Job 23
1 And Job made answer and said,
१तब अय्यूब ने कहा,
2 Even today my outcry is bitter; his hand is hard on my sorrow.
२“मेरी कुड़कुड़ाहट अब भी नहीं रुक सकती, मेरे कष्ट मेरे कराहने से भारी है।
3 If only I had knowledge of where he might be seen, so that I might come even to his seat!
३भला होता, कि मैं जानता कि वह कहाँ मिल सकता है, तब मैं उसके विराजने के स्थान तक जा सकता!
4 I would put my cause in order before him, and my mouth would be full of arguments.
४मैं उसके सामने अपना मुकद्दमा पेश करता, और बहुत से प्रमाण देता।
5 I would see what his answers would be, and have knowledge of what he would say to me.
५मैं जान लेता कि वह मुझसे उत्तर में क्या कह सकता है, और जो कुछ वह मुझसे कहता वह मैं समझ लेता।
6 Would he make use of his great power to overcome me? No, but he would give attention to me.
६क्या वह अपना बड़ा बल दिखाकर मुझसे मुकद्दमा लड़ता? नहीं, वह मुझ पर ध्यान देता।
7 There an upright man might put his cause before him; and I would be free for ever from my judge.
७सज्जन उससे विवाद कर सकते, और इस रीति मैं अपने न्यायी के हाथ से सदा के लिये छूट जाता।
8 See, I go forward, but he is not there; and back, but I do not see him;
८“देखो, मैं आगे जाता हूँ परन्तु वह नहीं मिलता; मैं पीछे हटता हूँ, परन्तु वह दिखाई नहीं पड़ता;
9 I am looking for him on the left hand, but there is no sign of him; and turning to the right, I am not able to see him.
९जब वह बाईं ओर काम करता है तब वह मुझे दिखाई नहीं देता; वह तो दाहिनी ओर ऐसा छिप जाता है, कि मुझे वह दिखाई ही नहीं पड़ता।
10 For he has knowledge of the way I take; after I have been tested I will come out like gold.
१०परन्तु वह जानता है, कि मैं कैसी चाल चला हूँ; और जब वह मुझे ता लेगा तब मैं सोने के समान निकलूँगा।
11 My feet have gone in his steps; I have kept in his way, without turning to one side or to the other.
११मेरे पैर उसके मार्गों में स्थिर रहे; और मैं उसी का मार्ग बिना मुड़ें थामे रहा।
12 I have never gone against the orders of his lips; the words of his mouth have been stored up in my heart.
१२उसकी आज्ञा का पालन करने से मैं न हटा, और मैंने उसके वचन अपनी इच्छा से कहीं अधिक काम के जानकर सुरक्षित रखे।
13 But his purpose is fixed and there is no changing it; and he gives effect to the desire of his soul.
१३परन्तु वह एक ही बात पर अड़ा रहता है, और कौन उसको उससे फिरा सकता है? जो कुछ उसका जी चाहता है वही वह करता है।
14 For what has been ordered for me by him will be gone through to the end: and his mind is full of such designs.
१४जो कुछ मेरे लिये उसने ठाना है, उसी को वह पूरा करता है; और उसके मन में ऐसी-ऐसी बहुत सी बातें हैं।
15 For this cause I am in fear before him, my thoughts of him overcome me.
१५इस कारण मैं उसके सम्मुख घबरा जाता हूँ; जब मैं सोचता हूँ तब उससे थरथरा उठता हूँ।
16 For God has made my heart feeble, and my mind is troubled before the Ruler of all.
१६क्योंकि मेरा मन परमेश्वर ही ने कच्चा कर दिया, और सर्वशक्तिमान ही ने मुझ को घबरा दिया है।
17 For I am overcome by the dark, and by the black night which is covering my face.
१७क्योंकि मैं अंधकार से घिरा हुआ हूँ, और घोर अंधकार ने मेरे मुँह को ढाँप लिया है।
