< Leviticus 14 >

1 And the Lord said to Moses,
Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose sɛ,
2 This is the law of the leper on the day when he is made clean: he is to be taken to the priest;
“Ɛda a wɔbɛdwira ɔkwatani ho no, ɛho mmara nie: Wɔde no bɛkɔ akɔma ɔsɔfoɔ,
3 And the priest is to go outside the tent-circle; and if, after looking, the priest sees that the mark of the disease has gone from him,
na ɔsɔfoɔ no ahwɛ no wɔ sraban no akyi. Na sɛ ɔsɔfoɔ no hunu sɛ kwata no agyae a,
4 Then the priest is to give orders to take, for him who is to be made clean, two living clean birds and some cedar wood and red thread and hyssop.
ɔbɛbisa nnomaa mmienu bi a wɔwe, na afei wɔde ntweneduro, koogyan ahoma ne hisope mman a wɔde bɛyɛ ahodwira ahyɛdeɛ ama ɔkwatani no abrɛ no.
5 And the priest will give orders for one of the birds to be put to death in a vessel made of earth, over flowing water.
Ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛka ama wɔakum nnomaa no mu baako wɔ ayowaa a nsuo wɔ mu so.
6 And he will take the living bird and the wood and the red thread and the hyssop and put them in the blood of the bird which was put to death over flowing water.
Na anomaa a wɔnnya nkum no no nso, wɔde ɔno ne ntweneduro no ne koogyan ahoma no ne hisope mman no bɛhyɛ anomaa a wɔkumm no no mogya no mu.
7 And shaking it seven times over the man who is to be made clean, he will say that he is clean and will let the living bird go free into the open country.
Na ɔsɔfoɔ no apete mogya no agu ɔkwatani a ne ho afiri no so mprɛnson, na wapae mu aka sɛ ne ho ate na wagyaa anomaa a wɔnkum no no.
8 And he who is to be made clean will have his clothing washed and his hair cut and have a bath, and he will be clean. And after that he will come back to the tent-circle; but he is to keep outside his tent for seven days.
“Na ɔyarefoɔ a ne ho atɔ no no bɛsi ne ntoma nyinaa. Ɔbɛyi ne ho nwi nyinaa nso. Ɔbɛdware na wasane abɛtena baabi a kane no na ɔte hɔ bio; nanso ɛsɛ sɛ ɔtena ne ntomadan akyi nnanson.
9 And on the seventh day he is to have all the hair cut off his head and his chin and over his eyes — all his hair is to be cut off — and he will have his clothing washed and his body bathed in water and he will be clean.
Nnanson no so no, ɔbɛyi ne ho nwi nyinaa bio, ɔbɛyi nʼabɔgyesɛ ayi nʼanintɔn nwi na wayi ne ho nwi a aka nyinaa, na wadware, na afei wɔapae mu aka sɛ ne ho ate.
10 And on the eighth day let him take two male lambs, without any marks on them, and one female lamb of the first year, without a mark, and three tenth parts of an ephah of the best meal, mixed with oil, and one log of oil.
“Ɛda a ɛdi so a ɛyɛ nnawɔtwe so no, ɔbɛfa nnwammaa anini mmienu a wɔn ho nni dɛm ne odwammaa bereɛ baako a ɔno nso ho nni dɛm, asikyiresiam muhumuhu lita nsia a wɔde ngo afra ne ngo a wɔmfa mfraa hwee lita fa.
11 And the priest who is making him clean will put the man who is being made clean, together with these things, before the door of the Tent of meeting.
Afei ɔsɔfoɔ a ɔbɛhwehwɛ ɔyarefoɔ no ho ahwɛ sɛ ne ho atɔ no no de onipa no ne nʼafɔrebɔdeɛ bɛba Awurade anim wɔ Ahyiaeɛ Ntomadan no ano.
12 And the priest is to take one of the male lambs and give it as an offering for wrongdoing, and the log of oil, waving them for a wave offering before the Lord;
“Ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛfa nnwammaa no baako ne ngotoa baako no na ɔde ama Awurade sɛ ɛfɔdie afɔrebɔ a wɔhim no wɔ afɔrebukyia no anim.
13 And he is to put the male lamb to death in the place where they put to death the sin-offering and the burned offering, in the holy place; for as the sin-offering is the property of the priest, so is the offering for wrongdoing: it is most holy.
Afei, wɔbɛkum odwammaa no wɔ beaeɛ a wɔbɔ bɔne ne ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ no wɔ kronkronbea hɔ. Wɔde saa afɔdie afɔrebɔdeɛ yi bɛma ɔsɔfoɔ no sɛdeɛ wɔyɛ no bɔne afɔrebɔ mu no ara pɛ. Ɛyɛ afɔrebɔ a ɛyɛ kronkron ankasa.
14 And let the priest take some of the blood of the offering for wrongdoing and put it on the point of the right ear of him who is to be made clean, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot;
Ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛfa saa ɛfɔdie afɔrebɔdeɛ mogya na ɔde akeka ɔyarefoɔ a wɔrete ne ho no aso nifa ase ne ne nsa nifa kokurobetie ne ne nan nifa kokurobetie.
15 And take some of the oil and put it in the hollow of his left hand;
Afei, ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛfa ngo no bi ahwie agu ne nsa benkum mu
16 And let the priest put his right finger in the oil which is in his left hand, shaking it out with his finger seven times before the Lord;
na ɔde ne nsa nifa abɔ mu, na watu apete mprɛnson wɔ Awurade anim.
17 And of the rest of the oil which is in his hand, the priest will put some on the point of the right ear of the man who is to be made clean, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot, over the blood of the offering for wrongdoing;
Ngo no a ɛbɛka ne nsa benkum mu no, ɔsɔfoɔ no de bɛka onipa no aso nifa ase ne ne nsa nifa kokurobetie ne ne nan nifa kokurobetie sɛdeɛ ɔde ɛfɔdie mogya yɛeɛ wɔ ɛfɔdie afɔrebɔ no mu no ara pɛ.
18 And the rest of the oil in the priest's hand he will put on the head of him who is to be made clean; and so the priest will make him free from sin before the Lord.
Ɔde ngo no nkaeɛ a ɛwɔ ne nsam no bɛfɔ ɔbarima no tiri ho. Yei bɛkyerɛ sɛ, ɔsɔfoɔ no de ne ho ayɛ mpatadeɛ ama onipa no wɔ Awurade anim.
19 And the priest will give the sin-offering, and take away the sin of him who is to be made clean from his unclean condition; and after that he will put the burned offering to death.
“Afei, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔsɔfoɔ no bɔ bɔne afɔdeɛ na ɔsane yɛ mpatadeɛ ho adeɛ ma onipa a wɔrehohoro ne ho afiri ne kwata mu no ho; ɛno akyi, ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛkum ɔhyeɛ afɔrebɔdeɛ no
20 And the priest is to have the burned offering and the meal offering burned on the altar; and the priest will take away his sin and he will be clean.
na ɔde abɔ ɛne atokoɔ afɔdeɛ wɔ afɔrebukyia no so de ayɛ mpatadeɛ ama ɔbarima no na afei, wapae mu aka sɛ ne ho afiri.
21 And if he is poor and not able to get so much, then he may take one male lamb as an offering for wrongdoing, to be waved to take away his sin, and one tenth part of an ephah of the best meal mixed with oil for a meal offering, and a log of oil;
“Sɛ ɔyɛ ohiani a ɔrentumi ntɔ nnwammaa mmienu no a, ɛnneɛ, ɔde odwammaanini baako bɛbɔ ɛfɔdie afɔdeɛ no de ama Awurade sɛ mpatadeɛ a wɔhim no afɔrebukyia no anim; na wɔde asikyiresiam fitaa muhumuhu lita mmienu ne fa a wɔde ngo afra de abɔ atokoɔ afɔdeɛ no a ngo akɔtoa ka ho.
22 And two doves or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and one will be for a sin-offering and the other for a burned offering.
Ɛno akyi, ɔde mmorɔnoma mmienu anaa nturukuku mma mmienu mu biara a ɔbɛnya no mu baako bɛbɔ bɔne afɔdeɛ na ɔde baako a ɔbɛka no nso abɔ ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ.
23 And on the eighth day he will take them to the priest, to the door of the Tent of meeting before the Lord, so that he may be made clean.
“Ɛda a ɛtɔ so nnwɔtwe no, ɔde ne nyinaa bɛkɔ akɔma ɔsɔfoɔ no wɔ Ahyiaeɛ Ntomadan no ano na ɔsɔfoɔ no de adwira no wɔ Awurade anim.
24 And the priest will take the lamb of the offering for wrongdoing and the oil, waving them for a wave offering before the Lord;
Ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛfa odwammaa no de abɔ ɛfɔdie afɔdeɛ. Ɔde ngo toa ma bɛka ho na wahim no afɔrebukyia no anim de akyerɛ sɛ, wɔde rema Awurade.
25 And he will put to death the lamb of the offering for wrongdoing and the priest will take some of the blood of the offering for wrongdoing and put it on the point of the right ear of him who is to be made clean, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot;
Afei, wɔbɛkum odwammaa no de no abɔ ɛfɔdie afɔdeɛ na ɔde ne mogya no bi akeka ɔbarima a wɔredwira no no aso nifa ase. Ɔde mogya no bi bɛka ne nsa nifa kokurobetie ne ne nan nifa kokurobetie.
26 And the priest will put out some of the oil in the hollow of his left hand,
Ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛhwie ngo agu ɔno ara ne nsa benkum mu
27 Shaking out drops of oil with his right finger before the Lord seven times:
na ɔde ne nsateaa nifa abɔ mu apete bi mprɛnson wɔ Awurade anim.
28 And the priest will put some of the oil which is in his hand on the point of the ear of the man who is to be made clean and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place where the blood of the offering for wrongdoing was put;
Na ɛsɛ sɛ ɔde ngo a ɛwɔ ne nsam no bi ka ɔbarima no aso nifa ase ne ne nsa nifa kokurobetie ne ne nan nifa kokurobetie sɛdeɛ ɔyɛɛ mogya no ɛberɛ a ɔrebɔ ɛfɔdie afɔdeɛ no.
29 And the rest of the oil which is in the priest's hand he will put on the head of him who is to be made clean, to take away his sin before the Lord.
Ngo no a ɛbɛka wɔ ne nsam no, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔde fɔ ɔbarima a wɔredwira no no tiri ho de yɛ mpatadeɛ wɔ Awurade anim.
30 And he will make an offering of one of the doves or the young pigeons, such as he is able to get;
Afei, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔde nturukuku mmienu anaa mmorɔnoma mmienu no mu biara a ɔtumi tɔeɛ no ba.
31 And of these, he will give one for a sin-offering and one for a burned offering, with the meal offering; and the priest will take away the sin of him who is to be made clean before the Lord.
Wɔde mmienu a ɔnyaeɛ no mu baako bɛbɔ bɔne afɔdeɛ na baako a aka no, ɔde abɔ ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ a saa ɛberɛ no ara mu wɔbɛbɔ atokoɔ afɔdeɛ nso, na ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛyɛ mpatadeɛ ama ɔbarima no wɔ Awurade anim.”
32 This is the law for the man who has the disease of the leper on him, and who is not able to get that which is necessary for making himself clean.
Yeinom ne mmara a ɛfa wɔn a wɔte wɔn ho ma wɔn ho fi kwata mu nanso wɔntumi mfa afɔrebɔdeɛ a ɛho hia no nyinaa mma no.
33 And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,
Afei, Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Mose ne Aaron sɛ,
34 When you have come into the land of Canaan which I will give you for your heritage, if I put the leper's disease on a house in the land of your heritage,
“Sɛ moduru Kanaan asase a mede ama mo no so, na sɛ mede kwata kɔ afie bi mu a,
35 Then let the owner of the house come and say to the priest, It seems to me that there is a sort of leper's disease in the house.
ɛnneɛ, efiewura no nyi ne ho adi nkyerɛ ɔsɔfoɔ no na ɔnka sɛ, ‘Ɛyɛ me sɛ kwata wɔ me fie ha!’
36 And the priest will give orders for everything to be taken out of the house, before he goes in to see the disease, so that the things in the house may not become unclean; and then the priest is to go in to see the house;
Ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛhyɛ ama wɔatu efie hɔ nneɛma nyinaa ansa na wahwɛ hɔ sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, sɛ ɔka sɛ kwata wɔ fie hɔ a, ɛrengu biribi foforɔ ho fi wɔ hɔ.
37 And if he sees that the walls of the house are marked with hollows of green and red, and if it seems to go deeper than the face of the wall;
Sɛ ɔhunu nsensaneɛ ahahammono anaa kɔkɔɔ wɔ efie no afasuo ho a anonom kɔ afasuo no mu a,
38 Then the priest will go out of the door of the house, and keep the house shut up for seven days:
ɔbɛto efie no mu nnanson
39 And the priest is to come again on the seventh day and have a look and see if the marks on the walls of the house are increased in size;
na ne nnanson so no, wasane aba bio abɛhwɛ. Na sɛ nsensaneɛ awurawura afasuo no mu a,
40 Then the priest will give orders to them to take out the stones in which the disease is seen, and put them out into an unclean place outside the town:
ɛnneɛ, ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛhyɛ ama wɔawerɛwerɛ nsisiiɛ no afiri hɔ na wɔato nwerɛwerɛeɛ no agu baabi a ɛhɔ ho nte wɔ kuro no akyi baabi.
41 And he will have the house rubbed all over inside, and the paste which is rubbed off will be put out into an unclean place outside the town:
Afei, ɔbɛhyɛ ama afasuo a ɛwɔ efie no mu no, wɔawerɛwerɛ no yie na wɔato nwerɛwerɛeɛ no agu baabi a ɛhɔ nte wɔ kuro no akyi baabi.
42 And they will take other stones and put them in place of those stones, and he will take other paste and put it on the walls of the house.
Na wɔde aboɔ foforɔ bi abɛhyɛ deɛ wɔwerɛwerɛeɛ no anan na wɔde dɔteɛ foforɔ asra efie no ho.
43 And if the disease comes out again in the house after he has taken out the stones and after the walls have been rubbed and the new paste put on,
“Na sɛ nsisiiɛ no ba bio a,
44 Then the priest will come and see it; and if the disease in the house is increased in size, it is the leper's disease working out in the house: it is unclean.
ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛba bio abɛhwɛ na sɛ ɔhunu sɛ nsisiiɛ no atrɛtrɛ a, na ɛyɛ kwata na ɛkyerɛ sɛ efie no ho nte.
45 And the house will have to be pulled down, the stones of it and the wood and the paste; and everything is to be taken out to an unclean place outside the town.
Sɛ ɛba saa a, ɔbɛhyɛ ama wɔabubu efie no agu. Wɔbɛtwe mmubuiɛ no mu aboɔ, nnua ne dɔteɛ no nyinaa afiri kuro no mu de akɔgu kuro no akyi baabi a ɛhɔ ho nte.
46 And, in addition, anyone who goes into the house at any time, while it is shut up, will be unclean till evening.
“Obiara a ɔbɛwura efie a wɔato mu no mu no ho nte kɔsi anwummerɛ.
47 And anyone who has been sleeping in the house will have to have his clothing washed; and anyone who takes food in that house will have to have his clothing washed.
Na obiara a ɔbɛda hɔ anaa ɔbɛdidi wɔ efie hɔ no bɛsi ne nneɛma nyinaa.
48 And if the priest comes in, and sees that the disease is not increased after the new paste has been put on the house, then the priest will say that the house is clean, because the disease is gone.
“Na sɛ wɔsra efie no ho bio na ɔsɔfoɔ no bɛhwɛ na nsisiiɛ no mmaa bio a, ɔbɛpae mu aka sɛ wɔate efie no ho na kwata no nso kɔ.
49 And in order to make the house clean, let him take two birds and cedar-wood and red thread and hyssop;
Ɔbɛdi efie no ahodwira ho dwuma. Ɔde nnomaa mmienu, sida dua, asaawa kɔkɔɔ ne hisope mman na ɛbɛdi saa dwuma no.
50 And put one of the birds to death in a vessel of earth over flowing water;
Ɔbɛkum nnomaa no baako wɔ nsu pa a ɛwɔ ayowaa mu so,
51 And take the cedar-wood and the hyssop and the red thread and the living bird and put them in the blood of the dead bird and in the flowing water, shaking it over the house seven times.
na ɔde sida dua no ne hisope mman ne ahoma kɔkɔɔ ne anomaa a wɔnkum no no anu anomaa a wakum no nsu pa no so no mogya mu na wɔde apete efie no mprɛnson.
52 And he will make the house clean with the blood of the bird and the flowing water and with the living bird and with the cedar-wood and the hyssop and the red thread.
Wɔyɛ yei de te efie no ho.
53 But he will let the living bird go out of the town into the open country; so he will take away sin from the house and it will be clean.
Afei, ɔbɛgyae anomaa a ɔnwuiɛ no ama watu akɔ kuro no akyi baabi. Yei ne ɛkwan a wɔfa so de yɛ mpatadeɛ de ma efie sane de dwira ho no.”
54 This is the law for all signs of the leper's disease and for skin diseases;
Yeinom ne mmara a ɛfa mmeammea a kwata ba hɔ ho.
55 And for signs of disease in clothing, or in a house;
Sɛ ɛyɛ atadeɛ mu anaa efie mu,
56 And for a growth or a bad place or a bright mark on the skin;
anaa honam ani nhonhonoeɛ, anaa ɔhyehyeɛ mu mpumpunnya anaa honam ani baabi a ɛhɔ ayɛ hyɛnn.
57 To make clear when it is unclean and when it is clean: this is the law about the disease of the leper.
Saa ɛkwan yi so na wɔbɛfa ahunu sɛ ɛyɛ kwata anaa ɛnyɛ kwata. Yei enti na wɔhyɛɛ saa mmara yi.
