< Hosea 14 >

1 O Israel, come back to the Lord your God; for your evil-doing has been the cause of your fall.
O Israel, mitrɔ yi Yehowa, miaƒe Mawu la gbɔ, elabena miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo gbã mi gudugudu.
2 Take with you words, and come back to the Lord; say to him, Let there be forgiveness for all wrongdoing, so that we may take what is good, and give in payment the fruit of our lips.
Miva Yehowa gbɔ kple miaƒe kukuɖeɖe, eye miagblɔ nɛ be, “O Yehowa, tsɔ míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ke mí. Ve mía nu nàgaxɔ mí, eye míatsɔ kafukafuvɔsa vɛ na wò.
3 Assyria will not be our salvation; we will not go on horses; we will not again say to the work of our hands, You are our gods; for in you there is mercy for the child who has no father.
Asiria mate ŋu axɔ na mí le aʋa me o, eye míaƒe aʋawɔsɔwo hã mate ŋu aɖe mí o; míagayɔ legba siwo míewɔ kple asi la be míaƒe mawuwo azɔ o, elabena wò Yehowa ɖeɖe gbɔ ko tsyɔ̃eviwo kpɔa nublanuikpɔkpɔ le.”
4 I will put right their errors; freely will my love be given to them, for my wrath is turned away from him.
“Ekema mada gbe le woƒe mɔtatra ŋu, eye magalɔ̃ wo kple dzi faa, elabena nye dɔmedzoe nu afa keŋ.
5 I will be as the dew to Israel; he will put out flowers like a lily, and send out his roots like Lebanon.
Manɔ abe ahũdzadza ene na Israel, aƒo se nyuie abe dzogbenya ene, eye wòaƒo ke ɖe to abe Lebanon ƒe sedati ene.
6 His branches will be stretched out, he will be beautiful as the olive-tree and sweet-smelling as Lebanon.
Eƒe alɔdzewo atse nyuie, eƒe dzedzeme anɔ abe amiti ene, eye eƒe ʋeʋẽ anɔ abe Lebanon ƒe sedati ene.
7 They will come back and have rest in his shade; their life will be made new like the grain, and they will put out flowers like the vine; his name will be like the wine of Lebanon.
Amewo aganɔ anyi ɖe eƒe vɔvɔli te bɔkɔɔ, aʋã abe bli ene, aƒo se abe wainti ene, eye axɔ ŋkɔ abe Lebanon ƒe wain ene.
8 As for Ephraim, what has he to do with false gods any longer? I have given an answer and I will keep watch over him; I am like a branching fir-tree, from me comes your fruit.
O Efraim! Migbe nu le legbawo gbɔ! Matɔ nɛ, akpɔ eta. Mele abe ati dama ene. Wò nuteƒewɔwɔ tso gbɔnye.”
9 He who is wise will see these things; he who has good sense will have knowledge of them. For the ways of the Lord are straight, and the upright will go in them, but sinners will be falling in them.
Ame sia ame si si nunya le la, ase nu siawo gɔme. Ame sia ame si bua ta me la, neɖo to, elabena Yehowa ƒe mɔwo le dzɔdzɔe, eye ame dzɔdzɔewoe zɔa edzi, ke nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo ya akli nu, adze anyi.
