Isaiah 60

1 Up! let your face be bright, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is shining on you.

“उठो, प्रकाशमान हो, क्योंकि तुम्हारा प्रकाश आया है, तथा याहवेह का तेज तुम्हारे ऊपर उदय हुआ है.

2 For truly, the earth will be dark, and the peoples veiled in blackest night; but the Lord will be shining on you, and his glory will be seen among you.

देख, पृथ्वी पर तो अंधकार और राज्य-राज्य के लोगों पर घोर अंधकार है, परंतु तुम्हारे ऊपर याहवेह उदय होगा और उनका तेज तुम्हारे ऊपर प्रकट होगा.

3 And nations will come to your light, and kings to your bright dawn.

अन्य जातियां तुम्हारे पास प्रकाश के लिये, और राजा तुम्हारे आरोहण के प्रताप की ओर आएंगे.

4 Let your eyes be lifted up, and see: they are all coming together to you: your sons will come from far, and your daughters taken with loving care.

“अपने आस-पास दृष्टि उठाकर देख: वे सभी इकट्‍ठे हो रहे हैं और वे तुम्हारे पास आ रहे हैं; दूर स्थानों से तुम्हारे पुत्र आ जाएंगे, तुम्हारी पुत्रियां गोद में उठाकर लाई जाएंगी.

5 Then you will see, and be bright with joy, and your heart will be shaking with increase of delight: for the produce of the sea will be turned to you, the wealth of the nations will come to you.

तब तुम देखोगे तथा आनंदित होओगे, तुम्हारा हृदय आनंद से भर जाएगा; क्योंकि सागर का सारा धन तुम्हारा हो जायेगा, और देशों की धन-संपत्ति तुम्हारी हो जाएगी.

6 You will be full of camel-trains, even the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all from Sheba will come, with gold and spices, giving word of the great acts of the Lord.

तुम्हारे देश असंख्य ऊंटों से भर जाएंगे, जो मिदियान तथा एफाह और शीबा देश से आएंगे. वे अपने साथ सोना तथा लोबान लाएंगे, वे याहवेह का आनंद से गुणगान करेंगे.

7 All the flocks of Kedar will come together to you, the sheep of Nebaioth will be ready for your need; they will be pleasing offerings on my altar, and my house of prayer will be beautiful.

केदार की सब भेड़-बकरियां तुम्हारी हो जायेंगी, नेबाइयोथ के मेढ़े सेवा टहल के काम आएंगे; मेरी वेदी पर वे ग्रहण योग्य होंगे, मैं अपने घर को और प्रतापी कर दूंगा.

8 Who are these coming like a cloud, like a flight of doves to their windows?

“कौन हैं ये जो बादल समान उड़ते हैं, और कबूतर समान अपने घर को पहुंच जाते हैं?

9 Vessels of the sea-lands are waiting for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, so that your sons may come from far, and their silver and gold with them, to the place of the name of the Lord your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he has made you beautiful.

निश्चय द्वीप मेरी प्रतीक्षा करेंगे; तरशीश के जहाज़ पहले पहुंचेंगे, वे अपने साथ दूर देशों से तुम्हारे पुत्रों को लाएंगे, उनके साथ उनका सोना एवं उनकी चांदी होगी, यह याहवेह तुम्हारे परमेश्वर की महिमा में होगा, क्योंकि उन्होंने ही तुम्हें प्रताप से शोभायमान किया है.

10 And men from strange countries will be building up your walls, and their kings will be your servants: for in my wrath I sent punishment on you, but in my grace I have had mercy on you.

“परदेशी लोग तेरी शहरपनाह को उठाएंगे, उनके राजा तेरी सेवा करेंगे. क्योंकि क्रोध में आकर मैंने तुझे दुःख दिया था, परंतु अब तुझसे प्रसन्‍न होकर दया करूंगा.

11 Your doors will be open at all times; they will not be shut day or night; so that men may come into you with the wealth of the nations, with their kings at their head.

तुम्हारे फाटक निरंतर खुले रहेंगे, दिन हो या रात, वे बंद नहीं किए जाएंगे, देश की धन-संपत्ति और उनके राजा बंधुए होकर तेरे पास आएंगे.

12 For the nation or kingdom which will not be your servant will come to destruction; such nations will be completely waste.

वे लोग तथा वे राज्य जो तुम्हारी सेवा करना अस्वीकार करेंगे, नष्ट हो जाएंगे; ये देश पूर्णतः नष्ट हो जाएंगे.

13 The glory of Lebanon will come to you, the cypress, the plane, and the sherbin-tree together, to make my holy place beautiful; and the resting-place of my feet will be full of glory.

“लबानोन का वैभव तुम्हारा हो जाएगा, सनोवर व देवदार तथा चीड़ वृक्ष, मेरे पवित्र स्थान के सौंदर्य को बढ़ाएंगे; मैं अपने चरणों के स्थान को भी महिमा का रूप दूंगा.

14 And the sons of those who were cruel to you will come before you with bent heads; and those who made sport of you will go down on their faces at your feet; and you will be named, The Town of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

जिन्होंने तुम पर अत्याचार किया है, उनके पुत्र तुम्हारे सामने झुक जाएंगे; तथा वे सभी जिन्होंने तुमसे घृणा की है वे सब तुम्हारे सामने झुक जाएंगे! वे तुम्हारा नाम ‘याहवेह का नगर, इस्राएल के पवित्र का ज़ियोन’ बुलाएंगे.

15 And though you were turned away from, and hated, and had no helper, I will make you a pride for ever, a joy from generation to generation.

“जब तुम त्यागी हुई घृणा के नगर थे, कोई भी तुममें से होकर नहीं जाता था, लेकिन अब मैं तुम्हें स्थिर गौरव का स्थान बना दूंगा और पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी आनंद का कारण ठहराऊंगा.

16 And you will take the milk of the nations, flowing from the breast of kings; and you will see that I, the Lord, am your saviour, and he who takes up your cause, the Strong One of Jacob.

तू अन्य जनताओं का दूध पी लेगी तुम्हें राजा दूध पिलाएंगे. तब तुम जान लोगे कि मैं, याहवेह ही, तुम्हारा उद्धारकर्ता, और याकोब का वह सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर, तुम्हारा छुड़ाने वाला हूं.

17 In place of brass, I will give gold, and for iron silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: and I will make Peace your judge, and Righteousness your overseer.

कांस्य के स्थान पर मैं सोना, लोहे के स्थान पर चांदी. लकड़ी के स्थान पर कांस्य, तथा पत्थरों के स्थान पर लोहा लेकर आऊंगा. तब मैं शांति को तेरा हाकिम तथा धार्मिकता को तेरा अधिकारी नियुक्त कर दूंगा.

18 Violent acts will no longer be seen in your land, wasting or destruction in your limits; but your walls will be named, Salvation, and your doors Praise.

अब तुम्हारे देश में फिर हिंसा न होगी, न ही तुम्हारी सीमाओं में हलचल या विनाश बिखर जायेगा, परंतु तुम अपनी शहरपनाह का नाम उद्धार और अपने फाटकों का नाम यश रखोगे.

19 The sun will not be your light by day, and the moon will no longer be bright for you by night: but the Lord will be to you an eternal light, and your God your glory.

तब दिन के समय तुम्हें प्रकाश के लिए, न तो सूर्य की आवश्यकता होगी और न रात को चांद की, परंतु याहवेह तुम्हारे लिए सदा का प्रकाश होंगे, और तुम्हारा परमेश्वर तुम्हारा वैभव होगा.

20 Your sun will never again go down, or your moon keep back her light: for the Lord will be your eternal light, and the days of your sorrow will be ended.

तुम्हारा सूर्य कभी अस्त न होगा, न ही तुम्हारे चांद की ज्योति कम होगी; क्योंकि याहवेह तेरी सदैव की ज्योति होंगे, और तुम्हारे विलाप के दिन समाप्‍त हो जाएंगे.

21 Your people will all be upright, the land will be their heritage for ever; the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, to be for my glory.

तब तुम्हारे लोग धर्मी हो जाएंगे वे सदा-सर्वदा के लिए देश के अधिकारी हो जाएंगे. मेरे लगाये हुए पौधे, और मेरे हाथों का काम ठहरेंगे, जिससे मेरी महिमा प्रकट हो.

22 The smallest of their families will become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I, the Lord, will make it come quickly in its time.

सबसे छोटा एक हजार हो जायेगा, और सबसे कमजोर एक सामर्थ्यी जाति बन जायेगा. मैं याहवेह हूं; ठीक समय पर सब कुछ पूरा करूंगा.”
