Chronicles I 23
1 And David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel in his stead.
Sendo, pois, Davi já velho e farto de dias, fez a Salomão seu filho rei sobre Israel.
2 And he assembled all the chief men of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites.
E juntando a todos os principais de Israel, e a os sacerdotes e levitas,
3 And the Levites numbered [themselves] from thirty years old and upward; and their number by their polls amounted to thirty and eight thousand men.
Foram contados os levitas de trinta anos acima; e foi o número deles por suas cabeças, contados um a um, trinta e oito mil.
4 Of the overseers over the works of the house of the Lord [there were] twenty-four thousand, and [there were] six thousand scribes and judges;
Destes, vinte e quatro mil para dar pressa à obra da casa do SENHOR; e governadores e juízes, seis mil;
5 and four thousand door-keepers, and four thousand to praise the Lord with instruments which he made to praise the Lord.
Ademais quatro mil porteiros; e quatro mil para louvar a o SENHOR, disse Davi, com os instrumentos que fiz para render louvores.
6 And David divided them [into] daily courses, for the sons of Levi, for Gedson, Caath, and Merari.
E repartiu-os Davi em ordens conforme a os filhos de Levi, Gérson e Coate e Merari.
7 And for [the family of] Gedson, Edan, and Semei.
Os filhos de Gérson: Ladã, e Simei.
8 The sons of Edan [were] Jeiel, the chief, and Zethan, and Joel, three.
Os filhos de Ladã, três: Jeiel o primeiro, depois Zetã e Joel.
9 The sons of Semei; Salomith, Jeiel, and Dan, three: these [were] the chiefs of the families of Edan.
Os filhos de Simei, três: Selomote, Haziel, e Harã. Estes foram os príncipes das famílias de Ladã.
10 And to the sons of Semei, Jeth, and Ziza, and Joas, and Beria: these [were] the four sons of Semei.
E os filhos de Simei: Jaate, Zina, Jeus, e Berias. Estes quatro foram os filhos de Simei.
11 And Jeth was the chief, and Ziza the second: and Joas and Beria did not multiply sons, and they became [only] one reckoning according to the house of their father.
Jaate era o primeiro, Zina o segundo; mas Jeus e Berias não multiplicaram em filhos, por o qual foram contados por uma família.
12 The sons of Caath; Ambram, Isaar, Chebron, Oziel, four.
Os filhos de Coate: Anrão, Izar, Hebrom, e Uziel, eles quatro.
13 The sons of Ambram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was appointed for the consecration of the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the Lord, to minister and bless in his name for ever.
Os filhos de Anrão: Arão e Moisés. E Arão foi apartado para ser dedicado às mais santas coisas, ele e seus filhos para sempre, para que queimassem perfumes diante do SENHOR, e lhe ministrassem, e bendisessem em seu nome, para sempre.
14 And [as for] Moses the man of God, his sons were reckoned to the tribe of Levi.
E os filhos de Moisés, homem de Deus, foram contados na tribo de Levi.
15 The sons of Moses; Gersam, and Eliezer.
Os filhos de Moisés foram Gérson e Eliézer.
16 The sons of Gersam; Subael the chief.
Filho de Gérson foi Sebuel o primeiro.
17 And the sons of Eliezer were, Rabia the chief: and Eliezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rabia were very greatly multiplied.
E filho de Eliézer foi Reabias o primeiro. E Eliézer não teve outros filhos; mas os filhos de Reabias foram muitos.
18 The sons of Isaar; Salomoth the chief.
Filho de Izar foi Selomite o primeiro.
19 The sons of Chebron; Jeria the chief, Amaria the second, Jeziel the third, Jekemias the fourth.
Os filhos de Hebrom: Jería o primeiro, Amarias o segundo, Jaaziel o terceiro, e Jecameão o quarto.
20 The sons of Oziel; Micha the chief, and Isia the second.
Os filhos de Uziel: Mica o primeiro, e Issias o segundo.
21 The sons of Merari; Mooli, and Musi: the sons of Mooli; Eleazar, and Kis.
Os filhos de Merari: Mali e Musi. Os filhos de Mali: Eleazar e Quis.
22 And Eleazar died, and he had no sons, but daughters: and the sons of Kis, their brethren, took them.
E morreu Eleazar sem filhos, mas teve filhas; e os filhos de Quis, seus irmãos, as tomaram por mulheres.
23 The sons of Musi; Mooli, and Eder, and Jarimoth, three.
Os filhos de Musi: Mali, Éder e Jeremote, eles três.
24 These [are] the sons of Levi according to the houses of their fathers; chiefs of their families according to their numbering, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, doing the works of service of the house of the Lord, from twenty years old and upward.
Estes são os filhos de Levi nas famílias de seus pais, cabeceiras de famílias em suas linhagens, contados por seus nomes, por suas cabeças, os quais faziam obra no ministério da casa do SENHOR, de vinte anos acima.
25 For David said, The Lord God of Israel has given rest to his people, and has taken up his abode in Jerusalem for ever.
Porque Davi disse: o SENHOR Deus de Israel há dado repouso a seu povo Israel, e o habitar em Jerusalém para sempre.
26 And the Levites bore not the tabernacle, and all the vessels of it for its service.
E também os levitas não levarão mais o tabernáculo, e todos seus vasos para seu ministério.
27 For by the last words of David was the number of the Levites [taken] from twenty years old and upward.
Assim que, conforme as últimas palavras de Davi, foi a contagem dos filhos de Levi de vinte anos acima.
28 For he appointed them to wait on Aaron, to minister in the house of the Lord, over the courts, and over the chambers, and over the purification of all the holy things, and over the works of the service of the house of God;
E estavam sob a mão dos filhos de Arão, para ministrar na casa do SENHOR, nos átrios e nas câmaras, e na purificação de toda coisa santificada, e na demais obra do ministério da casa de Deus;
29 and for the shew-bread, and for the fine flour of the meat-offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for the fried cake, and for the dough, and for every measure;
Assim para os pães da proposição, e para a flor da farinha para o sacrifício, e para os pães sem levedura, e para as coisas postas em panelas, e para o tostado, e para toda medida e conta;
30 and to stand in the morning to praise and give thanks to the Lord, and so in the evening;
E para que assistissem cada manhã todos os dias a confessar e louvar a o SENHOR, e assim à tarde;
31 and [to be] over all the whole-burnt-offerings that were offered up to the Lord on the sabbaths, and at the new moons, and at the feasts, by number, according to the order [given] to them, continually before the Lord.
E para oferecer todos os holocaustos a o SENHOR os sábados, novas luas, e solenidades, por a conta e forma que tinham, continuamente diante do SENHOR.
32 And they are to keep the charge of the tabernacle of witness, and the charge of the holy place, and the charges of the sons of Aaron their brethren, to minister in the house of the Lord.
E para que tivessem a guarda do tabernáculo do testemunho, e a guarda do santuário, e as ordens dos filhos de Arão seus irmãos, no ministério da casa do SENHOR.
