< Isaiah 34 >
1 Come near, you nations, and give ear; take note, you peoples: let the earth and everything in it give ear; the world and all those living in it.
Oe! ramnaw, na thaithai awh nahanlah hnai awh haw. Oe! Miphunnaw, thai awh haw! Talai hoi talai dawk kaawm e hno puenghai thoseh, talai van hoi talai van thung kaawm e hno puenghai thoseh thai awh naseh.
2 For the Lord is angry with all the nations, and his wrath is burning against all their armies: he has put them to the curse, he has given them to destruction.
BAWIPA teh miphun pueng koe a lungkhuek dawkvah, a lungphuennae a hue teh ahnimae ransabawinaw koe a pha. Ahnimanaw hah raphoe vaiteh, theinae koe a poe han.
3 Their dead bodies will be thick on the face of the earth, and their smell will come up, and the mountains will be flowing with their blood, and all the hills will come to nothing.
Ahnimouh thung hoi thei lah kaawm e ronaw hah alawilah tâkhawng dawkvah, hote ronaw dawk hoi a hmuikawk teh, ahnimae thi hoi monnaw teh a kamyawt.
4 And the heavens will be rolled together like the roll of a book: and all their army will be gone, like a dead leaf from the vine, or a dry fruit from the fig-tree.
Kalvan e hnonaw puenghai a hmawn teh, kalvan teh cahna kalawng e patetlah kalawng lah ao. Hote kalvanlae hnonaw teh misur hna ka king e patetlah thoseh, thaibunglung dawk hoi a paw ka sarut e patetlah thoseh a sarut awh han.
5 For my sword in heaven is full of wrath: see, it is coming down on Edom, in punishment on the people of my curse.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, kaie tahloi teh, kalvan vah pâsu vaiteh, Edom ram dawk thoseh, kai ni thoebo e taminaw lathueng lawkcengnae hoi a kum han.
6 The sword of the Lord is full of blood, it is fat with the best of the meat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the best parts of the sheep: for the Lord has a feast in Bozrah, and much cattle will be put to death in the land of Edom.
BAWIPA e tahloi teh thi a boum toe. Athaw, tuca hoi hmaeca e thi, tutan e kuen thâwnae hoi thâw sak toe. Bangkongtetpawiteh, Bozrah kho dawk thuengnae pawi ao teh, Edom ram dawk puenghoi kâtheinae ao.
7 And the strong oxen will go down to death together with the smaller cattle.
Sakraknaw teh ahnimouh hoi cungtalah a rawp awh han. Maitotancanaw teh maitotanpui hoi reirei a rawp awh han. Ahnimae talai teh thi a boum teh, ahnimae vaiphu hai athaw hoi akawi han.
8 For it is the day of the Lord's punishment, when he gives payment for the wrongs done to Zion.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA dawk runae poenae hnin, Zion kho hane kecu dawk moipathungnae kum lah ao.
9 And its streams will be turned into boiling oil, and its dust into burning stone, and all the land will be on fire.
Hote ram thung e palang tuinaw teh kattaya patetlah thoseh, haw e vaiphu teh gan patetlah thoseh, a kâthung vaiteh, hote ram pueng teh hmai ka kang e kattaya lah ao han.
10 It will not be put out day or night; its smoke will go up for ever: it will be waste from generation to generation; no one will go through it for ever.
Karum khodai hmai roum mahoeh. Hote ram hmaikhu teh, pou a khu han. Hote ram teh miphun catoun totouh tami kingdi vaiteh, nâtuek hai hote ram hah tami ni raka boi mahoeh toe.
11 But the birds of the waste land will have their place there; it will be a heritage for the bittern and the raven: and it will be measured out with line and weight as a waste land.
Mataw hoi kawrangnaw ni hote ram teh ao nah awh han. Bukbunaw hoi vonganaw hai hote ram dawk ao awh han. Hote ram dawk kâsanunae rui hoi hrawnghrang e bangnuenae a payang sin han.
12 The jackals will be there, and her great ones will be gone; they will say, There is no longer a kingdom there, and all her chiefs will have come to an end.
Hote uknaeram dawk e bawinaw hoi kâkuen lah, hote ram hah ram doeh telah ka kaw e tami hote ram dawk awm mahoeh. Hote ram dawk e bawi kacue kanaw pueng teh ahrawnghrang lah ao awh han.
13 And thorns will come up in her fair houses, and waste plants in her strong towers: and foxes will make their holes there, and it will be a meeting-place for ostriches.
Ahnimae siangpahrang imnaw dawk pâkhingkungnaw hoi, ahnimae ramvengimnaw dawk pâkhing hoi benyetnaw a pâw han. Kahrawnguinaw hrampanae hmuen, tavakalauknaw onae hmuen lah ao han.
14 And the beasts of the waste places will come together with the jackals, and the evil spirits will be crying to one another, even the night-spirit will come and make her resting-place there.
Ramke um e sarangnaw teh kahrawnguinaw hoi reirei ao han. Athanaw ni hai buet touh hoi buet touh lawk a kâpan awh han. Hote hmuen koe karum lae tavanaw ni hai amamouh kâhatnae hmuen a pâphawng awh han.
15 The arrowsnake will make her hole and put her eggs there, and get her young together under her shade: there the hawks will come together by twos.
Tahrun ni hai hote hmuen koe tabu tuk vaiteh, tadui tadui vaiteh, a ca a khe toteh, amae a tâhlip dawk a tabo sak han. Matawnaw nihai, hote hmuen koe kamkhueng awh vaiteh, buet touh hoi buet touh âvâ a kâyawng awh han.
16 See what is recorded in the book of the Lord: all these will be there, not one without the other: the mouth of the Lord has given the order, and his spirit has made them come together.
BAWIPA e a Cakathoung hah khen awh nateh, touk awh. Hotnaw thung dawk hoi buet touh boehai ceitakhai e awm mahoeh. Buet touh boehai hui tawn laipalah awm mahoeh. Bangkongtetpawiteh Bawipa e lawk dawk hottelah ati. Bawipa e Muitha ni hai ahnimanaw hah a pâkhueng sak.
17 And he has given them their heritage, and by his hand it has been measured out to them: it will be theirs for ever, their resting-place from generation to generation.
Bawipa ni ahnimouh hanelah cungpam a rayu teh, a kut hoi rui a payang teh, ahnimanaw hah a rei. Ahnimouh ni hote ram hah a yungyoe râw lah pang awh teh, miphun catoun totouh hote ram dawk ao awh han.
