< Chronicles II 3 >
1 And Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem in the mount of Amoria, where the Lord appeared to his father David, in the place which David had prepared in the threshing-floor of Orna the Jebusite.
Awo Sulemaani n’atandika okuzimba yeekaalu ya Mukama mu Yerusaalemi ku lusozi Moliya, Mukama gye yalabikira Dawudi kitaawe, ekifo Dawudi kye yali alonze ku gguuliro lya Olunaani Omuyebusi.
2 And he began to build in the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
Yatandika okugizimba mu mwezi ogwokubiri mu mwaka ogwokuna ogw’obufuzi bwe.
3 And thus Solomon began to build the house of God: the length in cubits—even the first measurement from end to end, was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
Omusingi Sulemaani gwe yasima ogwa yeekaalu ya Katonda gwali obuwanvu mita amakumi abiri mu musanvu ng’obugazi mita mwenda, mu kukozesa ebipimo okw’edda.
4 And the portico in front of the house, its length in front of the breadth of the house [was] twenty cubits, and its height a hundred and twenty cubits: and he gilded it within with pure gold.
Ekisasi ekyali mu maaso ga yeekaalu kyali obuwanvu mita mwenda n’obugazi nga kye kimu, n’obugulumivu kyali mita mwenda. Munda mu yeekaalu n’asiigamu ne zaabu ennongoofu.
5 And he lined the great house with cedar wood, and gilded it with pure gold, and carved upon it palm-trees and chains.
Mu kisenge ekinene n’assaamu embaawo ez’emiberosi, ne munda waakyo n’akisiiga ne zaabu ennongoofu, ate era n’akitimba n’enkindu n’emikuufu.
6 And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty; and he gilded it with gold of the gold from Pharuim.
N’ayonja yeekaalu n’amayinja ag’omuwendo, ne zaabu gwe yakozesa yali zaabu owa Paluvayimu.
7 And he gilded the house, and its [inner] walls, and the door-posts, and the roofs, and the doors with gold; and he carved cherubs on the walls.
Ku myango, ne ku miryango, ne ku bisenge ne ku nzigi za yeekaalu, byonna n’abisiigako zaabu; ate era n’awoola ne bakerubi ku bisenge.
8 And he built the holy of holies, its length was according to the front [of the other house], the breadth of the house [was] twenty cubits, and the length twenty cubits: and he gilded [it] with pure gold for cherubs, to [the amount of] six hundred talents.
N’azimba n’Ekifo Ekitukuvu Ennyo, ng’obuwanvu kyenkanankana obugazi bwa yeekaalu, obuwanvu kyali mita mwenda n’obugazi mita mwenda. Munda waakyo n’asiigamu ttani amakumi abiri mu ssatu eza zaabu ennongoofu.
9 And the weight of the nails, [even] the weight of each was fifty shekels of gold: and he gilded the upper chamber with gold.
Obuzito bw’emisumaali bwali desimoolo mukaaga era nga gya zaabu.
10 And he made two cherubs in the most holy house, wood-work, and he gilded them with gold.
Mu Kifo Ekitukuvu Ennyo n’abajjirayo bakerubi babiri n’abasiiga ne zaabu.
11 And the wings of the cherubs were twenty cubits in length: and one wing of five cubits touched the wall of the house: and the other wing of five cubits touched the wing of the other cherub.
Obugazi bw’ebiwaawaatiro bya bakerubi bwali mita mwenda, ng’ekimu obuwanvu bwakyo kiri mita bbiri ne desimoolo ssatu, nga kituuka ku kisenge kya yeekaalu, n’ekirala obuwanvu nga kiri mita bbiri ne desimoolo ssatu, nga kituuka ku kerubi omulala.
N’ekiwaawaatiro kya kerubi omulala kyali obuwanvu mita bbiri ne desimoolo ssatu nga kituuka ku ludda lw’ekisenge kya yeekaalu ekirala, n’ekiwaawaatiro ekirala obuwanvu nga kiri mita bbiri ne desimoolo ssatu, nga kituuka ku kerubi oli omulala.
13 And the wings of these cherubs expanded were of the length of twenty cubits: and they stood upon their feet, and their faces were toward the house.
Obuwanvu bw’ebiwaawaatiro bya bakerubi bwali mita mwenda awamu, era baasimbibwa ku bigere byabwe, nga batunuuliraganye.
14 And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and wove cherubs in it.
N’akola olutimbe nga lulimu bbululu, effulungu, era nga lutwakaavu, ne bafuta ennungi n’alukubako ebifaananyi bya bakerubi.
15 Also he made in front of the house two pillars, in height thirty-five cubits, and their chapters of five cubits.
Mu maaso ga yeekaalu yassaawo empagi bbiri, obuwanvu bwazo mita kkumi na mukaaga, nga buli emu ku zo eriko omutwe ogwenkana mita bbiri ne desimoolo ssatu.
16 And he made chains, [as] in the oracle, and put [them] on the heads of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.
N’akola emikuufu mu kifo eky’omunda awasinzirwa okwogera n’agissa ku mitwe gy’empagi, ate era n’akola n’amakomamawanga kikumi, n’agateeka ku mikuufu egyo.
17 And he set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right hand and the other on the left: and he called the name of the one on the right hand 'Stability,' and the name of the one on the left 'Strength.'
N’asimba empagi mu maaso ga yeekaalu, emu ku luuyi olw’ebugwanjuba obwa ddyo, n’endala ku luuyi olw’ebugwanjuba obwa kkono. Ey’oku luuyi olw’ebugwanjuba obwa ddyo yagituuma Yakini, n’eyo ku luuyi olw’ebugwanjuba obwa kkono n’agituuma Bowaazi.
