Psalms 60
1 To the chief music-maker; put to Shushan-eduth. Michtam. Of David. For teaching. When he was fighting against Aram-naharaim and Aramzobah, when Joab came back, and put twelve thousand of the Edomites to death, in the Valley of Salt. God, you have put us away from you, you have sent us in all directions, you have been angry; O be turned to us again.
Mai marelui muzician, ca și „Crinul Mărturiei,” Mictam al lui David, pentru a fi învățat; când s-a luptat cu Aramnaharaim și cu Aramțoba, când Ioab s-a întors și a lovit douăsprezece mii din Edom în valea sării. Dumnezeule, ne-ai lepădat, ne-ai împrăștiat, ai fost nemulțumit; întoarce-te din nou spre noi.
2 By the power of your hand the earth is shaking and broken; make it strong again, for it is moved.
Ai cutremurat pământul; l-ai despicat, vindecă-i spărturile, căci se zguduie.
3 You have made the people see hard times; you have given us the wine of shaking for our drink.
Ai arătat poporului tău lucruri grele, ne-ai făcut să bem vinul înmărmuririi.
4 Give a safe place to those who have fear of you, where they may go in flight from before the bow. (Selah)
Ai dat un steag celor ce se tem de tine, ca să îl înalțe pentru adevăr. (Selah)
5 So that your loved ones may be made safe, let your right hand be my salvation, and give me an answer.
Ca preaiubiții tăi să fie eliberați, salvează cu dreapta ta, și ascultă-mă.
6 God has said in his holy place, I will be glad: I will make a division of Shechem, and the valley of Succoth will be measured out.
Dumnezeu a vorbit în sfințenia lui, mă voi bucura, voi împărți Sihemul și voi măsura valea Sucotului.
7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my law-giver;
Galaadul este al meu și Manase este al meu; Efraim de asemenea este puterea capului meu; Iuda este legiuitorul meu.
8 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I put out my shoe; over Philistia will a glad cry be sounded.
Moab este vasul meu pentru spălare; peste Edom îmi voi arunca sandala, Filistia, triumfă tu din cauza mea.
9 Who will take me into the strong town? who will be my guide into Edom?
Cine mă va duce în cetatea cea tare? Cine mă va conduce în Edom?
10 Have not you put us away, O God? and you have not gone out with our armies.
Nu voiești tu, Dumnezeule, care ne-ai lepădat? Și tu, Dumnezeule, care nu ai ieșit cu armatele noastre?
11 Give us help in our trouble; for there is no help in man.
Dă-ne ajutor în timp de tulburare, fiindcă zadarnic este ajutorul omului.
12 Through God we will do great things, for through him our haters will be crushed under our feet.
Prin Dumnezeu vom lucra vitejește, căci el va călca în picioare pe dușmanii noștri.
