Genesis 5
1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God made man, he made him in the image of God;
Inilah daftar keturunan Adam. Pada waktu manusia itu diciptakan oleh Allah, dibuat-Nyalah dia menurut rupa Allah;
2 Male and female he made them, naming them Man, and giving them his blessing on the day when they were made.
laki-laki dan perempuan diciptakan-Nya mereka. Ia memberkati mereka dan memberikan nama "Manusia" kepada mereka, pada waktu mereka diciptakan.
3 Adam had been living for a hundred and thirty years when he had a son like himself, after his image, and gave him the name of Seth:
Setelah Adam hidup seratus tiga puluh tahun, ia memperanakkan seorang laki-laki menurut rupa dan gambarnya, lalu memberi nama Set kepadanya.
4 And after the birth of Seth, Adam went on living for eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters:
Umur Adam, setelah memperanakkan Set, delapan ratus tahun, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.
5 And all the years of Adam's life were nine hundred and thirty: and he came to his end.
Jadi Adam mencapai umur sembilan ratus tiga puluh tahun, lalu ia mati.
6 And Seth was a hundred and five years old when he became the father of Enosh:
Setelah Set hidup seratus lima tahun, ia memperanakkan Enos.
7 And he went on living after the birth of Enosh for eight hundred and seven years, and had sons and daughters:
Dan Set masih hidup delapan ratus tujuh tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Enos, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.
8 And all the years of Seth's life were nine hundred and twelve: and he came to his end.
Jadi Set mencapai umur sembilan ratus dua belas tahun, lalu ia mati.
9 And Enosh was ninety years old when he became the father of Kenan:
Setelah Enos hidup sembilan puluh tahun, ia memperanakkan Kenan.
10 And after the birth of Kenan, Enosh went on living for eight hundred and fifteen years, and had sons and daughters:
Dan Enos masih hidup delapan ratus lima belas tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Kenan, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.
11 And all the years of Enosh were nine hundred and five: and he came to his end.
Jadi Enos mencapai umur sembilan ratus lima tahun, lalu ia mati.
12 And Kenan was seventy years old when he became the father of Mahalalel:
Setelah Kenan hidup tujuh puluh tahun, ia memperanakkan Mahalaleel.
13 And after the birth of Mahalalel, Kenan went on living for eight hundred and forty years, and had sons and daughters:
Dan Kenan masih hidup delapan ratus empat puluh tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Mahalaleel, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.
14 And all the years of Kenan's life were nine hundred and ten; and he came to his end.
Jadi Kenan mencapai umur sembilan ratus sepuluh tahun, lalu ia mati.
15 And Mahalalel was sixty-five years old when he became the father of Jared:
Setelah Mahalaleel hidup enam puluh lima tahun, ia memperanakkan Yared.
16 And after the birth of Jared, Mahalalel went on living for eight hundred and thirty years, and had sons and daughters:
Dan Mahalaleel masih hidup delapan ratus tiga puluh tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Yared, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.
17 And all the years of Mahalalel's life were eight hundred and ninety-five: and he came to his end.
Jadi Mahalaleel mencapai umur delapan ratus sembilan puluh lima tahun, lalu ia mati.
18 And Jared was a hundred and sixty-two years old when he became the father of Enoch:
Setelah Yared hidup seratus enam puluh dua tahun, ia memperanakkan Henokh.
19 And Jared went on living after the birth of Enoch for eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters:
Dan Yared masih hidup delapan ratus tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Henokh, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.
20 And all the years of Jared's life were nine hundred and sixty-two: and he came to his end.
Jadi Yared mencapai umur sembilan ratus enam puluh dua tahun, lalu ia mati.
21 And Enoch was sixty-five years old when he became the father of Methuselah:
Setelah Henokh hidup enam puluh lima tahun, ia memperanakkan Metusalah.
22 And after the birth of Methuselah, Enoch went on in God's ways for three hundred years, and had sons and daughters:
Dan Henokh hidup bergaul dengan Allah selama tiga ratus tahun lagi, setelah ia memperanakkan Metusalah, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.
23 And all the years of Enoch's life were three hundred and sixty-five:
Jadi Henokh mencapai umur tiga ratus enam puluh lima tahun.
24 And Enoch went on in God's ways: and he was not seen again, for God took him.
Dan Henokh hidup bergaul dengan Allah, lalu ia tidak ada lagi, sebab ia telah diangkat oleh Allah.
25 And Methuselah was a hundred and eighty-seven years old when he became the father of Lamech:
Setelah Metusalah hidup seratus delapan puluh tujuh tahun, ia memperanakkan Lamekh.
26 And after the birth of Lamech, Methuselah went on living for seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters:
Dan Metusalah masih hidup tujuh ratus delapan puluh dua tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Lamekh, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.
27 And all the years of Methuselah's life were nine hundred and sixty-nine: and he came to his end.
Jadi Metusalah mencapai umur sembilan ratus enam puluh sembilan tahun, lalu ia mati.
28 And Lamech was a hundred and eighty-two years old when he had a son:
Setelah Lamekh hidup seratus delapan puluh dua tahun, ia memperanakkan seorang anak laki-laki,
29 And he gave him the name of Noah, saying, Truly, he will give us rest from our trouble and the hard work of our hands, because of the earth which was cursed by God.
dan memberi nama Nuh kepadanya, katanya: "Anak ini akan memberi kepada kita penghiburan dalam pekerjaan kita yang penuh susah payah di tanah yang telah terkutuk oleh TUHAN."
30 And after the birth of Noah, Lamech went on living for five hundred and ninety-five years, and had sons and daughters:
Dan Lamekh masih hidup lima ratus sembilan puluh lima tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Nuh, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.
31 And all the years of Lamech's life were seven hundred and seventy-seven: and he came to his end.
Jadi Lamekh mencapai umur tujuh ratus tujuh puluh tujuh tahun, lalu ia mati.
32 And when Noah was five hundred years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Setelah Nuh berumur lima ratus tahun, ia memperanakkan Sem, Ham dan Yafet.
