Amos 8
1 And behold a fowler's basket.
Daytoy ti impakita ni Yahweh nga Apo kaniak. Pagammoan, adda sangabasket a naluom a prutas!
2 And he said, What seest thou, Amos? And I said, A fowler's basket. And the Lord said to me, The end is come upon my people Israel; I will not pass by them any more.
Kinunana, “Ania ti makitkitam Amos?” Kinunak, “Sangabasket a naluom a prutas.” Ket kinuna ni Yahweh kaniak, “Dimtengen ti panungpalan para kadagiti tattaok nga Israel; saanko idan nga ispalen.
3 And the ceilings of the temple shall howl in that day, saith the Lord God: [there shall be] many a fallen one in every place; I will bring silence upon [them].
Agbalinto a dung-aw dagiti kanta iti templo. Iti dayta nga aldaw”—daytoy ti imbaga ni Yahweh nga Apo— “Adunto dagiti bangkay, ipuruakdanto ida iti tunggal disso a siuulimek!”
4 Hear now this, ye that oppress the poor in the morning, and drive the needy ones by tyranny from the earth,
Denggenyo daytoy, dakayo a mangibadbaddek kadagiti agkasapulan ken mangpappapanaw kadagiti napanglaw iti daga.
5 saying, When will the month pass away, and we shall sell, and the sabbath, and we shall open the treasure, to make the measure small, and to enlarge the weight, and make the balance unfair?
Kunada, “Kaano a malpas ti luttuad tapno makalakokami manen iti bukbukel? Ken kaano a malpas ti Aldaw ti Panaginana tapno makalakokami iti trigo? Kissayanmi ti timbangna ket ilakomi iti nangina, a kas iti panangsaormi babaen kadagiti nakusit a pagtimbangan,
6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for shoes; and we will trade in every kind of fruit.
tapno mailakomi ti awan serserbina a trigo ket magatangmi ti marigrigat babaen iti pirak, ken magatangmi ti agkasapulan babaen iti sangapares a sandalias.”
7 The Lord swears against the pride of Jacob, None of your works shall ever be forgotten.
Nagsapata ni Yahweh babaen iti kinamanagpannakkel ni Jacob, “Awan duadua a saankonto a malipatan ti aniaman kadagiti aramidda.”
8 And shall not the land be troubled for these things, and shall not every one who dwells in it mourn? whereas destruction shall come up as a river, and shall descend as the river of Egypt.
Saan kadi nga aggingginedto ti daga gapu iti daytoy, ken agladingitto ti amin nga agnanaed iti daytoy? Ngumatonto amin daytoy a kas iti Karayan ti Nilo, agkintayeg ket lumnedto manen a kas iti karayan ti Egipto.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, [that] the sun shall go down at noon, and the light shall be darkened on the earth by day:
“Mapasamakto daytoy iti dayta nga aldaw”—daytoy ti imbaga ni Yahweh nga Apo—”a palinnekekto ti init iti tengnga ti aldaw ken pagbalinekto a nasipnget ti daga iti aldaw.
10 and I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth on all loins, and baldness on every head; and I will make them as the mourning of a beloved [friend], and those with them as a day of grief.
Pagbalinekto a panagdudung-aw dagiti piestayo ken sangsangit ti amin a kantayo. Pagkawesenkayonto amin iti nakersang a lupot ken makalbonto amin ti tunggal ulo. Pagbalinekto dayta nga aldaw a kas iti panangdung-aw para iti kakaisuna nga anak a lalaki ken maysa a nasaem nga aldaw agingga iti kamaudianan.
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will send forth a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the word of the Lord.
Kitaem, umadanin dagiti aldaw”—daytoy ti imbaga ni Yahweh nga Apo—”inton iyegko ti panagbisin iti daga, saan a panagbisin iti tinapay, wenno pannakawaw iti danum, ngem pannakawaw iti panagdengngeg kadagiti sasao ni Yahweh.
12 And the waters shall be troubled from sea to sea, and from the north to the east shall [men] run hither and thither, seeking the word of the Lord, and they shall not find [it].
Agalla-alladanto manipud iti maysa a baybay a mapan iti sabali a baybay; agtaraydanto manipud iti amianan agingga iti daya a mangsapul ti sao ni Yahweh, ngem saandanto a masarakan daytoy.
13 In that day shall the fair virgins and the young men faint for thirst;
Iti dayta nga aldaw, matalimudawto dagiti napipintas a birhen ken dagiti babbaro gapu iti pannakawaw.
14 they who swear by the propitiation of Samaria, and who say, Thy god, O Dan, lives; and, Thy god, O Bersabee, lives; and they shall fall, and shall no more rise again.
Dagiti agsapsapata iti basol ti Samaria a kunada, 'Iti nagan ti dios ti Dan' ken, 'Iti nagan ti dios ti Beerseba'—matuangdanto ket pulos a saandanto a makabangonen.”
