Psalms 103
1 Of David. Give praise to the Lord, O my soul; let everything in me give praise to his holy name.
[Salmo] di Davide BENEDICI, anima mia, il Signore; E tutte le mie interiora [benedite] il Nome suo santo.
2 Give praise to the Lord, O my soul; let not all his blessings go from your memory.
Benedici, anima mia, il Signore, E non dimenticare alcuno dei suoi beneficii.
3 He has forgiveness for all your sins; he takes away all your diseases;
[Egli è quel] che [ti] perdona tutte le tue iniquità; Che sana tutte le tue infermità;
4 He keeps back your life from destruction, crowning you with mercy and grace.
Che riscuote dalla fossa la tua vita; Che ti corona di benignità e di compassioni;
5 He makes your mouth full of good things, so that your strength is made new again like the eagle's.
Che sazia di beni la tua bocca; Che ti fa ringiovanire come l'aquila.
6 The Lord gives decisions in righteousness for all who are in trouble.
Il Signore fa giustizia E ragione a tutti quelli che sono oppressati.
7 He gave knowledge of his way to Moses, and made his acts clear to the children of Israel.
Egli ha fatte assapere a Mosè le sue vie, [Ed] a' figliuoli d'Israele le sue opere.
8 The Lord is kind and full of pity, not quickly made angry, but ever ready to have mercy.
Il Signore [è] pietoso e clemente; Lento all'ira, e di gran benignità.
9 His feeling will no longer be bitter; he will not keep his wrath for ever.
Egli non contende in eterno; E non serba [l'ira] in perpetuo.
10 He has not given us the punishment for our sins, or the reward of our wrongdoing.
Egli non ci ha fatto secondo i nostri peccati; E non ci ha reso la retribuzione secondo le nostre iniquità.
11 For as the heaven is high over the earth, so great is his mercy to his worshippers.
Perciocchè, quanto sono alti i cieli sopra la terra, [Tanto] è grande la sua benignità inverso quelli che lo temono.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he put our sins from us.
Quant'è lontano il Levante dal Ponente, [Tanto] ha egli allontanati da noi i nostri misfatti.
13 As a father has pity on his children, so the Lord has pity on his worshippers.
Come un padre è pietoso inverso i figliuoli, [Così] è il Signore pietoso inverso quelli che lo temono.
14 For he has knowledge of our feeble frame; he sees that we are only dust.
Perciocchè egli conosce la nostra natura; Egli si ricorda che noi [siamo] polvere.
15 As for man, his days are as grass: his beautiful growth is like the flower of the field.
I giorni dell'uomo [son] come l'erba; Egli fiorisce come il fiore del campo.
16 The wind goes over it and it is gone; and its place sees it no longer.
[Il quale], se un vento gli passa sopra, non [è] più; E il suo luogo non lo riconosce più.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is eternal for his worshippers, and their children's children will see his righteousness;
Ma la benignità del Signore [è] di secolo in secolo Sopra quelli che lo temono; E la sua giustizia sopra i figliuoli de' figliuoli,
18 If they keep his agreement, and have his laws in mind to do them.
Di quelli che osservano il suo patto, E che si ricordano de' suoi comandamenti, per metterli in opera.
19 The Lord has made ready his high seat in the heavens; his kingdom is ruling over all.
Il Signore ha stabilito il suo trono ne' cieli; E il suo regno signoreggia per tutto.
20 Give praise to the Lord, you his angels, who are great in strength, doing his orders, and waiting for his voice.
Benedite il Signore, [voi] suoi Angeli, Possenti di forza, che fate ciò ch'egli dice, Ubbidendo alla voce della sua parola.
21 Give praise to the Lord, all you his armies; and you his servants who do his pleasure.
Benedite il Signore, [voi] tutti gli eserciti suoi; [Voi] suoi ministri, che fate ciò che gli piace.
22 Give praise to the Lord, all his works, in all places under his rule: give praise to the Lord, O my soul.
Benedite il Signore, [voi] tutte l'opere sue, In tutti i luoghi della sua signoria. Anima mia, benedici il Signore.
