Luke 22
1 Now the feast of unleavened bread was near, which is called the Passover.
பஸ்கா என அழைக்கப்படும், புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப்பண்டிகை நெருங்கி இருந்தது.
2 And the chief priests and the scribes were looking for a chance to put him to death, but they went in fear of the people.
தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களும், மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியரும், இயேசுவைக் கொலைசெய்வதற்கு வழியைத் தேடிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். ஆனால், அவர்கள் மக்களுக்குப் பயந்திருந்தார்கள்.
3 And Satan came into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve.
அப்பொழுது பன்னிரண்டு சீடர்களில் ஒருவனான, ஸ்காரியோத்து என அழைக்கப்பட்ட யூதாசுக்குள் சாத்தான் புகுந்தான்.
4 And he went away and had a discussion with the chief priests and the rulers, about how he might give him up to them.
யூதாஸ் தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களிடமும், ஆலயத்தின் காவல் அதிகாரிகளிடமும் போய், தான் இயேசுவை எப்படிக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கலாம் என்று, அவர்களுடன் கலந்து பேசினான்.
5 And they were glad, and undertook to give him money.
அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்து, அவனுக்குப் பணம் கொடுக்க உடன்பட்டார்கள்.
6 And he made an agreement with them to give him up to them, if he got a chance, when the people were not present.
யூதாசும் அதற்குச் சம்மதித்து, மக்கள் கூடியிராத வேளையில், அவர்களிடம் இயேசுவைப் பிடித்துக் கொடுப்பதற்கு வாய்ப்பைத் தேடிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.
7 And the day of unleavened bread came, when the Passover lamb is put to death.
அப்பொழுது பஸ்கா ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைப் பலியிடப்படும் நாளான புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப் பண்டிகையின் நாள் வந்தது.
8 And Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, Go and make the Passover ready for us, so that we may take it.
இயேசு பேதுருவிடமும், யோவானிடமும், “நீங்கள் போய், பஸ்காவைச் சாப்பிடுவதற்கான ஆயத்தங்களைச் செய்யுங்கள்” என்று சொல்லி, அவர்களை அனுப்பினார்.
9 And they said to him, Where are we to get it ready?
அவர்கள், “நாங்கள் எங்கே அதற்கான ஆயத்தத்தை செய்யவேண்டும் என நீர் விரும்புகிறீர்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
10 And he said to them, When you go into the town you will see a man coming to you with a vessel of water; go after him into the house into which he goes.
இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் பட்டணத்திற்குள் போகும்போது, தண்ணீர் குடத்தைச் சுமந்து வருகிற ஒருவனைச் சந்திப்பீர்கள். அவன் போகும் வீட்டிற்குள், அவனைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து போங்கள்.
11 And say to the master of the house, The Master says, Where is the guest-room, where I may take the Passover with my disciples?
வீட்டின் சொந்தக்காரனிடம், ‘எனது சீடர்களுடன் நான் பஸ்காவைச் சாப்பிடுவதற்கான விருந்தினர் அறை எங்கே இருக்கிறது என்று, போதகர் உம்மிடம் கேட்கச் சொன்னார்’ என்று கேளுங்கள்.
12 And he will take you up to a great room with a table and seats: there make ready.
அவன் உங்களுக்கு வசதி உள்ள ஒரு பெரிய மேல்வீட்டு அறையைக் காண்பிப்பான். அங்கே ஆயத்தம் செய்யுங்கள்” என்று சொல்லி அனுப்பினார்.
13 And they went, and it was as he had said: and they made the Passover ready.
அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், இயேசு தங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன விதமாகவே எல்லாம் இருப்பதைக் கண்டார்கள். பஸ்காவை ஆயத்தம் செய்தார்கள்.
14 And when the time had come, he took his seat, and the Apostles with him.
அதற்கான நேரம் வந்தபோது, இயேசுவும் அவருடைய அப்போஸ்தலரும் பந்தியில் உட்கார்ந்தார்கள்.
15 And he said, I have had a great desire to keep this Passover with you before I come to my death;
இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நான் வேதனை அனுபவிக்கும் முன்னதாக, உங்களுடனே இந்தப் பஸ்காவைச் சாப்பிடுவதற்கு ஆவலுடன் வாஞ்சையாய் இருக்கிறேன்.
16 For I say to you, I will not take it till it is made complete in the kingdom of God.
ஏனெனில், நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், இறைவனுடைய அரசில் இவையெல்லாம் நிறைவேறும் வரைக்கும், இதை நான் மீண்டும் சாப்பிடமாட்டேன்” என்றார்.
17 And he took a cup and, having given praise, he said, Make division of this among yourselves;
பாத்திரத்தை எடுத்த பின்பு, அவர் நன்றி செலுத்தி, “இதை எடுத்து உங்களிடையே பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.
18 For I say to you, I will not take of the fruit of the vine till the kingdom of God has come.
ஏனெனில் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், இறைவனுடைய அரசு வரும்வரைக்கும் திராட்சைப்பழ இரசத்தை இனிமேல் நான் குடிக்கமாட்டேன்” என்றார்.
19 And he took bread and, having given praise, he gave it to them when it had been broken, saying, This is my body, which is given for you: do this in memory of me.
பின்பு இயேசு அப்பத்தை எடுத்து, நன்றி செலுத்தி, அதைப் பிட்டு, அதை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்து, “உங்களுக்காகக் கொடுக்கப்படுகிற என்னுடைய சரீரம்; என்னை நினைவுகூரும்படி இதைச் செய்யுங்கள்” என்றார்.
20 And in the same way, after the meal, he took the cup, saying, This cup is the new testament, made with my blood which is given for you.
அவ்விதமாகவே உணவை முடித்தபின்பு, அவர் அந்தப் பாத்திரத்தை எடுத்து, அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னதாவது, “இந்தப் பாத்திரம், உங்களுக்காக ஊற்றப்படுகிற என்னுடைய இரத்தத்தினாலான புதிய உடன்படிக்கை.
21 But the hand of him who is false to me is with me at the table.
ஆனாலும், என்னைக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கப் போகிறவனின் கையோ, சாப்பாட்டுப் பந்தியிலே என் கையுடனேயே இருக்கிறது.
22 For it will be done to the Son of man after the purpose of God, but unhappy is that man by whom he is given up.
நியமிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறபடியே மானிடமகனாகிய நான் போகவேண்டும். ஆனால் என்னைக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கிறவனுக்கு ஐயோ!” என்றார்.
23 And they were wondering among themselves which of them it was who would do this thing.
அவர்களோ, தங்களுக்குள்ளே “இதைச் செய்கிறவன் யாராயிருக்கும்?” என்று, தங்களுக்குள்ளே கேட்கத் தொடங்கினார்கள்.
24 And there was an argument among them about which of them was the greatest.
மேலும், தங்களுக்குள்ளே யார் பெரியவனாகக் கருதப்படுகிறான் என்பது பற்றி, ஒரு வாக்குவாதமும் மூண்டது.
25 And he said, The kings of the Gentiles are lords over them, and those who have authority are given names of honour.
அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “யூதரல்லாத மக்களின் அரசர்கள், அவர்களை அடக்கி ஆளுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள்மேல் அதிகாரம் செலுத்துகிறவர்கள், தாங்கள் கொடைவள்ளல்கள் என்று தங்களை அழைத்துக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.
26 But let it not be so with you; but he who is greater, let him become like the younger; and he who is chief, like a servant.
ஆனால், நீங்கள் அப்படியிருக்கக் கூடாது. உங்கள் மத்தியில் பெரியவனாய் இருக்கிறவன், சிறியவனைப்போல் இருக்கவேண்டும். ஆளுகை செய்கிறவனோ, பணிவிடை செய்கிறவனைப்போல் இருக்கவேண்டும்.
27 For which is greater, the guest who is seated at a meal or the servant who is waiting on him? is it not the guest? but I am among you as a servant.
பந்தியில் உட்கார்ந்திருப்பவனா, அல்லது அதில் பணிசெய்கிறவனா, எவன் பெரியவன்? பந்தியில் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறவன் அல்லவா? ஆனால் நானோ, உங்களிடையே பணிசெய்கிறவனைப்போல் இருக்கிறேன்.
28 But you are those who have kept with me through my troubles;
நீங்களே எனது சோதனைகளில் என்னோடுகூட நின்றவர்கள்.
29 And I will give you a kingdom as my Father has given one to me,
என் பிதா எனக்கு ஒரு அரசை ஏற்படுத்தினதுபோல, நானும் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு அரசை ஏற்படுத்துகிறேன்.
30 So that you may take food and drink at my table in my kingdom, and be seated like kings, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
இதனால் நீங்களும் என்னுடைய அரசிலே, பந்தியில் சாப்பிட்டுக் குடிப்பீர்கள். இஸ்ரயேலின் பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரங்களையும் நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறவர்களாய் அரியணையில் உட்காருவீர்கள்.
31 Simon, Simon, Satan has made a request to have you, so that he may put you to the test as grain is tested:
“சீமோனே, சீமோனே, கோதுமையைப் புடைப்பதுபோல் உங்களைப் புடைக்கும்படி, சாத்தான் அனுமதி கேட்டிருக்கிறான்.
32 But I have made prayer for you, that your faith may not go from you: and when you are turned again, make your brothers strong.
ஆனாலும், உன் விசுவாசம் குறைந்து போகாதிருக்க, நான் உனக்காக மன்றாடியிருக்கிறேன். நீ மனந்திரும்பிய பின்பு, உன் சகோதரர்களையும் பெலப்படுத்து” என்றார்.
33 And he said to him, Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death.
அப்பொழுது சீமோன் இயேசுவிடம், “ஆண்டவரே, நான் உம்முடனே சிறைக்குப் போகவும், சாகவும் ஆயத்தமாய் இருக்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
34 And he said, I say to you, Peter, before the cock's second cry today, you will say three times that you have no knowledge of me.
இயேசு அதற்குப் பதிலாக, “பேதுருவே, நான் உனக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், இன்று சேவல் கூவுவதற்கு முன்னதாகவே, என்னை உனக்குத் தெரியாது என்று, நீ மூன்றுமுறை மறுதலிப்பாய்” என்றார்.
35 And he said to them, When I sent you out without money or bag or shoes, were you in need of anything? And they said, Nothing.
பின்பு இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “உங்களை நான் பணப்பையோ, பயணப்பையோ, பாதரட்சைகளோ இல்லாமல் அனுப்பியபோது, உங்களுக்கு ஏதாவது குறைவு ஏற்பட்டதா?” என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவர்கள், “ஒன்றும் குறைவுபடவில்லை” என்றார்கள்.
36 And he said to them, But now, he who has a money-bag, or a bag for food, let him take it: and he who has not, let him give his coat for money and get a sword.
இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “இப்பொழுது, பணப்பை இருந்தால் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். ஒரு பயணப்பையையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். உங்களிடம் வாள் இல்லாவிட்டால், தனது மேலுடையை விற்று, ஒன்றை வாங்கிக்கொள்ளட்டும்.
37 For I say to you that these words will be put into effect in me, And he was numbered among the evil-doers: for what has been said in the Writings about me has an end.
‘அவர் குற்றவாளிகளில் ஒருவராக எண்ணப்பட்டார்’ என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறதே; நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், இது என்னில் நிறைவேற வேண்டும். ஆம், என்னைக்குறித்து எழுதப்பட்டிருப்பது முழுமையாக நிறைவடையப்போகிறது” என்றார்.
38 And they said, Lord, here are two swords. And he said, It is enough.
அப்பொழுது சீடர்கள் இயேசுவிடம், “ஆண்டவரே, எங்களிடம் ஏற்கெனவே இரண்டு வாள்கள் இருக்கின்றன” என்றார்கள். அதற்கு அவர், “அதுபோதும்” என்றார்.
39 And he came out, and went, as his way was, to the Mountain of Olives, and the disciples went with him.
வழக்கம்போல இயேசு ஒலிவமலைக்குச் சென்றார். அவருடைய சீடர்கள் அவரைப் பின்பற்றிச் சென்றார்கள்.
40 And when he came to the place, he said to them, Make a prayer that you may not be put to the test.
அந்த இடத்தைச் சென்றடைந்தபோது, இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் சோதனைக்குட்படாதபடிக்கு மன்றாடுங்கள்” என்றார்.
41 And he went a little distance away from them and, falling on his knees in prayer, he said,
இயேசு அவர்களைவிட்டு, ஒரு கல்லெறி தூரம் விலகிப்போய், முழங்காற்படியிட்டு மன்றாடினார்.
42 Father, if it is your pleasure, take this cup from me: but still, let your pleasure, not mine, be done.
அவர், “பிதாவே, உமக்கு விருப்பமானால், என்னைவிட்டு இந்தப் பாத்திரத்தை எடுத்துவிடும்; ஆனால் என் விருப்பப்படியல்ல, உமது திட்டமே செய்யப்படட்டும்” என்றார்.
43 And an angel from heaven came to him, to give him strength.
பரலோகத்திலிருந்து ஒரு தூதன் அவருக்கு முன்தோன்றி, அவரைப் பெலப்படுத்தினான்.
44 And being in great trouble of soul, the force of his prayer became stronger, and great drops, like blood, came from him, falling to the earth.
அவர் மிகவும் வேதனையடைந்தவராய், ஊக்கத்துடன் மன்றாடினார். அவருடைய வியர்வை, இரத்தத் துளிகளைப்போல தரையில் விழுந்தது.
45 And, getting up from prayer, he came to the disciples, and saw that they were sleeping for sorrow.
இயேசு மன்றாட்டிலிருந்து எழுந்து, தமது சீடர்களிடம் மீண்டும் சென்றார். அப்பொழுது சீடர்கள் கவலையினால் சோர்வுற்று, நித்திரையாய் இருப்பதை அவர் கண்டார்.
46 And he said, Why are you sleeping? Get up, and give yourselves to prayer, so that you may not be put to the test.
இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் ஏன் தூங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்? சோதனைக்குட்படாதபடிக்கு எழுந்திருந்து மன்றாடுங்கள்” என்றார்.
47 And while he was saying these words, there came a band of people, and Judas, one of the twelve, was in front of them, and he came near to Jesus to give him a kiss.
இயேசு இன்னும் பேசிக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், ஆட்கள் கூட்டமாய் வந்தார்கள். பன்னிரண்டு சீடர்களில் ஒருவனான யூதாஸ் என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டவன், அவர்களை வழிநடத்திக் கொண்டுவந்தான். அவன் இயேசுவை முத்தம் செய்வதற்காக, அவருக்குக் சமீபமாய் வந்தான்.
48 But Jesus said to him, Judas, will you be false to the Son of man with a kiss?
இயேசுவோ அவனிடம், “யூதாசே, என்னை முத்தத்தினால் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கிறாயோ?” என்றார்.
49 And when those who were with him saw what was coming, they said, Lord, may we not make use of our swords?
இயேசுவைப் பின்பற்றியவர்கள், நடக்கப்போவதைக் கண்டு, “ஆண்டவரே, நாங்கள் எங்கள் வாளினாலே வெட்டட்டுமா?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
50 And one of them gave a blow to the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.
சீடர்களில் ஒருவன், பிரதான ஆசாரியனின் வேலைக்காரனின் வலது காதை வெட்டினான். அப்பொழுது, அவனது வலது காது வெட்டுண்டது.
51 But Jesus, answering, said, Put up with this, at least. And touching his ear, he made it well.
ஆனால் இயேசுவோ, “போதும், நிறுத்துங்கள்!” என்று சொல்லி, அவனுடைய காதைத் தொட்டு, அவனைக் குணமாக்கினார்.
52 And Jesus said to the chief priests and the captains of the Temple and the rulers, who had come against him, Have you come out as against a thief, with swords and sticks?
அப்பொழுது இயேசு, தம்மைப் பிடிக்கும்படி வந்திருந்த தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களையும், ஆலயகாவலர் அதிகாரிகளையும், யூதரின் தலைவர்களையும் பார்த்து, “நான் ஆபத்தான புரட்சியை உண்டாக்குகிறேனா, அதனாலேயா என்னைப் பிடிப்பதற்கு வாள்களுடனும் தடிகளுடனும் வந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்?
53 When I was in the Temple with you every day, your hands were not stretched out against me: but this is your hour, and the authority of the dark power.
நான் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் ஆலய முற்றத்தில் உட்கார்ந்து போதித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேனே; அப்போது நீங்கள் என்னைப் பிடிக்கவில்லை. ஆனால், இதுவே உங்கள் வேளையாய் இருக்கிறது. இருள் அதிகாரம் செலுத்தும் வேளையே இது” என்றார்.
54 And they made him a prisoner and took him away to the house of the high priest. But Peter went after them at a distance.
அவர்கள் இயேசுவைப் பிடித்து, பிரதான ஆசாரியன் வீட்டிற்குக் கொண்டுசென்றார்கள். பேதுரு சிறிது தூரத்தில் பின்தொடர்ந்து போய்க்கொண்டிருந்தான்.
55 And a fire was lighted in the middle of the open square, and they were seated together, and Peter was among them.
அந்த வீட்டு முற்றத்தின் நடுவில் சிலர் நெருப்புமூட்டி, அதன் அருகே ஒன்றாய் உட்கார்ந்தார்கள். அப்போது பேதுருவும் அவர்களுடன் உட்கார்ந்திருந்தான்.
56 And a certain woman-servant, seeing him in the light of the fire, and looking at him with attention, said, This man was with him.
பேதுரு அங்கே உட்கார்ந்திருப்பதை, ஒரு வேலைக்காரப் பெண் நெருப்பு வெளிச்சத்திலே கண்டாள். அவள் அவனை உற்றுப்பார்த்து, “இவன் இயேசுவோடு இருந்தான்” என்றாள்.
57 But he said, Woman, it is not true; I have no knowledge of him.
ஆனால் பேதுருவோ, “பெண்ணே, அவரை எனக்குத் தெரியாது” என்று மறுதலித்தான்.
58 And after a little time, another saw him and said, You are one of them; and he said, Man, I am not.
சிறிது நேரத்திற்குப் பின்பு, வேறொருவன் பேதுருவைக் கண்டு, “நீயும் அவர்களில் ஒருவன் தான்” என்றான். அதற்குப் பேதுரு, “இல்லையப்பா, நான் அல்ல” என்றான்.
59 And after about an hour, another man said, with decision, Certainly this man was with him, for he is a Galilaean.
ஏறக்குறைய ஒருமணி நேரத்திற்குப் பின்பு இன்னொருவன், “நிச்சயமாகவே, இவனும் இயேசுவுடனே இருந்தான். ஏனெனில் இவன் கலிலேயன்” என்றான்.
60 And Peter said, Man, I have no knowledge of these things of which you are talking. And straight away, while he was saying these words, there came the cry of a cock.
அதற்குப் பேதுரு, “மனிதனே நீ என்னப் பேசுகிறாய் என்றே எனக்குத் தெரியாது” என்றான். அவன் அப்படிச் சொல்லிக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், சேவல் கூவிற்று.
61 And the Lord, turning, gave Peter a look. And the words of the Lord came to Peter's mind, how he had said, This night, before the hour of the cock's cry, you will be false to me three times.
அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் திரும்பி, பேதுருவை நேருக்கு நேராய் பார்த்தார். உடனே, “இன்று சேவல் கூவுவதற்கு முன்னே, நீ என்னை மூன்றுமுறை மறுதலிப்பாய்” என்று கர்த்தர் சொன்ன வார்த்தை, பேதுருவுக்கு ஞாபகம் வந்தது.
62 And he went out, weeping bitterly.
அவன் வெளியே போய் மனங்கசந்து அழுதான்.
63 And the men in whose hands Jesus was, made sport of him and gave him blows.
இயேசுவைக் காவல் செய்துகொண்டிருந்தவர்கள், அவரை ஏளனம் செய்யவும், அடிக்கவும் தொடங்கினார்கள்.
64 And, covering his eyes, they said to him, Are you prophet enough to say who gave you that blow?
அவர்கள் இயேசுவினுடைய கண்களைக் கட்டிவிட்டு, “உன்னை அடித்தது யார் என்று, ஞானதிருஷ்டியினால் சொல்” என்று வற்புறுத்திக் கேட்டார்கள்.
65 And they said a number of other evil things against him.
அவர்கள் இன்னும் அதிகமாய் ஏளனம் செய்தார்கள்.
66 And when it was day, the rulers of the people came together, with the chief priests and the scribes, and they took him before their Sanhedrin, saying,
பொழுது விடிந்தபோது, யூதரின் தலைவர்களின் குழுவும், தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களும், மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்களும் ஒன்றாய் கூடிவந்தார்கள். இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்திற்குக்கொண்டு வரப்பட்டார்.
67 If you are the Christ, say so. But he said, If I say so you will not have belief;
அவர்கள் இயேசுவிடம், “நீ கிறிஸ்துதான் என்றால், அதை எங்களுக்குச் சொல்” என்றார்கள். இயேசு அதற்குப் பதிலாக, நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னாலும், நீங்கள் அதை விசுவாசிக்கமாட்டீர்கள்.
68 And if I put a question to you, you will not give an answer.
நான் உங்களிடம் கேள்வி கேட்டாலும், நீங்கள் அதற்குப் பதில் சொல்லமாட்டீர்கள்.
69 But in the future the Son of man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.
ஆனால் இப்போதிலிருந்தே, வல்லமையுள்ள இறைவனுடைய வலதுபக்கத்தில் மானிடமகனாகிய நான் அமர்ந்திருப்பேன் என்றார்.
70 And they all said, Are you then the Son of God? and he said, You say that I am.
அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் இயேசுவிடம், “அப்படியானால், நீ இறைவனின் மகனோ?” என்று கேட்டார்கள். அதற்கு அவர் பதிலாக, “நான் அவர்தான் என்று நீங்களே சொல்லுகிறீர்களே” என்றார்.
71 And they said, What more need have we of witness? we have the very words of his mouth.
அப்பொழுது அவர்கள், “இனியும் நமக்குச் சாட்சி தேவையா? அவனுடைய வாயிலிருந்தே அதை நாம் கேட்டோமே” என்றார்கள்.
