< Psalms 94 >
1 O God, in whose hands is punishment, O God of punishment, let your shining face be seen.
ʻE Sihova ko e ʻOtua, ʻoku ʻaʻau ʻae totongi; ʻE ʻOtua, ʻoku ʻaʻau ʻae totongi: ke ke ulo mai.
2 Be lifted up, O judge of the earth; let their reward come to the men of pride.
Ke ke hiki hake koe, ʻa koe ko e fakamaau ʻo māmani; ʻange ʻae totongi ki he laukau.
3 How long will sinners, O Lord, how long will sinners have joy over us?
ʻE Sihova, ʻe fēfē hono fuoloa ʻoe fielahi ʻae angahala, ʻe fēfē hono fuoloa ʻoe polepole ʻae angahala?
4 Words of pride come from their lips; all the workers of evil say great things of themselves.
ʻE fēfē hono fuoloa ʻo ʻenau fakahā mo lea ʻaki ʻae ngaahi meʻa faingataʻa? Pea vikiviki ai ʻae kakai kotoa pē ʻoku fai kovi?
5 Your people are crushed by them, O Lord, your heritage is troubled,
ʻE Sihova, ʻoku nau fesiʻi ʻo lailaiki ho kakai, mo fakamamahiʻi ho tofiʻa.
6 They put to death the widow and the guest, they take the lives of children who have no father;
ʻOku nau tāmateʻi ʻae muli mo e fefine kuo mate hono husepāniti, pea fakapoongi ʻae tamai mate.
7 And they say, Jah will not see it, the God of Jacob will not give thought to it.
Ka ʻoku nau pehē, “ʻE ʻikai ʻafioʻi ʻe Sihova, ʻe ʻikai tokanga ki ai ʻe he ʻOtua ʻo Sēkope.”
8 Give your mind to my words, you who are without wisdom among the people; you foolish men, when will you be wise?
Mou ʻilo ʻekimoutolu ʻoku anga fakamanu ʻi he kakai: pea ko kimoutolu ʻae kau vale, te mou poto ʻafē?
9 Has he by whom your ears were planted no hearing? or is he blind by whom your eyes were formed?
Ko ia naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae telinga, ʻikai te ne fanongo? Ko ia naʻa ne ngaohi ʻae mata, ʻikai te ne ʻafioʻi?
10 He who is the judge of the nations, will he not give men the reward of their acts, even he who gives knowledge to man?
Ko ia ʻoku ne tautea ʻae hiteni, ʻikai te ne tautea? Ko ia ʻoku ne akonakiʻi ʻae tangata ke poto, ʻikai te ne ʻiloʻi?
11 The Lord has knowledge of the thoughts of man, for they are only a breath.
ʻOku ʻiloʻi ʻe Sihova ʻae ngaahi mahalo ʻae tangata, ʻoku nau vaʻinga pē.
12 Happy is the man who is guided by you, O Jah, and to whom you give teaching out of your law;
ʻE Sihova, ʻoku monūʻia ʻae tangata ʻoku ke tautea, mo ke ako kiate ia ʻaki hoʻo fono;
13 So that you may give him rest from the days of evil, till a hole is made ready for the destruction of the sinners.
Koeʻuhi te ke foaki kiate ia ʻae mālōlō mei he ngaahi ʻaho ʻoe mamahi, kaeʻoua ke keli ʻae luo ki he kau angahala.
14 The Lord will not give up his people, or take away his support from his heritage;
Koeʻuhi ʻe ʻikai liʻaki ʻe Sihova hono kakai, pea ʻe ʻikai te ne fakatukutukuʻi hono tofiʻa.
15 But decisions will again be made in righteousness; and they will be kept by all whose hearts are true.
Ka ʻe foki ʻae fakamaau ki he māʻoniʻoni: pea ʻe angimui ki ai ʻakinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku angatonu ʻi loto.
16 Who will give me help against the sinners? and who will be my support against the workers of evil?
Ko hai ʻe tuʻu hake maʻaku ʻo taʻofi ʻae kau fai kovi? Pe ko hai ʻe tuʻu hake maʻaku ʻo taʻofi ʻakinautolu ʻoku ngāue ʻi he angahala?
17 If the Lord had not been my helper, my soul would quickly have gone down into death.
Ka ne ʻikai tokoni au ʻe Sihova, pehē, kuo vave ʻae nofo ʻa hoku laumālie ʻi he fakalongo pē.
18 If I say, My foot is slipping; your mercy, O Lord, is my support.
ʻI heʻeku pehē, “ʻOku hekea hoku vaʻe;” ko hoʻo ʻaloʻofa, ʻE Sihova, naʻe poupou hake au.
19 Among all my troubled thoughts, your comforts are the delight of my soul.
ʻI hono lahi ʻo ʻeku ngaahi mahalo ʻiate au, ʻoku fakafiefiaʻi au ʻi hoʻo ngaahi meʻa fakafiemālie.
20 What part with you has the seat of sin, which makes evil into a law?
ʻE feohi koā mo koe ʻae nofoʻa ʻoe angahala, ʻaia ʻoku fakatupu ʻae pauʻu ʻaki ʻae fono?
21 They are banded together against the soul of the upright, to give decisions against those who have done no wrong.
ʻOku nau fakataha ʻo angatuʻu ki he laumālie ʻoe angatonu, mo fakahalaia ʻae toto tonuhia.
22 But the Lord is my safe resting-place; my God is the Rock where I am safe.
Ka ko hoku ungakiʻi ʻa Sihova pea ko hoku ʻOtua ko e maka ia ʻo hoku hūfanga.
23 And he has made their evil designs come back on themselves, cutting them off in their sin; the Lord our God will put an end to them.
Pea ʻe ʻomi ʻe ia kiate kinautolu ʻa ʻenau hia, pea te ne fakaʻauha ʻakinautolu ʻi heʻenau angahala; ʻio, ko Sihova ko hotau ʻOtua te ne fakaʻauha ʻakinautolu.
