Kings I 29

1 And the Philistines gather all their armies to Aphec, and Israel encamped in Aendor, which is in Jezrael.

Y los filisteos juntaron todos sus campamentos en Afec; e Israel puso su campamento junto a la fuente que está en Jezreel ( Dios esparce ).

2 And the lords of the Philistines went on by hundreds and thousands, and David and his men went on in the rear with Anchus.

Y reconociendo los príncipes de los filisteos sus compañías de a ciento y de a mil hombres, David y los suyos iban en los postreros con Aquis.

3 And the lords of the Philistines said, Who [are] these that pass by? And Anchus said to the captains of the Philistines, [Is] not this David the servant of Saul king of Israel? He has been with us some time, even this second year, and I have not found any fault in him from the day that he attached himself to me even until this day.

Y dijeron los príncipes de los filisteos: ¿Qué hacen aquí estos hebreos? Y Aquis respondió a los príncipes de los filisteos: ¿No es éste David, el siervo de Saúl rey de Israel, que ha estado conmigo algunos días o algunos años, y no he hallado cosa en él desde el día que se pasó a mí hasta hoy?

4 And the captains of the Philistines were displeased at him, and they say to him, Send the man away, and let him return to his place, where thou didst set him; and let him not come with us to the war, and let him not be a traitor in the camp: and wherewith will he be reconciled to his master? Will it not be with the heads of those men?

Entonces los príncipes de los filisteos se enojaron contra él, y le dijeron: Envía a este hombre, que se vuelva al lugar que le señalaste, y no venga con nosotros a la batalla, no sea que en la batalla se nos vuelva enemigo; porque ¿con qué cosa volvería mejor a la gracia de su señor que con las cabezas de estos hombres?

5 [Is] not this David whom they celebrated in dances, saying, Saul has smitten his thousands, and David his ten thousands?

¿No es éste David de quien cantaban en los corros, diciendo: Saúl hirió sus miles, y David sus diez miles?

6 And Anchus called David, and said to him, [As] the Lord lives, thou [art] right and approved in my eyes, and [so is] thy going out and thy coming in with me in the army, and I have not found [any] evil to charge against thee from the day that thou camest to me until this day: but thou art not approved in the eyes of the lords.

Y Aquis llamó a David, y le dijo: Vive el SEÑOR, que tú has sido recto, y que me ha parecido bien tu salida y entrada en el campamento conmigo, y que ninguna cosa mala he hallado en ti desde el día que viniste a mí hasta hoy; mas en los ojos de los príncipes no agradas.

7 Now then return and go in peace, thus thou shalt not do evil in the sight of the lords of the Philistines.

Vuélvete, pues, y vete en paz; y no hagas lo malo en los ojos de los príncipes de los filisteos.

8 And David said to Anchus, What have I done to thee? and what hast thou found in thy servant from the [first] day that I was before thee even until this day, that I should not come and war against the enemies of the lord my king?

Y David respondió a Aquis: ¿Qué he hecho? ¿Qué has hallado en tu siervo desde el día que estoy contigo hasta hoy, para que yo no vaya y pelee contra los enemigos de mi señor el rey?

9 And Anchus answered David, I know that thou [art] good in my eyes, but the lords of the Philistines say, He shall not come with us to the war.

Y Aquis respondió a David, y dijo: Yo sé que tú eres bueno en mis ojos, como un ángel de Dios; mas los príncipes de los filisteos han dicho: No venga éste con nosotros a la batalla.

10 Now then rise up early in the morning, thou and the servants of thy lord that are come with thee, and go to the place where I appointed you, and entertain no evil thought in thy heart, for thou [art] good in my sight: and rise early for your journey when it is light, and depart.

Levántate, pues, de mañana, tú y los siervos de tu señor que han venido contigo; y levantándoos de mañana, luego al amanecer partíos.

11 So David arose early, he and his men, to depart and guard the land of the Philistines: and the Philistines went up to Jezrael to battle.

Y se levantó David de mañana, él y los suyos, para irse y volverse a la tierra de los filisteos; y los filisteos fueron a Jezreel.
