< Psalms 62 >
1 To the chief music-maker. After Jeduthun. A Psalm. Of David. My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my salvation.
Ki he Takimuʻa ko Situtuni, ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. Ko e moʻoni ʻoku tatali hoku laumālie ki he ʻOtua: ʻoku meiate ia hoku fakamoʻui.
2 He only is my Rock and my salvation; he is my high tower; I will not be greatly moved.
Ko ia pē ko hoku makatuʻu mo hoku fakamoʻui; ko hoku hūfanga ia; ʻe ʻikai faʻa ueʻi lahi au.
3 How long will you go on designing evil against a man? running against him as against a broken wall, which is on the point of falling?
ʻE fēfē hono fuoloa mo hoʻomou kei filioʻi kovi ki he tangata? ʻe tāmateʻi ʻakimoutolu kotoa pē: te mou hangē ko e ʻā kuo malele, mo e ʻā ʻoku tuʻu tetetete.
4 Their only thought is to put him down from his place of honour; their delight is in deceit: blessing is in their mouths but cursing in their hearts. (Selah)
ʻOku nau fakakaukau ke tulaki hifo ia mei heʻene lelei: ʻoku nau fiemālie pe ʻi he loi: ʻoku nau tāpuaki ʻaki honau ngutu, ka ʻoku nau kape ʻi loto. (Sila)
5 My soul, put all your faith in God; for from him comes my hope.
ʻE hoku laumālie, ke ke tatali pe ki he ʻOtua; he ʻoku meiate ia ʻeku ʻamanaki lelei.
6 He only is my Rock and my salvation; he is my high tower; I will not be greatly moved.
Ko ia pe ko hoku makatuʻu mo hoku fakamoʻui: ko hoku hūfanga ia; ʻe ʻikai faʻa ueʻi au.
7 In God is my salvation, and my glory; the Rock of my strength, and my safe place.
ʻOku ʻi he ʻOtua ʻa hoku fakamoʻui mo ʻeku fiefia: ko e makatuʻu ʻo hoku mālohi, mo hoku hūfanga ʻoku ʻi he ʻOtua.
8 Have faith in him at all times, you people; let your hearts go flowing out before him: God is our safe place. (Selah)
Falala maʻuaipē kiate ia; ʻakimoutolu ʻae kakai, lilingi homou loto ʻi hono ʻao: ko e hūfanga ʻae ʻOtua kiate kitautolu. (Sila)
9 Truly men of low birth are nothing, and men of high position are not what they seem; if they are put in the scales together they are less than a breath.
Ko e moʻoni ko e meʻa vaʻinga pe ʻae kau tangata māʻulalo, pea ko e meʻa loi ʻae kau tangata māʻolunga: kapau ʻe ʻai ki he meʻa fakamamafa, ʻoku nau maʻamaʻa lahi hake kotoa pē ʻi he meʻa vaʻinga.
10 Have no faith in the rewards of evil-doing, or in profits wrongly made: if your wealth is increased, do not put your hopes on it.
ʻOua naʻa falala ki he fakamālohi pea ʻoua naʻa viki ʻi he kaihaʻa: kapau ʻoku tupu ʻae koloa, ʻoua naʻa tuku homou loto ki ai.
11 Once has God said, twice has it come to my ears, that power is God's:
Kuo folofola ʻae ʻOtua ʻo tuʻo taha; pea naʻe tuʻo ua ʻa ʻeku fanongo eni; ʻoku ʻi he ʻOtua ʻae mālohi.
12 And mercy, O Lord, is yours, for you give to every man the reward of his work.
Pea ʻoku ʻiate koe foki, ʻE ʻEiki, ʻae ʻaloʻofa: he ʻoku ke ʻange ki he tangata taki taha kotoa pē ʻo fakatatau ki heʻene ngāue.
