< Hebrews 11 >

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the sign that the things not seen are true.
ୱିଶ୍ୱାସ ଆଶଂସିତାନାଂ ନିଶ୍ଚଯଃ, ଅଦୃଶ୍ୟାନାଂ ୱିଷଯାଣାଂ ଦର୍ଶନଂ ଭୱତି|
2 For by it our fathers had God's approval.
ତେନ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ପ୍ରାଞ୍ଚୋ ଲୋକାଃ ପ୍ରାମାଣ୍ୟଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତୱନ୍ତଃ|
3 By faith it is clear to us that the order of events was fixed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made from things which only seem to be. (aiōn g165)
ଅପରମ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ୱାକ୍ୟେନ ଜଗନ୍ତ୍ୟସୃଜ୍ୟନ୍ତ, ଦୃଷ୍ଟୱସ୍ତୂନି ଚ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷୱସ୍ତୁଭ୍ୟୋ ନୋଦପଦ୍ୟନ୍ତୈତଦ୍ ୱଯଂ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ବୁଧ୍ୟାମହେ| (aiōn g165)
4 By faith Abel made a better offering to God than Cain, and he had witness through it of his righteousness, God giving his approval of his offering: and his voice still comes to us through it though he is dead.
ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ହାବିଲ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରମୁଦ୍ଦିଶ୍ୟ କାବିଲଃ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠଂ ବଲିଦାନଂ କୃତୱାନ୍ ତସ୍ମାଚ୍ଚେଶ୍ୱରେଣ ତସ୍ୟ ଦାନାନ୍ୟଧି ପ୍ରମାଣେ ଦତ୍ତେ ସ ଧାର୍ମ୍ମିକ ଇତ୍ୟସ୍ୟ ପ୍ରମାଣଂ ଲବ୍ଧୱାନ୍ ତେନ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ଚ ସ ମୃତଃ ସନ୍ ଅଦ୍ୟାପି ଭାଷତେ|
5 By faith Enoch was taken up to heaven so that he did not see death; he was seen no longer, for God took him away: for before he was taken, witness had been given that he was well-pleasing to God:
ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ହନୋକ୍ ଯଥା ମୃତ୍ୟୁଂ ନ ପଶ୍ୟେତ୍ ତଥା ଲୋକାନ୍ତରଂ ନୀତଃ, ତସ୍ୟୋଦ୍ଦେଶଶ୍ଚ କେନାପି ନ ପ୍ରାପି ଯତ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ତଂ ଲୋକାନ୍ତରଂ ନୀତୱାନ୍, ତତ୍ପ୍ରମାଣମିଦଂ ତସ୍ୟ ଲୋକାନ୍ତରୀକରଣାତ୍ ପୂର୍ୱ୍ୱଂ ସ ଈଶ୍ୱରାଯ ରୋଚିତୱାନ୍ ଇତି ପ୍ରମାଣଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତୱାନ୍|
6 And without faith it is not possible to be well-pleasing to him, for it is necessary for anyone who comes to God to have the belief that God is, and that he is a rewarder of all those who make a serious search for him.
କିନ୍ତୁ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସଂ ୱିନା କୋଽପୀଶ୍ୱରାଯ ରୋଚିତୁଂ ନ ଶକ୍ନୋତି ଯତ ଈଶ୍ୱରୋଽସ୍ତି ସ୍ୱାନ୍ୱେଷିଲୋକେଭ୍ୟଃ ପୁରସ୍କାରଂ ଦଦାତି ଚେତିକଥାଯାମ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରଶରଣାଗତୈ ର୍ୱିଶ୍ୱସିତୱ୍ୟଂ|
7 By faith Noah, being moved by the fear of God, made ready an ark for the salvation of his family, because God had given him news of things which were not seen at the time; and through it the world was judged by him, and he got for his heritage the righteousness which is by faith.
ଅପରଂ ତଦାନୀଂ ଯାନ୍ୟଦୃଶ୍ୟାନ୍ୟାସନ୍ ତାନୀଶ୍ୱରେଣାଦିଷ୍ଟଃ ସନ୍ ନୋହୋ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ଭୀତ୍ୱା ସ୍ୱପରିଜନାନାଂ ରକ୍ଷାର୍ଥଂ ପୋତଂ ନିର୍ମ୍ମିତୱାନ୍ ତେନ ଚ ଜଗଜ୍ଜନାନାଂ ଦୋଷାନ୍ ଦର୍ଶିତୱାନ୍ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସାତ୍ ଲଭ୍ୟସ୍ୟ ପୁଣ୍ୟସ୍ୟାଧିକାରୀ ବଭୂୱ ଚ|
8 By faith Abraham did as God said when he was ordered to go out into a place which was to be given to him as a heritage, and went out without knowledge of where he was going.
ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନେବ୍ରାହୀମ୍ ଆହୂତଃ ସନ୍ ଆଜ୍ଞାଂ ଗୃହୀତ୍ୱା ଯସ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥାନସ୍ୟାଧିକାରସ୍ତେନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତୱ୍ୟସ୍ତତ୍ ସ୍ଥାନଂ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥିତୱାନ୍ କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନସମଯେ କ୍କ ଯାମୀତି ନାଜାନାତ୍|
9 By faith he was a wanderer in the land of the agreement, as in a strange land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who had a part with him in the same heritage:
ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ସ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାତେ ଦେଶେ ପରଦେଶୱତ୍ ପ୍ରୱସନ୍ ତସ୍ୟାଃ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାଯାଃ ସମାନାଂଶିଭ୍ୟାମ୍ ଇସ୍ହାକା ଯାକୂବା ଚ ସହ ଦୂଷ୍ୟୱାସ୍ୟଭୱତ୍|
10 For he was looking for the strong town, whose builder and maker is God.
ଯସ୍ମାତ୍ ସ ଈଶ୍ୱରେଣ ନିର୍ମ୍ମିତଂ ସ୍ଥାପିତଞ୍ଚ ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଲଯୁକ୍ତଂ ନଗରଂ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୈକ୍ଷତ|
11 And by faith Sarah herself had power to give birth, when she was very old, because she had faith in him who gave his word;
ଅପରଞ୍ଚ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ସାରା ୱଯୋତିକ୍ରାନ୍ତା ସନ୍ତ୍ୟପି ଗର୍ଭଧାରଣାଯ ଶକ୍ତିଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ୟ ପୁତ୍ରୱତ୍ୟଭୱତ୍, ଯତଃ ସା ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାକାରିଣଂ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସ୍ୟମ୍ ଅମନ୍ୟତ|
12 So that from one man, who was near to death, came children in number as the stars in heaven, or as the sand by the seaside, which may not be numbered.
ତତୋ ହେତୋ ର୍ମୃତକଲ୍ପାଦ୍ ଏକସ୍ମାତ୍ ଜନାଦ୍ ଆକାଶୀଯନକ୍ଷତ୍ରାଣୀୱ ଗଣନାତୀତାଃ ସମୁଦ୍ରତୀରସ୍ଥସିକତା ଇୱ ଚାସଂଖ୍ୟା ଲୋକା ଉତ୍ପେଦିରେ|
13 All these came to their end in faith, not having had the heritage; but having seen it with delight far away, they gave witness that they were wanderers and not of the earth.
ଏତେ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱେ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାଯାଃ ଫଲାନ୍ୟପ୍ରାପ୍ୟ କେୱଲଂ ଦୂରାତ୍ ତାନି ନିରୀକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ୱନ୍ଦିତ୍ୱା ଚ, ପୃଥିୱ୍ୟାଂ ୱଯଂ ୱିଦେଶିନଃ ପ୍ରୱାସିନଶ୍ଚାସ୍ମହ ଇତି ସ୍ୱୀକୃତ୍ୟ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ପ୍ରାଣାନ୍ ତତ୍ୟଜୁଃ|
14 For those who say such things make it clear that they are searching for a country for themselves.
ଯେ ତୁ ଜନା ଇତ୍ଥଂ କଥଯନ୍ତି ତୈଃ ପୈତୃକଦେଶୋ ଽସ୍ମାଭିରନ୍ୱିଷ୍ୟତ ଇତି ପ୍ରକାଶ୍ୟତେ|
15 And truly if they had kept in mind the country from which they went out, they would have had chances of turning back.
ତେ ଯସ୍ମାଦ୍ ଦେଶାତ୍ ନିର୍ଗତାସ୍ତଂ ଯଦ୍ୟସ୍ମରିଷ୍ୟନ୍ ତର୍ହି ପରାୱର୍ତ୍ତନାଯ ସମଯମ୍ ଅଲପ୍ସ୍ୟନ୍ତ|
16 But now their desire is for a better country, that is to say, for one in heaven; and so it is no shame to God to be named their God; for he has made ready a town for them.
କିନ୍ତୁ ତେ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱୋତ୍କୃଷ୍ଟମ୍ ଅର୍ଥତଃ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗୀଯଂ ଦେଶମ୍ ଆକାଙ୍କ୍ଷନ୍ତି ତସ୍ମାଦ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ତାନଧି ନ ଲଜ୍ଜମାନସ୍ତେଷାମ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱର ଇତି ନାମ ଗୃହୀତୱାନ୍ ଯତଃ ସ ତେଷାଂ କୃତେ ନଗରମେକଂ ସଂସ୍ଥାପିତୱାନ୍|
17 By faith Abraham made an offering of Isaac, when he was tested: and he with whom the agreement had been made gave up as an offering the only son of his body,
ଅପରମ୍ ଇବ୍ରାହୀମଃ ପରୀକ୍ଷାଯାଂ ଜାତାଯାଂ ସ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନେସ୍ହାକମ୍ ଉତ୍ସସର୍ଜ,
18 Of whom it had been said, From Isaac will your seed take their name:
ୱସ୍ତୁତ ଇସ୍ହାକି ତୱ ୱଂଶୋ ୱିଖ୍ୟାସ୍ୟତ ଇତି ୱାଗ୍ ଯମଧି କଥିତା ତମ୍ ଅଦ୍ୱିତୀଯଂ ପୁତ୍ରଂ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାପ୍ରାପ୍ତଃ ସ ଉତ୍ସସର୍ଜ|
19 Judging that God was able to give life even to the dead; and because of this he did get him back as if from death.
ଯତ ଈଶ୍ୱରୋ ମୃତାନପ୍ୟୁତ୍ଥାପଯିତୁଂ ଶକ୍ନୋତୀତି ସ ମେନେ ତସ୍ମାତ୍ ସ ଉପମାରୂପଂ ତଂ ଲେଭେ|
20 By faith Isaac, blessing Jacob and Esau, gave news of things to come.
ଅପରମ୍ ଇସ୍ହାକ୍ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ଯାକୂବ୍ ଏଷାୱେ ଚ ଭାୱିୱିଷଯାନଧ୍ୟାଶିଷଂ ଦଦୌ|
21 By faith Jacob gave a blessing to the two sons of Joseph, when he was near to death; and gave God worship, supported by his stick.
ଅପରଂ ଯାକୂବ୍ ମରଣକାଲେ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ଯୂଷଫଃ ପୁତ୍ରଯୋରେକୈକସ୍ମୈ ଜନାଯାଶିଷଂ ଦଦୌ ଯଷ୍ଟ୍ୟା ଅଗ୍ରଭାଗେ ସମାଲମ୍ବ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଣନାମ ଚ|
22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, said that the children of Israel would go out of Egypt; and gave orders about his bones.
ଅପରଂ ଯୂଷଫ୍ ଚରମକାଲେ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନେସ୍ରାଯେଲ୍ୱଂଶୀଯାନାଂ ମିସରଦେଶାଦ୍ ବହିର୍ଗମନସ୍ୟ ୱାଚଂ ଜଗାଦ ନିଜାସ୍ଥୀନି ଚାଧି ସମାଦିଦେଶ|
23 By faith Moses was kept secretly by his father and mother for three months after his birth, because they saw that he was a fair child; and they had no fear of the king's orders.
ନୱଜାତୋ ମୂସାଶ୍ଚ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସାତ୍ ତ୍ରାନ୍ ମାସାନ୍ ସ୍ୱପିତୃଭ୍ୟାମ୍ ଅଗୋପ୍ୟତ ଯତସ୍ତୌ ସ୍ୱଶିଶୁଂ ପରମସୁନ୍ଦରଂ ଦୃଷ୍ଟୱନ୍ତୌ ରାଜାଜ୍ଞାଞ୍ଚ ନ ଶଙ୍କିତୱନ୍ତୌ|
24 By faith Moses, when he became a man, had no desire to be named the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
ଅପରଂ ୱଯଃପ୍ରାପ୍ତୋ ମୂସା ୱିଶ୍ୱାସାତ୍ ଫିରୌଣୋ ଦୌହିତ୍ର ଇତି ନାମ ନାଙ୍ଗୀଚକାର|
25 Feeling that it was better to undergo pain with the people of God, than for a short time to have a taste of the pleasures of sin;
ଯତଃ ସ କ୍ଷଣିକାତ୍ ପାପଜସୁଖଭୋଗାଦ୍ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଜାଭିଃ ସାର୍ଦ୍ଧଂ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗଂ ୱୱ୍ରେ|
26 Judging a part in the shame of Christ to be better than all the wealth of Egypt; for he was looking forward to his reward.
ତଥା ମିସରଦେଶୀଯନିଧିଭ୍ୟଃ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟନିମିତ୍ତାଂ ନିନ୍ଦାଂ ମହତୀଂ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିଂ ମେନେ ଯତୋ ହେତୋଃ ସ ପୁରସ୍କାରଦାନମ୍ ଅପୈକ୍ଷତ|
27 By faith he went out of Egypt, not being turned from his purpose by fear of the wrath of the king; for he kept on his way, as seeing him who is unseen.
ଅପରଂ ସ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ରାଜ୍ଞଃ କ୍ରୋଧାତ୍ ନ ଭୀତ୍ୱା ମିସରଦେଶଂ ପରିତତ୍ୟାଜ, ଯତସ୍ତେନାଦୃଶ୍ୟଂ ୱୀକ୍ଷମାଣେନେୱ ଧୈର୍ୟ୍ୟମ୍ ଆଲମ୍ବି|
28 By faith he kept the Passover, and put the sign of the blood on the houses, so that the angel of destruction might not put their oldest sons to death.
ଅପରଂ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତାନାଂ ହନ୍ତା ଯତ୍ ସ୍ୱୀଯଲୋକାନ୍ ନ ସ୍ପୃଶେତ୍ ତଦର୍ଥଂ ସ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସେନ ନିସ୍ତାରପର୍ୱ୍ୱୀଯବଲିଚ୍ଛେଦନଂ ରୁଧିରସେଚନଞ୍ଚାନୁଷ୍ଠିତାୱାନ୍|
29 By faith they went through the Red Sea as if it had been dry land, though the Egyptians were overcome by the water when they made an attempt to do the same.
ଅପରଂ ତେ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସାତ୍ ସ୍ଥଲେନେୱ ସୂଫ୍ସାଗରେଣ ଜଗ୍ମୁଃ କିନ୍ତୁ ମିସ୍ରୀଯଲୋକାସ୍ତତ୍ କର୍ତ୍ତୁମ୍ ଉପକ୍ରମ୍ୟ ତୋଯେଷୁ ମମଜ୍ଜୁଃ|
30 By faith the walls of Jericho came down, after they had been circled for seven days.
ଅପରଞ୍ଚ ୱିଶ୍ୱାସାତ୍ ତୈଃ ସପ୍ତାହଂ ଯାୱଦ୍ ଯିରୀହୋଃ ପ୍ରାଚୀରସ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଦକ୍ଷିଣେ କୃତେ ତତ୍ ନିପପାତ|
31 By faith Rahab, the loose woman, was not put to death with those who had gone against God's orders, because she had taken into her house in peace those sent to see the land.
ୱିଶ୍ୱାସାଦ୍ ରାହବ୍ନାମିକା ୱେଶ୍ୟାପି ପ୍ରୀତ୍ୟା ଚାରାନ୍ ଅନୁଗୃହ୍ୟାୱିଶ୍ୱାସିଭିଃ ସାର୍ଦ୍ଧଂ ନ ୱିନନାଶ|
32 What more am I to say? For there would not be time to give the stories of Gideon, Barak, Samson, and Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets:
ଅଧିକଂ କିଂ କଥଯିଷ୍ୟାମି? ଗିଦିଯୋନୋ ବାରକଃ ଶିମ୍ଶୋନୋ ଯିପ୍ତହୋ ଦାଯୂଦ୍ ଶିମୂଯେଲୋ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ୱାଦିନଶ୍ଚୈତେଷାଂ ୱୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତକଥନାଯ ମମ ସମଯାଭାୱୋ ଭୱିଷ୍ୟତି|
33 Who through faith overcame kingdoms, did righteousness, got their reward, kept the mouths of lions shut,
ୱିଶ୍ୱାସାତ୍ ତେ ରାଜ୍ୟାନି ୱଶୀକୃତୱନ୍ତୋ ଧର୍ମ୍ମକର୍ମ୍ମାଣି ସାଧିତୱନ୍ତଃ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାନାଂ ଫଲଂ ଲବ୍ଧୱନ୍ତଃ ସିଂହାନାଂ ମୁଖାନି ରୁଦ୍ଧୱନ୍ତୋ
34 Put out the power of fire, got safely away from the edge of the sword, were made strong when they had been feeble, became full of power in war, and put to flight the armies of the nations.
ୱହ୍ନେର୍ଦାହଂ ନିର୍ୱ୍ୱାପିତୱନ୍ତଃ ଖଙ୍ଗଧାରାଦ୍ ରକ୍ଷାଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତୱନ୍ତୋ ଦୌର୍ବ୍ବଲ୍ୟେ ସବଲୀକୃତା ଯୁଦ୍ଧେ ପରାକ୍ରମିଣୋ ଜାତାଃ ପରେଷାଂ ସୈନ୍ୟାନି ଦୱଯିତୱନ୍ତଶ୍ଚ|
35 Women had their dead given back to them living; others let themselves be cruelly attacked, having no desire to go free, so that they might have a better life to come;
ଯୋଷିତଃ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନେନ ମୃତାନ୍ ଆତ୍ମଜାନ୍ ଲେଭିରେ, ଅପରେ ଚ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠୋତ୍ଥାନସ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତେରାଶଯା ରକ୍ଷାମ୍ ଅଗୃହୀତ୍ୱା ତାଡନେନ ମୃତୱନ୍ତଃ|
36 And others were tested by being laughed at or by blows, and even with chains and prisons:
ଅପରେ ତିରସ୍କାରୈଃ କଶାଭି ର୍ବନ୍ଧନୈଃ କାରଯା ଚ ପରୀକ୍ଷିତାଃ|
37 They were stoned, they were cut up with knives, they were tested, they were put to death with the sword, they went about in sheepskins and in goatskins; being poor and in pain and cruelly attacked,
ବହୱଶ୍ଚ ପ୍ରସ୍ତରାଘାତୈ ର୍ହତାଃ କରପତ୍ରୈ ର୍ୱା ୱିଦୀର୍ଣା ଯନ୍ତ୍ରୈ ର୍ୱା କ୍ଲିଷ୍ଟାଃ ଖଙ୍ଗଧାରୈ ର୍ୱା ୱ୍ୟାପାଦିତାଃ| ତେ ମେଷାଣାଂ ଛାଗାନାଂ ୱା ଚର୍ମ୍ମାଣି ପରିଧାଯ ଦୀନାଃ ପୀଡିତା ଦୁଃଖାର୍ତ୍ତାଶ୍ଚାଭ୍ରାମ୍ୟନ୍|
38 Wandering in waste places and in mountains and in holes in the rocks; for whom the world was not good enough.
ସଂସାରୋ ଯେଷାମ୍ ଅଯୋଗ୍ୟସ୍ତେ ନିର୍ଜନସ୍ଥାନେଷୁ ପର୍ୱ୍ୱତେଷୁ ଗହ୍ୱରେଷୁ ପୃଥିୱ୍ୟାଶ୍ଛିଦ୍ରେଷୁ ଚ ପର୍ୟ୍ୟଟନ୍|
39 And not one of these got the good things of the agreement, though they all had a good record through faith,
ଏତୈଃ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱୈ ର୍ୱିଶ୍ୱାସାତ୍ ପ୍ରମାଣଂ ପ୍ରାପି କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାଯାଃ ଫଲଂ ନ ପ୍ରାପି|
40 Because God had kept some better thing for us, so that it was not possible for them to become complete without us.
ଯତସ୍ତେ ଯଥାସ୍ମାନ୍ ୱିନା ସିଦ୍ଧା ନ ଭୱେଯୁସ୍ତଥୈୱେଶ୍ୱରେଣାସ୍ମାକଂ କୃତେ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠତରଂ କିମପି ନିର୍ଦିଦିଶେ|
