Joshua 18
1 And all the meeting of the children of Israel came together at Shiloh and put up the Tent of meeting there: and the land was crushed before them.
E toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel se ajuntou em Silo, e ali armaram a tenda da congregação, depois que a terra foi sujeita diante d'elles.
2 But there were still seven tribes among the children of Israel who had not taken up their heritage.
E d'entre os filhos de Israel ficaram sete tribus que ainda não tinham repartido a sua herança.
3 Then Joshua said to the children of Israel, Why are you so slow to go in and take up your heritage in the land which the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you?
E disse Josué aos filhos de Israel: Até quando sereis negligentes a passardes para possuir a terra que o Senhor Deus de vossos paes vos deu?
4 Take from among you three men from every tribe; and I will send them to go through the land and make a record of it for distribution as their heritage; then let them come back to me.
De cada tribu escolhei vós tres homens, para que eu os envie, e se levantem, e corram a terra, e a descrevam segundo as suas heranças, e se tornem a mim.
5 And let them make division of it into seven parts: let Judah keep inside his limit on the south, and let the children of Joseph keep inside their limit on the north.
E a repartirão em sete partes: Judah ficará no seu termo para o sul, e a casa de José ficará no seu termo para o norte.
6 And you are to have the land marked out in seven parts, and come back to me with the record; and I will make the distribution for you here by the decision of the Lord our God.
E vós descrevereis a terra em sete partes, e m'a trareis a mim aqui descripta: para que eu aqui lance as sortes perante o Senhor nosso Deus.
7 For the Levites have no part among you; to be the Lord's priests is their heritage; and Gad and Reuben and the half-tribe of Manasseh have had their heritage on the east side of Jordan, given to them by Moses, the servant of the Lord.
Porquanto os levitas não teem parte no meio de vós, porém o sacerdocio do Senhor é a sua parte: e Gad, e Ruben e a meia tribu de Manasseh tomaram a sua herança d'além do Jordão para o oriente, a qual lhes deu Moysés, o servo do Senhor.
8 So the men got up and went; and Joshua gave orders to those who went, to make a record of the land, saying, Go up and down through the land, and make a record of it and come back here to me, and I will make the distribution for you here by the decision of the Lord in Shiloh.
Então aquelles homens se levantaram, e se foram: e Josué deu ordem aos que iam descrever a terra, dizendo: Ide, e correi a terra, e descrevei-a, e então tornae a mim, e aqui vos lançarei as sortes perante o Senhor, em Silo.
9 So the men went, travelling through the land, and made a record of it by towns in seven parts in a book, and came back to Joshua to the tent-circle at Shiloh.
Foram pois aquelles homens, e passaram pela terra, e a descreveram, segundo as cidades, em sete partes, n'um livro: e voltaram a Josué, ao arraial em Silo.
10 And Joshua made the distribution for them in Shiloh by the decision of the Lord, marking out the land for the children of Israel by their divisions.
Então Josué lhes lançou as sortes, em Silo, perante o Senhor; e ali repartiu Josué a terra aos filhos de Israel, conforme ás suas divisões.
11 And the first heritage came out for the tribe of Benjamin by their families: and the limit of their heritage went between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.
E subiu a sorte da tribu dos filhos de Benjamin, segundo as suas familias: e saiu o termo da sua sorte entre os filhos de Judah e os filhos de José.
12 And their limit on the north was from the Jordan, and the line goes up to the side of Jericho on the north and through the hill-country to the west, ending at the waste land of Beth-aven.
E o seu termo foi para a banda do norte, desde o Jordão: e sobe este termo ao lado de Jericó para o norte, e sobe pela montanha para o occidente, sendo as suas saidas no deserto de Beth-aven.
13 And from there the line goes south to Luz, to the side of Luz (which is Beth-el), then down to Ataroth-addar, by the mountain to the south of Beth-horon the lower.
E d'ali passa este termo a Luza, ao lado de Luza (que é Beth-el) para o sul: e desce este termo a Ataroth-adar, ao pé do monte que está da banda do sul de Beth-horon a baixa.
14 And the limit is marked as coming round to the south on the west side from the mountain which is south of Beth-horon, and ending at Kiriath-baal (which is Kiriath-jearim), a town of the children of Judah: this is the west part.
E vae este termo e torna á banda do occidente para o sul do monte que está defronte de Beth-horon, para o sul, e as suas saidas vão para Kiriath-baal (que é Kiriath-jearim), cidade dos filhos de Judah: esta é a sua extensão para o occidente.
15 And the south part is from the farthest point of Kiriath-jearim, and the line goes out to the west to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah:
E a sua extensão para o sul está á extremidade de Kiriath-jearim: e sae este termo ao occidente, e vem a sair á fonte das aguas de Nephtoah.
16 And the line goes down to the farthest part of the mountain facing the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is on the north of the valley of Rephaim: from there it goes down to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite on the south as far as En-rogel;
E desce este termo até á extremidade do monte que está defronte do valle do filho de Hinnom, que está no valle dos rephains, para o norte, e desce pelo valle de Hinnom da banda dos jebuseos para o sul; e então desce á fonte de Rogel
17 And it goes to En-shemesh and on to Geliloth, opposite the way up to Adummim, and it goes down to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben;
E vae desde o norte, e sae a En-semes; e d'ali sae a Geliloth, que está defronte da subida de Adummim, e desce á pedra de Bohan, filho de Ruben;
18 And it goes on to the side facing the Arabah to the north, and down to the Arabah;
E passa até ao lado defronte d'Araba para o norte, e desce a Araba;
19 And on to the north side of Beth-hoglah, ending at the north inlet of the Salt Sea at the south end of Jordan; this is their limit on the south.
Passa mais este termo até ao lado de Beth-hogla para o norte, estando as saidas d'este termo na lingua do mar salgado para o norte, na extremidade do Jordão para o sul: este é o termo do sul.
20 And the limit of the east part is the Jordan. This is the heritage of the children of Benjamin, marked out for their families by these limits on all sides.
E termina o Jordão da banda do oriente: esta é a herança dos filhos de Benjamin, nos seus termos em redor, segundo as suas familias.
21 And the towns of the children of Benjamin, given to them in the order of their families, are Jericho and Beth-hoglah and Emek-kezziz
E as cidades da tribu dos filhos de Benjamin, segundo as suas familias, são: Jericó, e Beth-hogla, e Emekkesis,
22 And Beth-arabah and Zemaraim and Beth-el
E Beth-araba, e Semaraim, e Beth-el,
23 And Avvim and Parah and Ophrah
E Havvim, e Para, e Ophra,
24 And Chephar-Ammoni and Ophni and Geba; twelve towns with their unwalled places;
E Chephar-haammonai, e Ophni, e Gaba: doze cidades e as suas aldeias:
25 Gibeon and Ramah and Beeroth
Gibeon, e Rama, e Beeroth,
26 And Mizpeh and Chephirah and Mozah
E Mispah, e Chephira, e Mosa,
27 And Rekem and Irpeel and Taralah
E Rekem, e Irpeel, e Tharala,
28 And Zela, Eleph and the Jebusite (which is Jerusalem), Gibeath and Kiriath; fourteen towns with their unwalled places. This is the heritage of the children of Benjamin by their families.
E Sela, Eleph, e Jebusi (esta é Jerusalem), Gibeath e Kiriath: quatorze cidades com as suas aldeias: esta é a herança dos filhos de Benjamin, segundo as suas familias.
