< Psalms 111 >

1 Let the Lord be praised. I will give praise to the Lord with all my heart, among the upright, and in the meeting of the people.
Praise ye the LORD! I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, In the assembly of the righteous, and in the congregation.
2 The works of the Lord are great, searched out by all those who have delight in them.
The works of the LORD are great, Sought out by all who have pleasure in them.
3 His work is full of honour and glory; and his righteousness is unchanging for ever.
His deeds are honorable and glorious, And his righteousness endureth for ever.
4 Certain for ever is the memory of his wonders: the Lord is full of pity and mercy.
He hath established a memorial of his wonders; The LORD is gracious and full of compassion.
5 He has given food to his worshippers; he will keep his agreement in mind for ever.
He giveth meat to them that fear him; He is ever mindful of his covenant.
6 He has made clear to his people the power of his works, giving them the heritage of the nations.
He showed his people the greatness of his works, When he gave them the inheritance of the heathen.
7 The works of his hands are faith and righteousness; all his laws are unchanging.
The deeds of his hands are truth and justice; All his commandments are sure;
8 They are fixed for ever and ever, they are done in faith and righteousness.
They stand firm for ever and ever, Being founded in truth and justice.
9 He has sent salvation to his people; he has given his word for ever: holy is his name and greatly to be feared.
He sent redemption to his people; He established his covenant for ever; Holy, and to be had in reverence, is his name.
10 The fear of the Lord is the best part of wisdom: all those who keep his laws are wise: his praise is eternal.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they who keep his commandments; His praise endureth for ever.
