Joshua 15

1 Now the part of the land marked out for the children of Judah by families, went up to the edge of Edom, as far as the waste land of Zin to the south, to the farthest point of it on the south.

E foi a sorte da tribo dos filhos de Judá, por suas famílias, junto ao termo de Edom, do deserto de Zim ao sul, ao lado do sul.

2 Their south limit was from the farthest part of the Salt Sea, from the inlet looking to the south:

E seu termo da parte do sul foi desde a costa do mar Salgado, desde a baía que está voltada ao sul;

3 From there it goes south of the slope up to Akrabbim, and on to Zin, then south past Kadesh-barnea, and on by Hezron and up to Addar, turning in the direction of Karka:

E saía até o sul à subida de Acrabim, passando até Zim; e subindo pelo sul até Cades-Barneia, passava a Hebrom, e subindo por Adar dava volta a Carca;

4 Then on to Azmon, ending at the stream of Egypt: and the end of the limit is at the sea; this will be your limit on the south.

De ali passava a Azmom, e saía ao ribeiro do Egito; e sai este termo ao ocidente. Este pois vos será o termo do sul.

5 And the east limit is the Salt Sea as far as the end of Jordan. And the limit of the north part of the land is from the inlet of the sea at the end of Jordan:

O termo do oriente é o mar Salgado até o fim do Jordão. E o termo da parte do norte, desde a baía do mar, desde o fim do Jordão:

6 Then the line goes up to Beth-hoglah, past the north of Beth-arabah, and up to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben;

E sobe este termo por Bete-Hogla, e passa do norte a Bete-Arabá, e daqui sobe este termo à pedra de Boã, filho de Rúben.

7 Then the line goes up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so to the north, in the direction of Gilgal, which is opposite the slope up to Adummim, on the south side of the river: and the line goes on to the waters of En-shemesh, ending at En-rogel:

E torna a subir este termo a Debir desde o vale de Acor: e ao norte olha sobre Gilgal, que está diante da subida de Adumim, a qual está ao sul do ribeiro: e passa este termo às águas de En-Semes, e sai à fonte de Rogel:

8 Then the line goes up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the south side of the Jebusite (which is Jerusalem): then up to the top of the mountain in front of the valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the farthest point of the valley of Rephaim on the north:

E sobe este termo pelo vale do filho de Hinom ao lado dos jebuseus ao sul: esta é Jerusalém. Logo sobe este termo pelo cume do monte que está diante do vale de Hinom até o ocidente, o qual está ao fim do vale dos gigantes ao norte;

9 And the limit is marked out from the top of the mountain to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and out to the towns of Mount Ephron, as far as Baalah (which is Kiriath-jearim):

E rodeia este termo desde o cume do monte até a fonte das águas de Neftoa, e sai às cidades do monte de Efrom, rodeando logo o mesmo termo a Baalá, a qual é Quriate-Jearim.

10 Then turning west, the line goes from Baalah to Mount Seir, and on to the side of Mount Jearim (which is Chesalon) on the north, then down to Beth-shemesh, and on past Timnah:

Depois torna este termo desde Baalá até o ocidente ao monte de Seir: e passa ao lado do monte de Jearim até o norte, esta é Quesalom, e desce a Bete-Semes, e passa a Timna.

11 And out to the side of Ekron to the north: then it is marked out to Shikkeron and on to Mount Baalah, ending at Jabneel; the end of the line is at the sea.

Sai logo este termo ao lado de Ecrom até o norte; e rodeia o mesmo termo a Sicrom, e passa pelo monte de Baalá, e sai a Jabneel: e sai este termo ao mar.

12 And the limit on the west is the edge of the Great Sea. This is the line going round the land marked out for the children of Judah, by their families.

O termo do ocidente é o mar grande. Este, pois, é o termo dos filhos de Judá em derredor, por suas famílias.

13 And to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a part among the children of Judah, as the Lord had given orders to Joshua, that is, Kiriath-arba, named after Arba, the father of Anak which is Hebron.

Mas a Calebe, filho de Jefoné, deu parte entre os filhos de Judá, conforme o mandamento do SENHOR a Josué: isto é, a Quiriate-Arba, do pai de Anaque, que é Hebrom.

14 And the three sons of Anak, Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak, were forced out from there by Caleb.

E Calebe expulsou dali três filhos de Anaque, a Sesai, Aimã, e Talmai, filhos de Anaque.

15 From there he went up against the people of Debir: (now the name of Debir before that was Kiriath-sepher.)

De aqui subiu aos que moravam em Debir: e o nome de Debir era antes Quiriate-Sefer.

16 And Caleb said, I will give Achsah, my daughter, as wife to the man who overcomes Kiriath-sepher and takes it.

E disse Calebe: Ao que ferir a Quiriate-Sefer, e a tomar, eu lhe darei a minha filha Acsa por mulher.

17 And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's brother, took it: so he gave him his daughter Achsah for his wife.

E tomou-a Otniel, filho de Quenaz, irmão de Calebe; e ele lhe deu por mulher a sua filha Acsa.

18 Now when she came to him, he put into her mind the idea of requesting a field from her father: and she got down from her ass; and Caleb said to her, What is it?

E aconteceu que quando a levava, ele a persuadiu que pedisse a seu pai terras para lavrar. Ela então desceu do asno. E Calebe lhe disse: Que tens?

19 And she said, Give me a blessing; because you have put me in dry south-land, now give me springs of water. So he gave her the higher spring and the lower spring.

E ela respondeu: Dá-me bênção; pois me deste terra de secura, dá-me também fontes de águas. Ele então lhe deu as fontes de acima, e as de abaixo.

20 This is the heritage of the tribe of Judah, by their families.

Esta, pois é a herança das tribos dos filhos de Judá por suas famílias.

21 The farthest towns of the tribe of Judah in the direction of the limits of Edom to the south, were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;

E foram as cidades do termo da tribo dos filhos de Judá até o termo de Edom ao sul: Cabzeel, e Éder, e Jagur,

22 And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;

E Quiná, e Dimona, e Adada,

23 And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;

E Quedes, e Hazor, e Itnã,

24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth;

Zife, e Telém, Bealote,

25 And Hazor-hadattah, and Kerioth-hezron (which is Hazor);

E Hazor-Hadata, e Queriote-Hezrom, que é Hazor,

26 Amam, and Shema, and Moladah;

Amã, e Sema, e Moladá,

27 And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet;

E Hazar-Gada, e Hesmom, e Bete-Pelete,

28 And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah;

E Hazar-Sual, Berseba, e Biziotiá,

29 Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem;

Baalá, e Iim, e Azém,

30 And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah;

31 And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah;

E Ziclague, e Madmana, Sansana,

32 And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the towns are twenty-nine, with their unwalled places.

E Lebaote, Silim, e Aim, e Rimom; em todas vinte e nove cidades com suas aldeias.

33 In the lowland, Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;

Nas planícies, Estaol, e Zorá, e Asná,

34 And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;

E Zanoa, e En-Ganim, Tapua, e Enã,

35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;

Jeremote, e Adulão, Socó, e Azeca,

36 And Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen towns with their unwalled places.

E Saaraim, e Aditaim, e Gederá, e Gederotaim; catorze cidades com suas aldeias.

37 Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad;

Zenã, e Hadasa, e Migdal-Gade,

38 And Dilan, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel;

E Dileã, e Mispá, e Jocteel,

39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon;

Laquis, e Bozcate, e Eglom,

40 And Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish;

E Cabom, e Laamás, e Quitilis,

41 And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen towns with their unwalled places.

E Gederote, Bete-Dagom, e Naamá, e Maquedá; dezesseis cidades com suas aldeias.

42 Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan;

Libna, e Eter, e Asã,

43 And Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib;

E Iftá, e Asná, e Nezibe,

44 And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine towns with their unwalled places.

E Queila, e Aczibe, e Maressa; nove cidades com suas aldeias.

45 Ekron, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places;

Ecrom com suas vilas e suas aldeias:

46 From Ekron to the sea, all the towns by the side of Ashdod, with their unwalled places.

Desde Ecrom até o mar, todas as que estão à costa de Asdode com suas aldeias.

47 Ashdod, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places; Gaza, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places, to the stream of Egypt, with the Great Sea as a limit.

Asdode com suas vilas e suas aldeias: Gaza com suas vilas e suas aldeias até o rio do Egito, e o grande mar com seus termos.

48 And in the hill-country, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh;

E nas montanhas, Samir, e Jatir, e Sucote,

49 And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah (which is Debir);

E Dana, e Quiriate-Saná, que é Debir,

50 And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim;

E Anabe, e Estemo, e Anim,

51 And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven towns with their unwalled places.

E Gósen, e Holom, e Gilo; onze cidades com suas aldeias.

52 Arab, and Dumah, and Eshan;

Arabe, e Dumá, e Esã,

53 And Janim, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah;

E Janim, e Bete-Tapua, e Afeca,

54 And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba (which is Hebron), and Zior; nine towns with their unwalled places.

55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Jutah;

56 And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah;

57 Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten towns with their unwalled places.

Caim, Gibeá, e Timna; dez cidades com suas aldeias.

58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor;

Halul, e Bete-Zur, e Gedor,

59 And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six towns with their unwalled places.

E Maarate, e Bete-Anote, e Eltecom; seis cidades com suas aldeias.

60 Kiriath-baal (which is Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah; two towns with their unwalled places.

Quriate-Baal, que é Quriate-Jearim, e Rabá; duas cidades com suas aldeias.

61 In the waste land, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;

No deserto, Bete-Arabá, Midim, e Secacá,

62 And Nibshan, and the Town of Salt, and En-gedi; six towns with their unwalled places.

E Nibsã, e a cidade do sal, e En-Gedi; seis cidades com suas aldeias.

63 And as for the Jebusites living in Jerusalem, the children of Judah were unable to make them go out; but the Jebusites are living with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, to this day.

Mas aos jebuseus que habitavam em Jerusalém, os filhos de Judá não os puderam desarraigar; antes restaram os jebuseus em Jerusalém com os filhos de Judá, até hoje.
