Deuteronomy 23

1 He that is fractured or mutilated in his private parts shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.

Dili makasulod sa panagtigom ni Yahweh ang tawong nasamaran pinaagi sa pagdugmok o pagputol.

2 [One born] of a harlot shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord.

Walay anak sa gawas ang makaapil sa panagtigom ni Yahweh; hangtod sa ikanapulo sa iyang kaliwatan, dili sila makasulod sa panagtigom ni Yahweh.

3 The Ammanite and Moabite shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord, even until the tenth generation he shall not enter into the assembly of the Lord, even for ever:

Ang usa ka Amonihanon o ang Moabihanon dili makaapil sa panagtigom ni Yahweh; bisan hangtod sa ikanapulo nga kaliwatan sa iyang mga kaliwat, dili sila makasulod sa panagtigom ni Yahweh.

4 because they met you not with bread and water by the way, when ye went out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Mesopotamia to curse thee.

Tungod kay wala sila mosugat kanimo uban sa tinapay ug sa tubig diha sa dalan sa paggawas nimo sa Ehipto, ug tungod kay nagsuhol hinuon sila kang Balaam sa pagbatok kanimo, nga anak nga lalaki ni Beor nga taga-Petor sa Aram Naharaim, aron sa pagtunglo kanimo.

5 But the Lord thy God would not hearken to Balaam; and the Lord thy God changed the curses into blessings, because the Lord thy God loved thee.

Apan si Yahweh nga imong Dios dili gayod magpatalinghog kang Balaam; kondili, gihimo ni Yahweh nga imong Dios ang tunglo ngadto sa panalangin alang kanimo, tungod kay nahigugma kanimo si Yahweh nga imong Dios.

6 Thou shalt not speak peaceably or profitably to them all thy days for ever.

Ayaw gayod tinguhaa ang ilang kalinaw o ang kauswagan sa tanan mong mga adlaw.

7 Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite, because he is thy brother; thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian, because thou wast a stranger in his land.

Ayaw dumti ang Edumihanon, kay igsoon mo siya; ayaw kasilagi ang Ehiptohanon, tungod kay langyaw ka lamang sa iyang yuta.

8 If sons be born to them, in the third generation they shall enter into the assembly of the Lord.

Ang kaliwatan sa ikatulo nga kaliwat nga mangatawo kanila makasulod sa panagtigom ni Yahweh.

9 And if thou shouldest go forth to engage with thine enemies, then thou shalt keep thee from every wicked thing.

Sa dihang magmartsa ka ingon nga sundalo batok sa imong mga kaaway, nan ilikay mo ang imong kaugalingon gikan sa tanang daotan nga mga butang.

10 If there should be in thee a man who is not clean by reason of his issue by night, then he shall go forth out of the camp, and he shall not enter into the camp.

Kung adunay bisan kinsa kaninyo nga dili hinlo tungod sa nahitabo kaniya sa gabii, kinahanglan mopahawa siya sa kampo sa kasundalohan; dili na gayod siya makasulod sa kampo.

11 And it shall come to pass toward evening he shall wash his body with water, and when the sun has gone down, he shall go into the camp.

Sa pag-abot sa kagabhion, kinahanglan maligo siya; sa dihang mosalop na ang adlaw, makasulod na siya sa kampo.

12 And thou shalt have a place outside of the camp, and thou shalt go out thither,

Kinahanglan aduna ka usab usa ka dapit sa gawas sa kampo nga imong kaadtoan;

13 and thou shalt have a trowel on thy girdle; and it shall come to pass when thou wouldest relieve thyself abroad, that thou shalt dig with it, and shalt bring back the earth and cover thy nuisance.

ug pagbaton ug usa ka butang nga pangkalot diha sa imong mga butang; sa paglingkod nimo aron sa paghupay sa imong kaugalingon, kinahanglan mokalot ka gamit niini ug ibutang dayon ang yuta ug taboni ang migawas kanimo.

14 Because the Lord thy God walks in thy camp to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemy before thy face; and thy camp shall be holy, and there shall not appear in thee a disgraceful thing, and [so] he shall turn away from thee.

Kay si Yahweh nga imong Dios magalakaw taliwala sa imong kampo aron sa paghatag kanimo ug kadaogan ug pagtugyan sa imong mga kaaway diha kanimo. Busa kinahanglan nga balaan ang imong kampo, aron wala siyay makita nga bisan unsang mahugaw nga butang diha kanimo ug mobiya kanimo.

15 Thou shalt not deliver a servant to his master, who [coming] from his master attaches himself to thee.

Dili mo gayod iuli sa iyang agalon ang usa ka ulipon nga milayas na gikan sa iyang agalon.

16 He shall dwell with thee, he shall dwell among you where he shall please; thou shalt not afflict him.

Pasagdi siya nga magpuyo uban kanimo, sa bisan asang lungsod nga iyang pilion. Ayaw siya daogdaoga.

17 There shall not be a harlot of the daughters of Israel, and there shall not be a fornicator of the sons of Israel; there shall not be an idolatress of the daughters of Israel, and there shall not be an initiated person of the sons of Israel.

Kinahanglan nga walay mamaligya ug dungog taliwala sa bisan kinsang anak nga babaye sa Israel, ni kinahanglan nga walay mamaligya ug dungog sa mga anak nga mga lalaki sa Israel.

18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a harlot, nor the price of a dog into the house of the Lord thy God, for any vow; because even both are an abomination to the Lord thy God.

Dili ka gayod magdala sa suhol sa mamaligya ug dungog o ang suhol sa iro ngadto sa pinuy-anan ni Yahweh nga imong Dios alang sa bisan unsang panaad; kay managsama kining dulumtanan alang kang Yahweh nga imong Dios.

19 Thou shalt not lend to thy brother on usury of silver, or usury of meat, or usury of any thing which thou mayest lend out.

Kinahanglan dili ka magpautang nga may tubo sa imong isigka-Israelita—tubo sa salapi, tubo sa makaon, o tubo sa bisan unsang butang nga gipautang nga gipatuboan.

20 Thou mayest lend on usury to a stranger, but to thy brother thou shalt not lend on usury; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all thy works upon the land, into which thou art entering to inherit it.

Makapautang ka nga may tubo sa mga langyaw; apan sa imong isigka-Israelita dili ka makapautang nga may tubo, aron panalanginan ni Yahweh nga imong Dios ang tanang buhaton sa imong kamot, didto sa yuta nga imong adtoan aron mapanag-iya.

21 And if thou wilt vow a vow to the Lord thy God, thou shalt not delay to pay it; for the Lord thy God will surely require it of thee, and [otherwise] it shall be sin in thee.

Sa pagbuhat nimo ug panaad kang Yahweh nga imong Dios, kinahanglan dili ka maglangan sa pagtuman niini, kay paninglan ka gayod niini ni Yahweh nga imong Dios; mahimo kining imong sala.

22 But if thou shouldest be unwilling to vow, it is not sin in thee.

Apan kung maglikay ka sa pagbuhat ug panaad, dili kini mahimong sala alang kanimo.

23 Thou shalt observe the words that proceed from between thy lips; and as thou hast vowed a gift to the Lord God, [so] shalt thou do that which thou hast spoken with thy mouth.

Ang gipamulong sa imong mga ngabil kinahanglan matngonan ug buhaton mo; sumala sa imong gipanaad kang Yahweh nga imong Dios, ang bisan unsang gisaad pinaagi sa imong baba.

24 And if thou shouldest go into the corn field of thy neighbour, then thou mayest gather the ears with thy hands; but thou shalt not put the sickle to thy neighbour's corn.

Kung moadto ka sa kaparasan sa imong isigka-tawo makakaon ka sa daghang mga ubas hangtod matagbaw ka, apan dili ka magbutang ug bisan unsa sa imong panudlanan.

25 And if thou shouldest go into the vineyard of thy neighbour, thou shalt eat grapes sufficient to satisfy thy desire; but thou mayest not put them into a vessel.

Kung moadto ka sa anihonon sa imong isigka-tawo, makakutlo ka sa uhay gamit ang imong kamot, apan ayaw garaba ang anihonon sa imong isigka-tawo.
