Job 12
1 And Job made answer and said,
૧ત્યારે અયૂબે ઉત્તર આપ્યો અને કહ્યું કે,
2 No doubt you have knowledge, and wisdom will come to an end with you.
૨“નિઃસંદેહ તમારા સિવાય તો બીજા લોક જ નથી; તમારી સાથે બુદ્ધિનો અંત આવશે.
3 But I have a mind as well as you; I am equal to you: yes, who has not knowledge of such things as these?
૩પરંતુ તમારી જેમ મને પણ અક્કલ છે; અને હું તમારા કરતાં ઊતરતો નથી. હા, એ બધું કોણ નથી જાણતું?
4 It seems that I am to be as one who is a cause of laughing to his neighbour, one who makes his prayer to God and is answered! the upright man who has done no wrong is to be made sport of!
૪મારા પડોશીઓ હાંસીપાત્ર ગણે તેવો હું છું; હું, જેણે ઈશ્વરને પ્રાર્થના કરી અને જેને ઈશ્વરે ઉત્તર પણ આપ્યો તે હું છું; હું, નિર્દોષ અને સંપૂર્ણ માણસ જે હમણાં હાંસીપાત્ર ગણાય તે હું છું.
5 In the thought of him who is in comfort there is no respect for one who is in trouble; such is the fate of those whose feet are slipping.
૫જેઓ પોતે સુખી છે તેઓ દુર્ભાગી માણસનો તિરસ્કાર કરે છે; જ્યારે કોઈ માણસ ઠોકર ખાય છે ત્યારે તેઓ એમ જ કરે છે.
6 There is wealth in the tents of those who make destruction, and those by whom God is moved to wrath are safe; even those whose god is their strength.
૬લૂટારુઓનાં ઘર આબાદ થાય છે, અને ઈશ્વરને પડકારનારાઓ સુરક્ષિત હોય છે; તેઓની તાકાત તે જ તેમનો ઈશ્વર છે.
7 But put now a question to the beasts, and get teaching from them; or to the birds of the heaven, and they will make it clear to you;
૭પરંતુ પશુઓને પૂછો તો તે તમને શીખવશે, જો ખેચર પક્ષીઓને પૂછો તો તે તમને કહેશે.
8 Or to the things which go flat on the earth, and they will give you wisdom; and the fishes of the sea will give you news of it.
૮અથવા પૃથ્વીને પૂછો અને તે તમને શીખવશે; સમુદ્રમાંની માછલીઓને પૂછો તો તે તમને માહિતી આપશે.
9 Who does not see by all these that the hand of the Lord has done this?
૯દરેક વ્યક્તિ જાણે છે કે આ સર્વનું યહોવાહે સર્જન કર્યું છે.
10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all flesh of man.
૧૦બધા જ જીવો તથા મનુષ્યનો આત્મા પણ ઈશ્વરના જ હાથમાં છે.
11 Are not words tested by the ear, even as food is tasted by the mouth?
૧૧જેમ જીભ અન્નનો સ્વાદ પારખે છે, તે જ રીતે શું કાન શબ્દોની પરીક્ષા નથી કરતા?
12 Old men have wisdom, and a long life gives knowledge.
૧૨વૃદ્ધ પુરુષોમાં ડહાપણ હોય છે; અને પાકી વયમાં સમજણ હોય છે.
13 With him there is wisdom and strength; power and knowledge are his.
૧૩પરંતુ જ્ઞાન તથા બળ તો ઈશ્વરનાં જ છે. સમજ અને સત્તા તો તેમની પાસે જ છે.
14 Truly, there is no building up of what is pulled down by him; when a man is shut up by him, no one may let him loose.
૧૪ઈશ્વર જે તોડી નાખે છે તેને કોઈ ફરીથી બાંધી શકતું નથી; જ્યારે તે માણસને કેદ કરે છે, ત્યારે કોઈ તેને છોડાવી શકતું નથી.
15 Truly, he keeps back the waters and they are dry; he sends them out and the earth is overturned.
૧૫જુઓ, જો તે વરસાદને અટકાવે છે, એટલે જમીન સુકાઈ જાય છે; અને જ્યારે તે તેને છોડી દે છે, ત્યારે તે ભૂમિ પર ફરી વળે છે.
16 With him are strength and wise designs; he who is guided into error, together with his guide, are in his hands;
૧૬તેમની પાસે બળ અને બુદ્ધિ છે; છેતરનારા અને છેતરાયેલા બન્ને તેમના હાથમાં જ છે.
17 He takes away the wisdom of the wise guides, and makes judges foolish;
૧૭તે રાજમંત્રીઓની બુદ્ધિ લૂંટી લે છે અને તે ન્યાયકર્તાઓને મૂર્ખ બનાવે છે.
18 He undoes the chains of kings, and puts his band on them;
૧૮રાજાઓનાં બંધન તે તોડી પાડે છે. અને તેમની કમરે સાંકળ બાંધે છે.
19 He makes priests prisoners, overturning those in safe positions;
૧૯તે યાજકોને લૂંટાવીને તેઓને લઈ જાય છે, અને બળવાનનો પરાજય કરે છે.
20 He makes the words of responsible persons without effect, and takes away the good sense of the old;
૨૦વક્તાઓની વાણી તે લઈ લે છે. અને વડીલોનું ડહાપણ લઈ લે છે.
21 He puts shame on chiefs, and takes away the power of the strong;
૨૧રાજાઓ ઉપર તે તિરસ્કાર કરે છે. તે શકિતશાળીઓની સત્તા આંચકી લે છે.
22 Uncovering deep things out of the dark, and making the deep shade bright;
૨૨તેઓ અંધકારમાંથી ગુપ્ત રહસ્ય પ્રગટ કરે છે, તે મૃત્યુછાયા પર પ્રકાશ લાવે છે.
23 Increasing nations, and sending destruction on them; making wide the lands of peoples, and then giving them up.
૨૩તે પ્રજાઓને બળવાન બનાવે છે, તે તેઓનો નાશ પણ કરે છે.
24 He takes away the wisdom of the rulers of the earth, and sends them wandering in a waste where there is no way.
૨૪તે પૃથ્વીના લોકોના આગેવાનોની સમજશકિત હણી લે છે; અને તેઓને દિશા-વિહોણા અરણ્યમાં રખડતા કરી મૂકે છે.
25 They go feeling about in the dark without light, wandering without help like those overcome with wine.
૨૫તેઓ અજવાળા વગર અંધકારમાં અથડાય છે અને તે તેઓને વ્યસની માણસની જેમ લથડતા કરી મૂકે છે.
