Psalms 76

1 To the chief music-maker; put to Neginoth. A Psalm. Of Asaph. A Song. In Judah is the knowledge of God; his name is great in Israel,

Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe. Pa zoyimbira za zingwe. Salimo la Asafu. Mulungu amadziwika mu Yuda; dzina lake ndi lotchuka mu Israeli.

2 In Salem is his tent, his resting-place in Zion.

Tenti yake ili mu Salemu, malo ake okhalamo mu Ziyoni.

3 There were the arrows of the bow broken, there he put an end to body-cover, sword, and fight. (Selah)

Kumeneko Iye anathyola mivi yowuluka, zishango ndi malupanga, zida zankhondo. (Sela)

4 You are shining and full of glory, more than the eternal mountains.

Wolemekezeka ndinu, wamphamvu kuposa mapiri amene ali ndi nyama zambiri.

5 Gone is the wealth of the strong, their last sleep has overcome them; the men of war have become feeble.

Anthu owuma mtima amagona atalandidwa chuma, Iwowo amagona tulo tawo totsiriza; palibe mmodzi wamphamvu amene angatukule manja ake.

6 At the voice of your wrath, O God of Jacob, deep sleep has overcome carriage and horse.

Pa kudzudzula kwanu, Inu Mulungu wa Yakobo, kavalo pamodzi ndi galeta zimakhala chete zitagona pansi.

7 You, you are to be feared; who may keep his place before you in the time of your wrath?

Inu nokha ndiye muyenera kuopedwa. Angathe kuyima pamaso panu ndani mukakwiya?

8 From heaven you gave your decision; the earth, in its fear, gave no sound,

Kuchokera kumwamba Inu munalengeza chiweruzo, ndipo dziko linaopa ndi kukhala chete,

9 When God took his place as judge, for the salvation of the poor on the earth. (Selah)

pamene Inu Mulungu munadzuka kuti muweruze, kupulumutsa onse osautsidwa mʼdziko. (Sela)

Zoonadi, ukali wanu pa anthu umakubweretserani matamando ndipo opulumuka ku ukali wanu mumawasunga pafupi nanu.

11 Give to the Lord your God what is his by right; let all who are round him give offerings to him who is to be feared.

Chitani malumbiro kwa Yehova Mulungu wanu ndipo muwakwaniritse; anthu onse omuzungulira abweretse mphatso kwa Iye amene ayenera kuopedwa.

12 He puts an end to the wrath of rulers; he is feared by the kings of the earth.

Iye amaswa mzimu wa olamulira; amaopedwa ndi mafumu a dziko lapansi.
