< Chronicles I 14 >
1 And Chiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar timbers, and masons, and carpenters, to build a house for him.
Ary Hirama, mpanjakan’ i Tyro, naniraka olona tany amin’ i Davida sady nampanatitra hazo sedera ary nandefa mpanao trano vato sy mpandrafitra hanao trano ho azy.
2 And David knew that the Lord [had] designed him to be king over Israel; because his kingdom was highly exalted, on account of his people Israel.
Dia fantatr’ i Davida fa Jehovah efa nampitoetra azy ho mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely, ka voasandratra ny fanjakany noho ny amin’ ny Isiraely olony.
3 And David took more wives in Jerusalem: and there were born to David more sons and daughters.
Ary Davida nampaka-bady koa tany Jerosalema ka niteraka zazalahy sy zazavavy.
4 And these [are] the names of those that were born, who were [born] to him in Jerusalem; Samaa, Sobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
Ary izao no anaran’ ny zanany naterany tany Jerosalema: Samoa sy Sobaba sy Natana sy Solomona
5 and Baar, and Elisa, and Eliphaleth,
sy Jibara sy Elisoa sy Elipeleta
6 and Nageth, and Naphath, and Japhie,
sy Noga sy Nafega sy Jafia
7 and Elisamae, and Eliade, and Eliphala.
sy Elisama sy Seliada ary Elifeleta.
8 And the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel: and all the Philistines went up to seek David; and David heard [it], and went out to meet them.
Koa nony ren’ ny Filistina fa efa nohosorana ho mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely rehetra Davida, dia niakatra hitady azy ny Filistina rehetra. Koa raha ren’ i Davida izany, dia nivoaka hiady taminy izy.
9 And the Philistines came and assembled together in the giants' valley.
Ary dia tonga ny Filistina ka nihahakahaka teny amin’ ny Lohasahan’ ny Refaïta.
10 And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into my hand? And the Lord said to him, Go up, and I will deliver them into thy hands.
Ary Davida nanontany tamin’ Andriamanitra hoe: Hiakatra hamely ny Filistina va aho? Hatolotrao eo an-tanako va izy? Dia hoy Jehovah taminy: Miakara, fa hatolotro eo an-tananao izy.
11 And he went up to Baal Pharasin, and David smote them there; and David said, God has broken through enemies by my hand like a breach of water: therefore he called the name of that place, the Breach of Pharasin.
Dia niakatra nankao Bala-perazima Davida ka namely azy teo; dia hoy izy: Ny tanako no namakian’ Andriamanitra ny fahavaloko hipariaka toy ny rano vaky; koa izany no nanaovany ny anaran’ izany tany izany hoe Bala-perazima.
12 And the Philistines left their gods there; and David gave orders to burn them with fire.
Dia nilaozan’ ireny teo ireo andriamaniny, ka dia nasain’ i Davida nodorana tamin’ ny afo.
13 And the Philistines once more assembled themselves in the giants' valley.
Ary tonga indray ny Filistina ka nihahakahaka teny an-dohasaha indray.
14 And David enquired of God again; and God said to him, Thou shalt not go after them; turn away from them, and thou shalt come upon them near the pear trees.
Dia nanontany tamin’ Andriamanitra indray Davida ka novaliany hoe: Aza mandeha hanenjika azy; fa mivilia azy, dia mandehana, fa ho tonga eo aminy ianao eo amin’ ny tandrifin’ ny hazo balsama.
15 And it shall be, when thou shalt hear the sound of their tumult in the tops of the pear trees, then thou shalt go into the battle: for God has gone out before thee to smite the army of the Philistines.
Ary raha toa mahare fingadongadon’ olona eny amin’ ny tendron’ ny hazo balsama ianao, dia miaingà amin’ izay hiady; fa amin’ izay no efa miainga mialoha anao Andriamanitra hamely ny miaramilan’ ny Filistina.
16 And he did as God commanded him: and he smote the army of the Philistines from Gabaon to Gazera.
Ary dia nanao araka izay nandidian’ Andriamanitra azy Davida, ka dia namely ny miaramilan’ ny Filistina hatrany Gibeona ka hatrany Gazera izy.
17 And the name of David was [famous] in all the land; and the Lord put the terror of him on all the nations.
Ary ny lazan’ i Davida niely teny amin’ ny tany rehetra; ary nataon’ i Jehovah nahazo ny firenena rehetra ny tahotra an’ i Davida.
