Mark 10
1 And he got up, and went into the country of Judaea on the other side of Jordan: and great numbers of people came together to him again; and, as was his way, he gave them teaching.
Jesus brach dann von dort auf und kam in das Gebiet von Judäa, und zwar in das Ostjordanland; und wieder strömte das Volk in Scharen bei ihm zusammen, und wieder lehrte er sie, wie es seine Gewohnheit war.
2 And Pharisees came to him, testing him with the question, Is it right for a man to put away his wife?
Da traten Pharisäer an ihn heran und fragten ihn, ob ein Ehemann seine Frau entlassen dürfe; sie wollten ihn nämlich versuchen.
3 And he said to them in answer, What did Moses say you were to do?
Er aber gab ihnen zur Antwort: »Was hat Mose euch geboten?«
4 And they said to him, Moses let us give her a statement in writing, and be free from her.
Sie sagten: »Mose hat gestattet, einen Scheidebrief auszustellen und dann (die Frau) zu entlassen.«
5 But Jesus said to them, Because of your hard hearts he gave you this law.
Jesus aber sagte zu ihnen: »Mit Rücksicht auf eure Herzenshärte hat er euch dieses Gebot vorgeschrieben;
6 But from the first, male and female made he them.
aber vom Anfang der Schöpfung an hat Gott die Menschen als Mann und Weib geschaffen.
7 For this cause will a man go away from his father and mother, and be joined to his wife;
Darum wird ein Mann seinen Vater und seine Mutter verlassen und seinem Weibe anhangen,
8 And the two will become one flesh; so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.
und die beiden werden zu einem Leibe werden, so daß sie nicht mehr zwei sind, sondern ein Leib.
9 Let not that which has been joined together by God be parted by man.
Was nun Gott zusammengefügt hat, das soll der Mensch nicht scheiden.«
10 And in the house the disciples put questions to him again about this thing.
Zu Hause befragten ihn dann seine Jünger nochmals hierüber,
11 And he said to them, Whoever puts away his wife and takes another, is false to his wife;
und er erklärte ihnen: »Wer seine Frau entläßt und eine andere heiratet, begeht ihr gegenüber Ehebruch,
12 And if she herself puts away her husband and takes another, she is false to her husband.
und (ebenso) wenn sie sich von ihrem Manne scheidet und einen andern heiratet, so begeht sie Ehebruch.«
13 And they took to him little children, so that he might put his hands on them: and the disciples said sharp words to them.
Und man brachte Kinder zu ihm, damit er sie anrühre; die Jünger aber verwiesen es ihnen in barscher Weise.
14 And when Jesus saw it, he was angry, and said to them, Let the little children come to me, and do not keep them away; for of such is the kingdom of God.
Als Jesus das sah, wurde er unwillig und sagte zu seinen Jüngern: »Laßt die Kinder zu mir kommen, hindert sie nicht daran! Denn für ihresgleichen ist das Reich Gottes bestimmt.
15 Truly I say to you, Whoever does not put himself under the kingdom of God like a little child, will not come into it at all.
Wahrlich ich sage euch: Wer das Reich Gottes nicht annimmt wie ein Kind, wird sicherlich nicht hineinkommen!«
16 And he took them in his arms, and gave them a blessing, putting his hands on them.
Dann schloß er sie in seine Arme und segnete sie, indem er ihnen die Hände auflegte.
17 And while he was going out into the way, a man came running to him, and went down on his knees, saying, Good Master, what have I to do so that I may have eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
Als er dann (wieder) aufbrach, um weiterzuwandern, lief einer auf ihn zu, warf sich vor ihm auf die Knie nieder und fragte ihn: »Guter Meister, was muß ich tun, um ewiges Leben zu erben?« (aiōnios g166)
18 And Jesus said to him, Why do you say I am good? no one is good but one, and that is God.
Jesus antwortete ihm: »Was nennst du mich gut? Niemand ist gut als Gott allein.
19 You have knowledge of what is said in the law, Do not put any one to death, Do not be untrue in married life, Do not take what is not yours, Do not give false witness, Do not get money by deceit, Give honour to your father and mother.
Du kennst die Gebote: ›Du sollst nicht töten, nicht ehebrechen, nicht stehlen, nicht falsches Zeugnis ablegen, keinem das ihm Zukommende vorenthalten, ehre deinen Vater und deine Mutter!‹«
20 And he said to him, Master, all these laws I have kept from the time when I was young.
Jener erwiderte ihm: »Meister, dies alles habe ich von meiner Jugend an gehalten.«
21 And Jesus, looking on him and loving him, said, There is one thing needed: go, get money for your goods, and give it to the poor, and you will have wealth in heaven: and come with me.
Jesus blickte ihn an, gewann ihn lieb und sagte zu ihm: »Eins fehlt dir noch: gehe hin, verkaufe alles, was du besitzest, und gib (den Erlös) den Armen: so wirst du einen Schatz im Himmel haben; dann komm und folge mir nach!«
22 But his face became sad at the saying, and he went away sorrowing: for he was one who had much property.
Er aber wurde über dies Wort unmutig und ging betrübt weg; denn er besaß ein großes Vermögen.
23 And Jesus, looking round about, said to his disciples, How hard it is for those who have wealth to come into the kingdom of God!
Da blickte Jesus rings um sich und sagte zu seinen Jüngern: »Wie schwer wird es doch für die Begüterten sein, in das Reich Gottes einzugehen!«
24 And the disciples were full of wonder at his words. But Jesus said to them again, Children, how hard it is for those who put faith in wealth to come into the kingdom of God!
Die Jünger waren über diese seine Worte betroffen, Jesus aber wiederholte seinen Ausspruch nochmals mit den Worten: »Kinder, wie schwer ist es doch [für Menschen, die sich auf Geld und Gut verlassen], in das Reich Gottes einzugehen!
25 It is simpler for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a man of wealth to come into the kingdom of God.
Es ist leichter, daß ein Kamel durch ein Nadelöhr hindurchgeht, als daß ein Reicher in das Reich Gottes eingeht.«
26 And they were greatly surprised, saying to him, Who then may have salvation?
Da erschraken sie noch weit mehr und sagten zueinander: »Ja, wer kann dann gerettet werden?«
27 Jesus, looking on them, said, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God.
Jesus blickte sie an und sagte: »Bei den Menschen ist es unmöglich, nicht aber bei Gott; denn bei Gott ist alles möglich.«
28 Peter said to him, See, we have given up everything, and come after you.
Da nahm Petrus das Wort und sagte zu ihm: »Siehe, wir haben alles verlassen und sind dir nachgefolgt.«
29 Jesus said, Truly I say to you, There is no man who has given up house, or brothers, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or land, because of me and the good news,
Jesus erwiderte: »Wahrlich ich sage euch: Niemand hat Haus oder Brüder und Schwestern oder Mutter, Vater und Kinder oder Äcker um meinetwillen und um der Heilsbotschaft willen verlassen,
31 But a great number who are first will be last: and those who are last will be first.
Viele Erste aber werden Letzte sein und die Letzten Erste.«
32 And they were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going before them: and they were full of wonder; but those who came after him were in fear. And again he took the twelve, and gave them word of the things which were to come on him,
Sie waren aber auf der Wanderung begriffen, um nach Jerusalem hinaufzuziehen; Jesus ging ihnen (dabei) voran, und sie waren darüber erstaunt; die ihm Nachfolgenden aber waren voll Furcht. Da nahm er die Zwölf nochmals (allein) zu sich und begann mit ihnen von dem Geschick zu sprechen, das ihm bevorstände:
33 Saying, See, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be given up to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will give an order for his death, and will give him up to the Gentiles:
»Seht, wir ziehen jetzt nach Jerusalem hinauf, und der Menschensohn wird den Hohenpriestern und Schriftgelehrten ausgeliefert werden; sie werden ihn zum Tode verurteilen und ihn den Heiden ausliefern;
34 And they will make sport of him, and put shame on him, and give him cruel blows, and will put him to death; and after three days he will come back from the dead.
die werden ihn dann verspotten und anspeien, geißeln und töten; und nach drei Tagen wird er auferstehen.«
35 And there came to him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying to him, Master, will you give us whatever may be our request?
Da traten Jakobus und Johannes, die Söhne des Zebedäus, an ihn heran und sagten zu ihm: »Meister, wir möchten, daß du uns eine Bitte erfüllst.«
36 And he said to them, What would you have me do for you?
Er fragte sie: »Was wünscht ihr von mir?«
37 And they said to him, Let us be seated, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory.
Sie antworteten ihm: »Gewähre uns, daß wir in deiner Herrlichkeit einer zu deiner Rechten und einer zu deiner Linken sitzen dürfen!«
38 But Jesus said to them, You have no knowledge of what you are saying. Are you able to take of my cup? or to undergo the baptism which I am to undergo?
Da sagte Jesus zu ihnen: »Ihr wißt nicht, um was ihr da bittet. Könnt ihr den Kelch trinken, den ich zu trinken habe, oder die Taufe erleiden, mit der ich getauft werde?«
39 And they said to him, We are able. And Jesus said to them, You will take of the cup from which I take; and the baptism which I am about to undergo you will undergo:
Sie antworteten ihm: »Ja, wir können es.« Da sagte Jesus zu ihnen: »Den Kelch, den ich zu trinken habe, werdet (auch) ihr trinken, und mit der Taufe, mit der ich getauft werde, werdet ihr auch getauft werden;
40 But to be seated at my right hand or at my left is not for me to give: but it is for those for whom it has been made ready.
aber den Sitz zu meiner Rechten oder zu meiner Linken habe nicht ich zu verleihen, sondern er wird denen zuteil, für die er bestimmt ist.«
41 And hearing this, the ten became very angry with James and John.
Als nun die zehn (übrigen Jünger) dies hörten, begann sich der Unwille über Jakobus und Johannes in ihnen zu regen.
42 And Jesus made them come to him, and said to them, You see that those who are made rulers over the Gentiles are lords over them, and their great ones have authority over them.
Da rief Jesus sie zu sich und sagte zu ihnen: »Ihr wißt, daß die, welche als Herrscher der Völker gelten, sich als Herren gegen sie benehmen und daß ihre Großen sie vergewaltigen.
43 But it is not so among you: but whoever has a desire to become great among you, let him be your servant:
Bei euch aber darf es nicht so sein, sondern wer unter euch groß werden möchte, muß euer Diener sein,
44 And whoever has a desire to be first among you, let him be servant of all.
und wer unter euch der Erste sein möchte, muß der Knecht aller sein;
45 For truly the Son of man did not come to have servants, but to be a servant, and to give his life for the salvation of men.
denn auch der Menschensohn ist nicht (dazu) gekommen, um sich bedienen zu lassen, sondern um selbst zu dienen und sein Leben als Lösegeld für viele hinzugeben.«
46 And they came to Jericho: and when he was going out of Jericho, with his disciples and a great number of people, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind man, was seated by the wayside, with his hand out for money.
Sie kamen dann nach Jericho; und als er mit seinen Jüngern und einer großen Volksmenge aus Jericho hinauszog, saß der Sohn des Timäus, Bartimäus, ein blinder Bettler, am Wege.
47 And when it came to his ears that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he gave a cry, and said, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.
Als dieser hörte, es sei Jesus von Nazareth, begann er laut zu rufen: »Sohn Davids, Jesus, erbarme dich meiner!«
48 And some of them, turning in protest, gave him an order to be quiet: but he went on crying out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.
Viele riefen ihm drohend zu, er solle still sein; doch er rief nur noch lauter: »Sohn Davids, erbarme dich meiner!«
49 And Jesus came to a stop and said, Let him come. And crying out to the blind man, they said to him, Be comforted: come, he has sent for you.
Da blieb Jesus stehen und sagte: »Ruft ihn her!« So riefen sie denn den Blinden und sagten zu ihm: »Sei guten Mutes, stehe auf: er ruft dich!«
50 And he, putting off his coat, got up quickly, and came to Jesus.
Da warf er seinen Mantel ab, sprang auf und kam zu Jesus.
51 And Jesus said to him, What would you have me do to you? And the blind man said, Master, make me able to see.
Dieser redete ihn mit den Worten an: »Was wünschest du von mir?« Der Blinde antwortete ihm: »Rabbuni, ich möchte sehen können!«
52 And Jesus said to him, Go on your way; your faith has made you well. And straight away he was able to see, and went after him in the way.
Jesus sagte zu ihm: »Gehe hin, dein Glaube hat dich gerettet.« Da konnte er augenblicklich sehen und schloß sich an Jesus auf der Wanderung an.
