Mark 9
1 And he said to them, Truly I say to you, There are some here who will have no taste of death till they see the kingdom of God come with power.
അഥ സ താനവാദീത് യുഷ്മഭ്യമഹം യഥാർഥം കഥയാമി, ഈശ്വരരാജ്യം പരാക്രമേണോപസ്ഥിതം ന ദൃഷ്ട്വാ മൃത്യും നാസ്വാദിഷ്യന്തേ, അത്ര ദണ്ഡായമാനാനാം മധ്യേപി താദൃശാ ലോകാഃ സന്തി|
2 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and made them go up with him into a high mountain by themselves: and he was changed in form before them:
അഥ ഷഡ്ദിനേഭ്യഃ പരം യീശുഃ പിതരം യാകൂബം യോഹനഞ്ച ഗൃഹീത്വാ ഗിരേരുച്ചസ്യ നിർജനസ്ഥാനം ഗത്വാ തേഷാം പ്രത്യക്ഷേ മൂർത്യന്തരം ദധാര|
3 And his clothing became shining, very white, as no cleaner on earth would make it.
തതസ്തസ്യ പരിധേയമ് ഈദൃശമ് ഉജ്ജ്വലഹിമപാണഡരം ജാതം യദ് ജഗതി കോപി രജകോ ന താദൃക് പാണഡരം കർത്താം ശക്നോതി|
4 And there came before them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.
അപരഞ്ച ഏലിയോ മൂസാശ്ച തേഭ്യോ ദർശനം ദത്ത്വാ യീശുനാ സഹ കഥനം കർത്തുമാരേഭാതേ|
5 And Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tents; one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
തദാ പിതരോ യീശുമവാദീത് ഹേ ഗുരോഽസ്മാകമത്ര സ്ഥിതിരുത്തമാ, തതഏവ വയം ത്വത്കൃതേ ഏകാം മൂസാകൃതേ ഏകാമ് ഏലിയകൃതേ ചൈകാം, ഏതാസ്തിസ്രഃ കുടീ ർനിർമ്മാമ|
6 Because he was not certain what to say, for they were in great fear.
കിന്തു സ യദുക്തവാൻ തത് സ്വയം ന ബുബുധേ തതഃ സർവ്വേ ബിഭയാഞ്ചക്രുഃ|
7 And a cloud came over them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my dearly loved Son, give ear to him.
ഏതർഹി പയോദസ്താൻ ഛാദയാമാസ, മമയാം പ്രിയഃ പുത്രഃ കഥാസു തസ്യ മനാംസി നിവേശയതേതി നഭോവാണീ തന്മേദ്യാന്നിര്യയൗ|
8 And suddenly looking round about, they saw no one any longer, but Jesus only with themselves.
അഥ ഹഠാത്തേ ചതുർദിശോ ദൃഷ്ട്വാ യീശും വിനാ സ്വൈഃ സഹിതം കമപി ന ദദൃശുഃ|
9 And while they were coming down from the mountain, he gave them orders not to give word to any man of the things they had seen, till the Son of man had come back from the dead.
തതഃ പരം ഗിരേരവരോഹണകാലേ സ താൻ ഗാഢമ് ദൂത്യാദിദേശ യാവന്നരസൂനോഃ ശ്മശാനാദുത്ഥാനം ന ഭവതി, താവത് ദർശനസ്യാസ്യ വാർത്താ യുഷ്മാഭിഃ കസ്മൈചിദപി ന വക്തവ്യാ|
10 And they kept the saying, questioning among themselves what the coming back from the dead might be.
തദാ ശ്മശാനാദുത്ഥാനസ്യ കോഭിപ്രായ ഇതി വിചാര്യ്യ തേ തദ്വാക്യം സ്വേഷു ഗോപായാഞ്ചക്രിരേ|
11 And they put a question to him, saying, Why do the scribes say that Elijah has to come first?
അഥ തേ യീശും പപ്രച്ഛുഃ പ്രഥമത ഏലിയേനാഗന്തവ്യമ് ഇതി വാക്യം കുത ഉപാധ്യായാ ആഹുഃ?
12 And he said to them, Truly, Elijah does come first, and puts all things in order; and how is it said in the Writings that the Son of man will go through much sorrow and be made as nothing?
തദാ സ പ്രത്യുവാച, ഏലിയഃ പ്രഥമമേത്യ സർവ്വകാര്യ്യാണി സാധയിഷ്യതി; നരപുത്രേ ച ലിപി ര്യഥാസ്തേ തഥൈവ സോപി ബഹുദുഃഖം പ്രാപ്യാവജ്ഞാസ്യതേ|
13 But I say to you that Elijah has come, and they have done to him whatever they were pleased to do, even as the Writings say about him.
കിന്ത്വഹം യുഷ്മാൻ വദാമി, ഏലിയാർഥേ ലിപി ര്യഥാസ്തേ തഥൈവ സ ഏത്യ യയൗ, ലോകാ: സ്വേച്ഛാനുരൂപം തമഭിവ്യവഹരന്തി സ്മ|
14 And when they came to the disciples, they saw a great mass of people about them, and scribes questioning them.
അനന്തരം സ ശിഷ്യസമീപമേത്യ തേഷാം ചതുഃപാർശ്വേ തൈഃ സഹ ബഹുജനാൻ വിവദമാനാൻ അധ്യാപകാംശ്ച ദൃഷ്ടവാൻ;
15 And straight away all the people, when they saw him, were full of wonder, and running to him, gave him worship.
കിന്തു സർവ്വലോകാസ്തം ദൃഷ്ട്വൈവ ചമത്കൃത്യ തദാസന്നം ധാവന്തസ്തം പ്രണേമുഃ|
16 And he said, What are you questioning them about?
തദാ യീശുരധ്യാപകാനപ്രാക്ഷീദ് ഏതൈഃ സഹ യൂയം കിം വിവദധ്വേ?
17 And one of the number said to him in answer, Master, I came to you with my son, who has in him a spirit which takes away his power of talking;
തതോ ലോകാനാം കശ്ചിദേകഃ പ്രത്യവാദീത് ഹേ ഗുരോ മമ സൂനും മൂകം ഭൂതധൃതഞ്ച ഭവദാസന്നമ് ആനയം|
18 And wherever it takes him, it puts him down violently, streaming at the lips and twisted with pain; and his strength goes from him; and I made a request to your disciples to send it out, and they were not able.
യദാസൗ ഭൂതസ്തമാക്രമതേ തദൈവ പാതസതി തഥാ സ ഫേണായതേ, ദന്തൈർദന്താൻ ഘർഷതി ക്ഷീണോ ഭവതി ച; തതോ ഹേതോസ്തം ഭൂതം ത്യാജയിതും ഭവച്ഛിഷ്യാൻ നിവേദിതവാൻ കിന്തു തേ ന ശേകുഃ|
19 And he said to them in answer, O generation without faith, how long will I have to be with you? how long will I put up with you? let him come to me.
തദാ സ തമവാദീത്, രേ അവിശ്വാസിനഃ സന്താനാ യുഷ്മാഭിഃ സഹ കതി കാലാനഹം സ്ഥാസ്യാമി? അപരാൻ കതി കാലാൻ വാ വ ആചാരാൻ സഹിഷ്യേ? തം മദാസന്നമാനയത|
20 And they took him to him: and when he saw him, the spirit in him straight away became violent; and he went down on the earth, rolling about and streaming at the lips.
തതസ്തത്സന്നിധിം സ ആനീയത കിന്തു തം ദൃഷ്ട്വൈവ ഭൂതോ ബാലകം ധൃതവാൻ; സ ച ഭൂമൗ പതിത്വാ ഫേണായമാനോ ലുലോഠ|
21 And Jesus questioning the father said, How long has he been like this? And he said, From a child.
തദാ സ തത്പിതരം പപ്രച്ഛ, അസ്യേദൃശീ ദശാ കതി ദിനാനി ഭൂതാ? തതഃ സോവാദീത് ബാല്യകാലാത്|
22 And frequently it has sent him into the fire and into the water, for his destruction; but if you are able to do anything, have pity on us, and give us help.
ഭൂതോയം തം നാശയിതും ബഹുവാരാൻ വഹ്നൗ ജലേ ച ന്യക്ഷിപത് കിന്തു യദി ഭവാന കിമപി കർത്താം ശക്നോതി തർഹി ദയാം കൃത്വാസ്മാൻ ഉപകരോതു|
23 And Jesus said to him, If you are able! All things are possible to him who has faith.
തദാ യീശുസ്തമവദത് യദി പ്രത്യേതും ശക്നോഷി തർഹി പ്രത്യയിനേ ജനായ സർവ്വം സാധ്യമ്|
24 Straight away the father of the child gave a cry, saying, I have faith; make my feeble faith stronger.
തതസ്തത്ക്ഷണം തദ്ബാലകസ്യ പിതാ പ്രോച്ചൈ രൂവൻ സാശ്രുനേത്രഃ പ്രോവാച, പ്രഭോ പ്രത്യേമി മമാപ്രത്യയം പ്രതികുരു|
25 And when Jesus saw that the people came running together, he gave orders to the unclean spirit, saying to him, You, spirit, who are the cause of his loss of voice and hearing, I say to you, come out of him, and never again go into him.
അഥ യീശു ർലോകസങ്ഘം ധാവിത്വായാന്തം ദൃഷ്ട്വാ തമപൂതഭൂതം തർജയിത്വാ ജഗാദ, രേ ബധിര മൂക ഭൂത ത്വമേതസ്മാദ് ബഹിർഭവ പുനഃ കദാപി മാശ്രയൈനം ത്വാമഹമ് ഇത്യാദിശാമി|
26 And after crying out and shaking him violently, it came out: and the child became like one dead; so that most of them said, He is dead.
തദാ സ ഭൂതശ്ചീത്ശബ്ദം കൃത്വാ തമാപീഡ്യ ബഹിർജജാമ, തതോ ബാലകോ മൃതകൽപോ ബഭൂവ തസ്മാദയം മൃതഇത്യനേകേ കഥയാമാസുഃ|
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, lifting him up; and he got up.
കിന്തു കരം ധൃത്വാ യീശുനോത്ഥാപിതഃ സ ഉത്തസ്ഥൗ|
28 And when he had gone into the house, his disciples said to him privately, Why were we unable to send it out?
അഥ യീശൗ ഗൃഹം പ്രവിഷ്ടേ ശിഷ്യാ ഗുപ്തം തം പപ്രച്ഛുഃ, വയമേനം ഭൂതം ത്യാജയിതും കുതോ ന ശക്താഃ?
29 And he said to them, Nothing will make this sort come out but prayer.
സ ഉവാച, പ്രാർഥനോപവാസൗ വിനാ കേനാപ്യന്യേന കർമ്മണാ ഭൂതമീദൃശം ത്യാജയിതും ന ശക്യം|
30 And they went out from there, through Galilee; and it was his desire that no man might have knowledge of it;
അനന്തരം സ തത്സ്ഥാനാദിത്വാ ഗാലീൽമധ്യേന യയൗ, കിന്തു തത് കോപി ജാനീയാദിതി സ നൈച്ഛത്|
31 For he was giving his disciples teaching, and saying to them, The Son of man is given up into the hands of men, and they will put him to death; and when he is dead, after three days he will come back from the dead.
അപരഞ്ച സ ശിഷ്യാനുപദിശൻ ബഭാഷേ, നരപുത്രോ നരഹസ്തേഷു സമർപയിഷ്യതേ തേ ച തം ഹനിഷ്യന്തി തൈസ്തസ്മിൻ ഹതേ തൃതീയദിനേ സ ഉത്ഥാസ്യതീതി|
32 But the saying was not clear to them, and they were in fear of questioning him about it.
കിന്തു തത്കഥാം തേ നാബുധ്യന്ത പ്രഷ്ടുഞ്ച ബിഭ്യഃ|
33 And they came to Capernaum: and when he was in the house, he put the question to them, What were you talking about on the way?
അഥ യീശുഃ കഫർനാഹൂമ്പുരമാഗത്യ മധ്യേഗൃഹഞ്ചേത്യ താനപൃച്ഛദ് വർത്മമധ്യേ യൂയമന്യോന്യം കിം വിവദധ്വേ സ്മ?
34 But they said nothing: because they had had an argument between themselves on the way, about who was the greatest.
കിന്തു തേ നിരുത്തരാസ്തസ്ഥു ര്യസ്മാത്തേഷാം കോ മുഖ്യ ഇതി വർത്മാനി തേഽന്യോന്യം വ്യവദന്ത|
35 And seating himself, he made the twelve come to him; and he said to them, If any man has the desire to be first, he will be last of all and servant of all.
തതഃ സ ഉപവിശ്യ ദ്വാദശശിഷ്യാൻ ആഹൂയ ബഭാഷേ യഃ കശ്ചിത് മുഖ്യോ ഭവിതുമിച്ഛതി സ സർവ്വേഭ്യോ ഗൗണഃ സർവ്വേഷാം സേവകശ്ച ഭവതു|
36 And he took a little child, and put him in the middle of them; and taking him in his arms, he said to them,
തദാ സ ബാലകമേകം ഗൃഹീത്വാ മധ്യേ സമുപാവേശയത് തതസ്തം ക്രോഡേ കൃത്വാ താനവാദാത്
37 Whoever will give honour to one such little child in my name, gives honour to me: and whoever gives honour to me, gives honour not to me, but to him who sent me.
യഃ കശ്ചിദീദൃശസ്യ കസ്യാപി ബാലസ്യാതിഥ്യം കരോതി സ മമാതിഥ്യം കരോതി; യഃ കശ്ചിന്മമാതിഥ്യം കരോതി സ കേവലമ് മമാതിഥ്യം കരോതി തന്ന മത്പ്രേരകസ്യാപ്യാതിഥ്യം കരോതി|
38 John said to him, Master, we saw one driving out evil spirits in your name: and we said that he might not, because he is not one of us.
അഥ യോഹൻ തമബ്രവീത് ഹേ ഗുരോ, അസ്മാകമനനുഗാമിനമ് ഏകം ത്വാന്നാമ്നാ ഭൂതാൻ ത്യാജയന്തം വയം ദൃഷ്ടവന്തഃ, അസ്മാകമപശ്ചാദ്ഗാമിത്വാച്ച തം ന്യഷേധാമ|
39 But Jesus said, Say not so: for there is no man who will do a great work in my name, and be able at the same time to say evil of me.
കിന്തു യീശുരവദത് തം മാ നിഷേധത്, യതോ യഃ കശ്ചിൻ മന്നാമ്നാ ചിത്രം കർമ്മ കരോതി സ സഹസാ മാം നിന്ദിതും ന ശക്നോതി|
40 He who is not against us is for us.
തഥാ യഃ കശ്ചിദ് യുഷ്മാകം വിപക്ഷതാം ന കരോതി സ യുഷ്മാകമേവ സപക്ഷഃ|
41 Whoever gives you a cup of water, because you are Christ's, truly I say to you, he will in no way be without his reward.
യഃ കശ്ചിദ് യുഷ്മാൻ ഖ്രീഷ്ടശിഷ്യാൻ ജ്ഞാത്വാ മന്നാമ്നാ കംസൈകേന പാനീയം പാതും ദദാതി, യുഷ്മാനഹം യഥാർഥം വച്മി, സ ഫലേന വഞ്ചിതോ ന ഭവിഷ്യതി|
42 And whoever is a cause of trouble to one of these little ones who have faith in me, it would be better for him if a great stone was put round his neck and he was dropped into the sea.
കിന്തു യദി കശ്ചിൻ മയി വിശ്വാസിനാമേഷാം ക്ഷുദ്രപ്രാണിനാമ് ഏകസ്യാപി വിഘ്നം ജനയതി, തർഹി തസ്യൈതത്കർമ്മ കരണാത് കണ്ഠബദ്ധപേഷണീകസ്യ തസ്യ സാഗരാഗാധജല മജ്ജനം ഭദ്രം|
43 And if your hand is a cause of trouble to you, let it be cut off; it is better for you to go into life with one hand than to have two hands and go into hell, into the eternal fire. (Geenna g1067)
അതഃ സ്വകരോ യദി ത്വാം ബാധതേ തർഹി തം ഛിന്ധി;
യസ്മാത് യത്ര കീടാ ന മ്രിയന്തേ വഹ്നിശ്ച ന നിർവ്വാതി, തസ്മിൻ അനിർവ്വാണാനലനരകേ കരദ്വയവസ്തവ ഗമനാത് കരഹീനസ്യ സ്വർഗപ്രവേശസ്തവ ക്ഷേമം| (Geenna g1067)
45 And if your foot is a cause of trouble to you, let it be cut off: it is better for you to go into life with one foot than to have two feet and go into hell. (Geenna g1067)
യദി തവ പാദോ വിഘ്നം ജനയതി തർഹി തം ഛിന്ധി,
യതോ യത്ര കീടാ ന മ്രിയന്തേ വഹ്നിശ്ച ന നിർവ്വാതി, തസ്മിൻ ഽനിർവ്വാണവഹ്നൗ നരകേ ദ്വിപാദവതസ്തവ നിക്ഷേപാത് പാദഹീനസ്യ സ്വർഗപ്രവേശസ്തവ ക്ഷേമം| (Geenna g1067)
47 And if your eye is a cause of trouble to you, take it out: it is better for you to go into the kingdom of God with one eye than, having two eyes, to go into hell, (Geenna g1067)
സ്വനേത്രം യദി ത്വാം ബാധതേ തർഹി തദപ്യുത്പാടയ, യതോ യത്ര കീടാ ന മ്രിയന്തേ വഹ്നിശ്ച ന നിർവ്വാതി,
48 Where their worm is ever living and the fire is not put out.
തസ്മിന ഽനിർവ്വാണവഹ്നൗ നരകേ ദ്വിനേത്രസ്യ തവ നിക്ഷേപാദ് ഏകനേത്രവത ഈശ്വരരാജ്യേ പ്രവേശസ്തവ ക്ഷേമം| (Geenna g1067)
49 Everyone will be salted with fire.
യഥാ സർവ്വോ ബലി ർലവണാക്തഃ ക്രിയതേ തഥാ സർവ്വോ ജനോ വഹ്നിരൂപേണ ലവണാക്തഃ കാരിഷ്യതേ|
50 Salt is good; but if the taste goes from it, how will you make it salt again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace one with another.
ലവണം ഭദ്രം കിന്തു യദി ലവണേ സ്വാദുതാ ന തിഷ്ഠതി, തർഹി കഥമ് ആസ്വാദ്യുക്തം കരിഷ്യഥ? യൂയം ലവണയുക്താ ഭവത പരസ്പരം പ്രേമ കുരുത|
