Nehemiah 12
1 Now these are the priests and the Levites who went up with Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and of their brothers in the days of Jeshua.
Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah y Jedaías. Estos eran los jefes de los sacerdotes y de sus hermanos en los días de Jesúa.
8 And the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who was over the music-makers, he and his brothers.
Además, los levitas eran Jesúa, Binúi, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá y Matanías, que estaba a cargo de los cantos de acción de gracias, él y sus hermanos.
9 And Bakbukiah and Unno, their brothers, were opposite them in their watches.
También Bakbucías y Unno, sus hermanos, estaban cerca de ellos según sus cargos.
10 And Jeshua was the father of Joiakim, and Joiakim was the father of Eliashib, and Eliashib was the father of Joiada,

11 And Joiada was the father of Jonathan, and Jonathan was the father of Jaddua.

12 And in the days of Joiakim there were priests, heads of families: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

13 Of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

22 The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were listed as heads of families; and the priests, when Darius the Persian was king.
En cuanto a los levitas, en los días de Eliasib, Joiada, Johanán y Jaddua, se registraron los jefes de familia; también los sacerdotes, en el reinado de Darío el Persa.
23 The sons of Levi, heads of families, were recorded in the book of the histories, even till the days of Johanan, the son of Eliashib.
Los hijos de Leví, jefes de familia, fueron inscritos en el libro de las crónicas, hasta los días de Johanán hijo de Eliasib.
24 And the chiefs of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua, the son of Kadmiel, with their brothers opposite them, to give blessing and praise as ordered by David, the man of God, watch against watch.
Los jefes de los levitas: Hasabías, Serebías y Jesúa hijo de Cadmiel, con sus hermanos cerca de ellos, para alabar y dar gracias según el mandato de David, el hombre de Dios, sección tras sección.
25 Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were door-keepers keeping the watch at the store-houses of the doors.

26 These were in the days of Joiakim, the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the ruler and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
Estos eran en los días de Joiaquim hijo de Jesúa, hijo de Josadac, y en los días del gobernador Nehemías y del sacerdote y escriba Esdras.
27 And when the time came for the wall of Jerusalem to be made holy, they sent for the Levites out of all their places to come to Jerusalem, to keep the feast with joy, and with praise and melody, with brass and corded instruments of music.
En la dedicación del muro de Jerusalén, buscaron a los levitas de todos sus lugares para traerlos a Jerusalén a celebrar la dedicación con alegría, dando gracias y cantando, con címbalos, instrumentos de cuerda y arpas.
28 And the sons of the music-makers came together from the lowland round about Jerusalem and from the daughter-towns of the Netophathites,
Los hijos de los cantores se reunieron, tanto de la llanura que rodea a Jerusalén como de las aldeas de los netofatitas;
29 And from Beth-gilgal and from the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the music-makers had made daughter-towns for themselves round about Jerusalem.
también de Bet Gilgal y de los campos de Geba y Azmavet, porque los cantores se habían construido aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén.
30 And the priests and the Levites made themselves clean; and they made the people clean, and the doorways and the wall.
Los sacerdotes y los levitas se purificaron, y purificaron el pueblo, las puertas y el muro.
31 Then I made the rulers of Judah come up on the wall, and I put in position two great bands of them who gave praise, walking in ordered lines; one went to the right on the wall, in the direction of the doorway where the waste was put;
Entonces hice subir a los príncipes de Judá al muro, y designé dos grandes compañías que dieron gracias y fueron en procesión. Una iba a la derecha en el muro, hacia la puerta del estiércol;
32 And after them went Hoshaiah and half of the rulers of Judah,
y tras ellos iban Oseas, con la mitad de los príncipes de Judá,
33 And Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
y Azarías, Esdras y Mesulam,
34 Judah and Benjamin and Shemaiah and Jeremiah,
Judá, Benjamín, Semaías, Jeremías,
35 And certain of the priests' sons with wind instruments; Zechariah, the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph,
y algunos de los hijos de los sacerdotes con trompetas: Zacarías hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Asaf;
36 And his brothers, Shemaiah, and Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel and Judah, Hanani, with the music-instruments of David, the man of God; and Ezra the scribe was at their head;
y sus hermanos, Semaías, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netanel, Judá y Hanani, con los instrumentos musicales de David, el hombre de Dios; y el escriba Esdras estaba delante de ellos.
37 And by the doorway of the fountain and straight in front of them, they went up by the steps of the town of David, at the slope up of the wall, over the house of David, as far as the water-doorway to the east.
Por la puerta del manantial, y en línea recta delante de ellos, subieron por las escaleras de la ciudad de David, en la subida del muro, por encima de la casa de David, hasta la puerta de las aguas, hacia el este.
38 And the other band of those who gave praise went to the left, and I went after them with half the people, on the wall, over the tower of the ovens, as far as the wide wall;
La otra compañía de los que daban gracias salió a su encuentro, y yo tras ellos, con la mitad del pueblo en el muro, por encima de la torre de los hornos, hasta el muro ancho,
39 And over the doorway of Ephraim and by the old door and the fish door and the tower of Hananel and the tower of Hammeah, as far as the sheep door: and at the doorway of the watchmen they came to a stop.
y por encima de la puerta de Efraín, y por la puerta vieja, y por la puerta del pescado, la torre de Hananel, y la torre de Hammea, hasta la puerta de las ovejas; y se detuvieron en la puerta de la guardia.
40 So the two bands of those who gave praise took up their positions in the house of God, and I and half of the chiefs with me:
Las dos compañías de los que daban gracias en la casa de Dios estaban en pie, y yo y la mitad de los jefes conmigo;
41 And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with wind instruments;
y los sacerdotes, Eliaquim, Maasías, Miniamin, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarías y Hananías, con trompetas;
42 And Maaseiah and Shemaiah and Eleazar and Uzzi and Jehohanan and Malchijah and Elam and Ezer. And the makers of melody made their voices loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.
y Maasías, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzi, Johanán, Malquías, Elam y Ezer. Los cantores cantaban en voz alta, con Jezrahías, su supervisor.
43 And on that day they made great offerings and were glad; for God had made them glad with great joy; and the women and the children were glad with them: so that the joy of Jerusalem came to the ears of those who were far off.
Aquel día ofrecieron grandes sacrificios y se regocijaron, porque Dios los había hecho gozar con gran alegría; y también se regocijaron las mujeres y los niños, de modo que la alegría de Jerusalén se oyó hasta muy lejos.
44 And on that day certain men were put over the rooms where the things which had been given were stored, for the lifted offerings and the first-fruits and the tenths, and to take into them the amounts, from the fields of every town, fixed by the law for the priests and the Levites: for Judah was glad on account of the priests and the Levites who were in their places.
Aquel día se designaron hombres sobre las salas para los tesoros, para las ofrendas de las olas, para las primicias y para los diezmos, a fin de recoger en ellas, según los campos de las ciudades, las porciones señaladas por la ley para los sacerdotes y los levitas; porque Judá se alegró por los sacerdotes y por los levitas que servían.
45 And they kept the watch of their God, and were responsible for making things clean, and so did the music-makers and the door-keepers, as it was ordered by David and Solomon his son.
Ellos cumplían el deber de su Dios y el deber de la purificación, y lo mismo hacían los cantores y los porteros, según el mandato de David y de Salomón su hijo.
46 For in the days of David and Asaph in the past, there was a master of the music, and songs of blessing and praise to God.
Porque en los días de David y de Asaf de antaño había un jefe de los cantores, y cantos de alabanza y de acción de gracias a Dios.
47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah gave what was needed by the music-makers and the door-keepers day by day: and they made the offerings holy for the Levites; and the Levites did the same for the sons of Aaron.
Todo Israel, en los días de Zorobabel y en los días de Nehemías, dio las porciones de los cantores y de los porteros, según cada día; y apartaron lo que era para los levitas; y los levitas apartaron lo que era para los hijos de Aarón.
