon thee.
তাই ইস্রায়েল নিরাপদে থাকবে; যাকোব বিপদ সীমার বাইরে বসবাস করবে শস্যের ও নতুন দ্রাক্ষারসের দেশে যেখানে আকাশ থেকে শিশির পড়বে।
29 Blessed [art] thou, O Israel; who [is] like to thee, O people saved by the Lord? thy helper shall hold his shield over thee, and [his] sword [is] thy boast; and thine enemies shall speak falsely to thee, and thou shalt tread upon their neck.
হে ইস্রায়েল, তুমি ধন্য! তোমার মতো কে, যে জাতিকে সদাপ্রভু রক্ষা করেছেন? তিনি তোমার ঢাল ও সাহায্যকারী এবং তোমার গৌরবজনক তরোয়াল। তোমার শত্রুরা তোমার সামনে ভয়ে জড়সড় হয়ে থাকবে, আর তুমি তাদের উচ্চস্থলী পদদলিত করবে।”
