Deuteronomy 30

1 And it shall come to pass when all these things shall have come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thy face, and thou shalt call [them] to mind among all the nations, wherein the Lord shall have scattered thee,

E será que, quando te sobrevierem todas estas coisas, a bênção e a maldição que pus diante de ti, e te conscientizares em teu coração em meio de todas as nações às quais o SENHOR teu Deus te houver expulsado,

2 and shalt return to the Lord thy God, and shalt hearken to his voice, according to all things which I charge thee this day, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul;

E te converteres ao SENHOR teu Deus, e obedeceres à sua voz conforme tudo o que eu te mando hoje, tu e teus filhos, com todo teu coração e com toda tua alma,

3 then the Lord shall heal thine iniquities, and shall pity thee, and shall again gather thee out from all the nations, among which the Lord has scattered thee.

O SENHOR te restaurará de teu infortúnio, terá misericórdia de ti, e voltará a recolher-te de todos os povos aos quais o SENHOR, teu Deus, te houver disperso.

4 If thy dispersion be from one end of heaven to the other, thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and thence will the Lord thy God take thee.

Se houveres sido lançado até a extremidade dos céus, dali te recolherá o SENHOR teu Deus, e dali te tomará:

5 And the Lord thy God shall bring thee in from thence into the land which thy fathers have inherited, and thou shalt inherit it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

E te fará voltar o SENHOR teu Deus à terra que herdaram teus pais, e a possuirás; e te fará bem, e te multiplicará mais que a teus pais.

6 And the Lord shall purge thy heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

E circuncidará o SENHOR teu Deus teu coração, e o coração de tua descendência, para que ames ao SENHOR teu Deus com todo teu coração e com toda tua alma, a fim de que tu vivas.

7 And the Lord thy God will put these curses upon thine enemies, and upon those that hate thee, who have persecuted thee.

E porá o SENHOR teu Deus todas estas maldições sobre teus inimigos, e sobre teus aborrecedores que te perseguiram.

8 And thou shalt return and hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and shall keep his commands, all that I charge thee this day.

E tu voltarás, e ouvirás a voz do SENHOR, e porás por obra todos os seus mandamentos, que eu te intimo hoje.

9 And the Lord thy God shall bless thee in every work of thine hands, in the offspring of thy body, and in the offspring of thy cattle, and in the fruits of thy land, because the Lord thy God will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

E te fará o SENHOR teu Deus abundar em toda obra de tuas mãos, no fruto de teu ventre, no fruto de teu animal, e no fruto de tua terra, para o bem: porque o SENHOR voltará a se alegrar sobre ti para o bem, da maneira que se alegrou sobre teus pais;

10 if thou wilt hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments, and his ordinances, and his judgments written in the book of this law, if thou turn to the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

Quando ouvires a voz do SENHOR teu Deus, para guardar seus mandamentos e seus estatutos escritos neste livro da lei; quando te converteres ao SENHOR teu Deus com todo teu coração e com toda tua alma.

11 For this command which I give thee this day is not grievous, neither is it far from thee.

Porque este mandamento que eu te intimo hoje, não te é encoberto, nem está longe:

12 It is not in heaven above, [as if there were one] saying, Who shall go up for us into heaven, and shall take it for us, and we will hear and do it?

Não está no céu, para que digas: Quem subirá por nós ao céu, e nos o trará e o apresentará para nós, para que o cumpramos?

13 Neither is it beyond the sea, saying, Who will go over for us to the other side of the sea, and take it for us, and make it audible to us, and we will do it?

Nem está da outra parte do mar, para que digas: Quem passará por nós o mar, para que o traga até nós e a nós o apresente, a fim de que o cumpramos?

14 The word is very near thee, in thy mouth, and in thine heart, and in thine hands to do it.

Porque muito próxima de ti está a palavra, em tua boca e em teu coração, para que a cumpras.

15 Behold, I have set before thee this day life and death, good and evil.

Olha, eu pus diante de ti hoje a vida e o bem, a morte e o mal:

16 If thou wilt hearken to the commands of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to love the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his ordinances, and his judgments; then ye shall live, and shall be many in number, and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all the land into which thou goest to inherit it.

Porque eu te mando hoje que ames ao SENHOR teu Deus, que andes em seus caminhos, e guardes seus mandamentos e seus estatutos e seus regulamentos, para que vivas e sejas multiplicado, e o SENHOR teu Deus te abençoe na terra à qual entras para possuí-la.

17 But if thy heart change, and thou wilt not hearken, and thou shalt go astray and worship other gods, and serve them,

Mas se teu coração se desviar, e não ouvires, e fores incitado, e te inclinares a deuses alheios, e os servires;

18 I declare to you this day, that ye shall utterly perish, and ye shall by no means live long upon the land, into which ye go over Jordan to inherit it.

Declaro-vos hoje que certamente perecereis: não tereis longos dias sobre a terra, para ir à qual passas o Jordão para possuí-la.

19 I call both heaven and earth to witness this day against you, I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse: choose thou life, that thou and thy seed may live;

Aos céus e a terra chamo por testemunhas hoje contra vós, que pus diante de vós a vida e a morte, a bênção e a maldição: escolhe, pois, a vida, para que vivas tu e tua descendência:

20 to love the Lord thy God, to hearken to his voice, and cleave to him; for this [is] thy life, and the length of thy days, that thou shouldest dwell upon the land, which the Lord sware to thy fathers, Abraam, and Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them.

Que ames ao SENHOR teu Deus, que ouças sua voz, e te achegues a ele; porque ele é tua vida, e o comprimento de teus dias; a fim de que habites sobre a terra que jurou o SENHOR a teus pais Abraão, Isaque, e Jacó, que lhes havia de dar.
