Psalms 73
1 A Psalm. Of Asaph. Truly, God is good to Israel, even to such as are clean in heart.
ദൈവം യിസ്രായേലിന്നു, നിൎമ്മലഹൃദയമുള്ളവർക്കു തന്നേ, നല്ലവൻ ആകുന്നു നിശ്ചയം.
2 But as for me, my feet had almost gone from under me; I was near to slipping;
എന്നാൽ എന്റെ കാലുകൾ ഏകദേശം ഇടറി; എന്റെ കാലടികൾ ഏറക്കുറെ വഴുതിപ്പോയി.
3 Because of my envy of the men of pride, when I saw the well-being of the wrongdoers.
ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സൌഖ്യം കണ്ടിട്ടു എനിക്കു അഹങ്കാരികളോടു അസൂയ തോന്നി.
4 For they have no pain; their bodies are fat and strong.
അവൎക്കു വേദന ഒട്ടുമില്ലല്ലോ; അവരുടെ ദേഹം തടിച്ചുരുണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
5 They are not in trouble as others are; they have no part in the unhappy fate of men.
അവർ മൎത്യരെപ്പോലെ കഷ്ടത്തിൽ ആകുന്നില്ല; മറ്റു മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെ ബാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.
6 For this reason pride is round them like a chain; they are clothed with violent behaviour as with a robe.
ആകയാൽ ഡംഭം അവൎക്കു മാലയായിരിക്കുന്നു; ബലാല്ക്കാരം വസ്ത്രംപോലെ അവരെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
7 Their eyes are bursting with fat; they have more than their heart's desire.
അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ പുഷ്ടികൊണ്ടു ഉന്തിനില്ക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നു.
8 Their thoughts are deep with evil designs; their talk from their seats of power is of cruel acts.
അവർ പരിഹസിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടതയോടെ ഭീഷണി പറയുന്നു; ഉന്നതഭാവത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.
9 Their mouth goes up to heaven; their tongues go walking through the earth.
അവർ വായ് ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയൎത്തുന്നു; അവരുടെ നാവു ഭൂമിയിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.
10 For this reason they are full of bread; and water is ever flowing for them.
അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻതന്റെ ജനത്തെ ഇതിലേക്കു തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ധാരാളം വെള്ളം വലിച്ചുകുടിക്കുന്നു.
11 And they say, How will the Lord see this? is there knowledge in the Most High?
ദൈവം എങ്ങനെ അറിയുന്നു? അത്യുന്നതന്നു അറിവുണ്ടോ? എന്നു അവർ പറയുന്നു.
12 Truly, such are the sinners; they do well at all times, and their wealth is increased.
ഇങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ; അവർ നിത്യം സ്വസ്ഥത അനുഭവിച്ചു സമ്പത്തു വൎദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
13 As for me, I have made my heart clean to no purpose, washing my hands in righteousness;
എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചതും എന്റെ കൈകളെ കുറ്റമില്ലായ്മയിൽ കഴുകിയതും വ്യൎത്ഥമത്രേ.
14 For I have been troubled all the day; every morning have I undergone punishment.
ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ബാധിതനായിരുന്നു; ഉഷസ്സുതോറും ദണ്ഡിക്കപ്പെട്ടും ഇരുന്നു.
15 If I would make clear what it is like, I would say, You are false to the generation of your children.
ഞാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ വിചാരിച്ചെങ്കിൽ ഇതാ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മക്കളുടെ തലമുറയോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.
16 When my thoughts were turned to see the reason of this, it was a weariness in my eyes;
ഞാൻ ഇതു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ നിരൂപിച്ചപ്പോൾ എനിക്കു പ്രയാസമായി തോന്നി;
17 Till I went into God's holy place, and saw the end of the evil-doers.
ഒടുവിൽ ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു അവരുടെ അന്തം എന്താകും എന്നു ചിന്തിച്ചു.
18 You put their feet where there was danger of slipping, so that they go down into destruction.
നിശ്ചയമായി നീ അവരെ വഴുവഴുപ്പിൽ നിൎത്തുന്നു; നീ അവരെ നാശത്തിൽ തള്ളിയിടുന്നു.
19 How suddenly are they wasted! fears are the cause of their destruction.
എത്ര ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവർ ശൂന്യമായ്പോയി! അവർ മെരുൾചകളാൽ അശേഷം മുടിഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.
20 As a dream when one is awake, they are ended; they are like an image gone out of mind when sleep is over.
ഉണരുമ്പോൾ ഒരു സ്വപ്നത്തെപ്പോലെ കൎത്താവേ, നീ ഉണരുമ്പോൾ അവരുടെ രൂപത്തെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കും.
21 My heart was made bitter, and I was pained by the bite of grief:
ഇങ്ങനെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം വ്യസനിക്കയും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗത്തിൽ കുത്തുകൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ
22 As for me, I was foolish, and without knowledge; I was like a beast before you.
ഞാൻ പൊട്ടനും ഒന്നും അറിയാത്തവനും ആയിരുന്നു; നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ മൃഗംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.
23 But still I am ever with you; you have taken me by my right hand.
എന്നിട്ടും ഞാൻ എപ്പോഴും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്നെ വലങ്കൈക്കു പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
24 Your wisdom will be my guide, and later you will put me in a place of honour.
നിന്റെ ആലോചനയാൽ നീ എന്നെ നടത്തും; പിന്നെത്തേതിൽ മഹത്വത്തിലേക്കു എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളും.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you? and having you I have no desire for anything on earth.
സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ എനിക്കു ആരുള്ളു? ഭൂമിയിലും നിന്നെയല്ലാതെ ഞാൻ ഒന്നും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.
26 My flesh and my heart are wasting away: but God is the Rock of my heart and my eternal heritage.
എന്റെ മാംസവും ഹൃദയവും ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; ദൈവം എന്നേക്കും എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ ഓഹരിയും ആകുന്നു.
27 For those who are far away from you will come to destruction: you will put an end to all those who have not kept faith with you.
ഇതാ, നിന്നോടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നവർ നശിച്ചുപോകും; നിന്നെ വിട്ടു പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാവരെയും നീ സംഹരിക്കും.
28 But it is good for me to come near to God: I have put my faith in the Lord God, so that I may make clear all his works.
എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തോടു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു നല്ലതു; നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളെയും വൎണ്ണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവിനെ എന്റെ സങ്കേതമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
