Galatians 3
1 O foolish Galatians, by what strange powers have you been tricked, to whom it was made clear that Jesus Christ was put to death on the cross?
हे मूर्ख गलातीहरू! कसको दुष्ट आँखाले तिमीहरूलाई नोक्सानी गर्यो? के तिमीहरूका आँखाको अगाडि येशू ख्रीष्ट क्रुसमा टाँगिनुभएको कुरा दर्शाइएको थिएन र?
2 Give me an answer to this one question, Did the Spirit come to you through the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
म तिमीहरूबाट यो कुरा मात्र बुझ्न चाहन्छु । के तिमीहरूले पवित्र आत्मालाई व्यवस्था अनुसारका कामहरू गरेर पाएका हौ कि तिमीहरूले सुनेका कुरामा विश्वास गरेर पाएका हौ?
3 Are you so foolish? having made a start in the Spirit, will you now be made complete in the flesh?
के तिमीहरू यति धेरै मूर्ख भएका छौ? के अब केवल शरीरमा अन्त हुन तिमीहरूले आत्मामा सुरु गरेका थियौ?
4 Did you undergo such a number of things to no purpose? if it is in fact to no purpose.
यदि त्यो साँच्चै निरर्थक थियो भने के तिमीहरूले व्यर्थमा यति धेरै कुराहरूको अनुभव गर्यौ त?
5 He who gives you the Spirit, and does works of power among you, is it by the works of law, or by the hearing of faith?
त्यसो भए, जसले तिमीहरूलाई पवित्र आत्मा दिनुहुन्छ र तिमीहरूका बिचमा शक्तिशाली कार्यहरूद्वारा काम गर्नुहुन्छ, के उहाँले यो व्यवस्था अनुसारका कामहरूका कारण गर्नुभएको हो कि विश्वास गरेर सुनेका कारणले?
6 Even as Abraham had faith in God, and it was put to his account as righteousness.
अब्राहामले “परमेश्वरलाई विश्वास गरे अनि यो उनको निम्ति धार्मिकता गनियो ।”
7 Be certain, then, that those who are of faith, the same are sons of Abraham.
त्यसो भए, यसै गरी यो बुझ, कि विश्वास गर्नेहरू नै अब्राहामका सन्तान हुन् ।
8 And the holy Writings, seeing before the event that God would give the Gentiles righteousness by faith, gave the good news before to Abraham, saying, In you will all the nations have a blessing.
धर्मशास्त्रले पहिले नै यो देखेको थियो, कि परमेश्वरले गैरयहूदीहरूलाई विश्वासद्वारा धर्मी ठहराउनुहुन्छ । अब्राहामलाई अगाडि नै सुसमाचार दिइएको थियो, “तँबाट नै पृथ्वीमा हुने सबै जातिहरू आशिषित हुनेछन् ।”
9 So then those who are of faith have a part in the blessing of Abraham who was full of faith.
त्यसैकारण, जोसँग विश्वास छ, तिनीहरू अब्राहामसँगै आशिषित हुन्छन्, तिनै अब्राहाम जससँग पनि विश्वास थियो ।
10 For all who are of the works of the law are under a curse: because it is said in the Writings, A curse is on everyone who does not keep on doing all the things which are ordered in the book of the law.
व्यवस्था अनुसारका कामहरूमा भर पर्नेहरू श्रापित हुन्छन् । किनकि यसरी लेखिएको छ “व्यवस्थामा लेखिएका सबै कुराहरू पालन नगर्ने सबै श्रापित हुन्छन् ।”
11 Now that no man gets righteousness by the law in the eyes of God, is clear; because, The upright will be living by faith.
अब यो स्पष्ट छ, कि परमेश्वरले कसैलाई पनि व्यवस्थाद्वारा धर्मी ठहराउनुहुन्न, किनकि “धर्मी मानिस विश्वासद्वारा नै जिउनेछ ।”
12 And the law is not of faith; but, He who does them will have life by them.
व्यवस्था विश्वासबाट आएको होइन, तर त्यसको सट्टामा, “जसले व्यवस्थामा भएका कुराहरू गर्दछ त्यो व्यवस्थाअनुसार नै जिउनेछ ।”
13 Christ has made us free from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us: because it is said in the Writings, A curse on everyone who is put to death by hanging on a tree:
हाम्रो निम्ति ख्रीष्ट श्रापित हुनुभएर उहाँले हामीलाई व्यवस्थाको श्रापबाट मुक्त गराउनुभयो । किनकि यसरी लेखिएको छ, “काठमा झुण्डिने हरेक श्रापित हुन्छ ।”
14 So that on the Gentiles might come the blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus; in order that we through faith might have the Spirit which God had undertaken to give.
यसको उद्देश्य यही थियो, कि अब्राहाममा भएको आशिष् ख्रीष्ट येशूद्वारा गैरयहूदीहरूमाझ आउन सकोस्, ताकि हामीले विश्वासद्वारा पवित्र आत्माको प्रतिज्ञा प्राप्त गर्न सकौँ ।
15 Brothers, as men would say, even a man's agreement, when it has been made certain, may not be put on one side, or have additions made to it.
भाइहरू हो, म मानवीय शब्दहरूमा बोल्दछु । एक पटक पक्का भइसकेको मानिसले बनाएको इच्छा-पत्र त न कसैले रद्द गर्छ न त त्यसमा केही थपिन्छ ।
16 Now to Abraham were the undertakings given, and to his seed. He says not, And to seeds, as of a great number; but as of one, he says, And to your seed, which is Christ.
अब यी प्रतिज्ञाहरू अब्राहाम र उनको सन्तानलाई दिइएको थियो । यसले धेरै मानिसहरूलाई जनाउने गरी “सन्तानहरूलाई” भन्दैन, तर यसको सट्टामा “तिम्रो सन्तानलाई” भनेर यसले एक जनालाई मात्र जनाउँछ, जो ख्रीष्ट हुनुहुन्छ ।
17 Now this I say: The law, which came four hundred and thirty years after, does not put an end to the agreement made before by God, so as to make the undertaking without effect.
अब म यो भन्दछु । परमेश्वरले पहिले नै स्थापना गर्नुभएको करारलाई ४३० वर्षपछि आएको व्यवस्थाले रद्द गर्दैन ।
18 Because if the heritage is by the law, it is no longer dependent on the word of God; but God gave it to Abraham by his word.
किनकि उत्तराधिकार व्यवस्थाद्वारा आएको हो भने, यो अहिले प्रतिज्ञाद्वारा आउने थिएन । तर परमेश्वरले प्रतिज्ञाद्वारा अब्राहामलाई यो सित्तैँमा दिनुभयो ।
19 What then is the law? It was an addition made because of sin, till the coming of the seed to whom the undertaking had been given; and it was ordered through angels by the hand of a go-between.
त्यसो भए व्यवस्था किन दिइयो त? ती प्रतिज्ञा गरिएकाहरूकहाँ अब्राहामका सन्तान नआउन्जेलसम्म अपराधको कारणले व्यवस्था थपियो । यो व्यवस्था एउटा मध्यस्तकर्ताको हातद्वारा स्वर्गदूतहरूमार्फत लागु गरिएको थियो ।
20 Now a go-between is not a go-between of one; but God is one.
अहिले मध्यस्तकर्ताले एकभन्दा बढी व्यक्तिलाई बुझाउँछ, तापनि परमेश्वर एउटै हुनुहुन्छ ।
21 Is the law then against the words of God? in no way; because if there had been a law which was able to give life, truly righteousness would have been by the law.
त्यसो भए, के व्यवस्था परमेश्वरका प्रतिज्ञाहरूको विरुद्धमा छ त? कदापि होइन! किनकि यदि जीवन दिन सक्ने व्यवस्था दिइएको भए, निश्चय नै त्यही व्यवस्थाद्वारा धार्मिकता आउने थियो ।
22 However, the holy Writings have put all things under sin, so that that for which God gave the undertaking, based on faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who have such faith.
तर त्यसको सट्टामा, पापको अधीनमा रहेका सबै कुरालाई धर्मशास्त्रले कैदमा राख्यो । परमेश्वरले यो गर्नुभयो ताकि येशू ख्रीष्टमा विश्वासद्वारा हामीलाई बचाउने उहाँको प्रतिज्ञालाई विश्वास गर्नेहरूलाई दिन सकियोस् ।
23 But before faith came, we were kept in prison under the law, waiting for the revelation of the faith which was to come.
तर ख्रीष्टमा विश्वास आउनुभन्दा अगाडि विश्वासको प्रकाश नआउन्जेलसम्म हामी व्यवस्थाद्वारा कैदमा थियौँ र सीमित थियौँ ।
24 So the law has been a servant to take us to Christ, so that we might have righteousness by faith.
त्यसकारण, हामी विश्वासद्वारा धर्मी ठहरिनको निम्ति ख्रीष्ट नआउन्जेलसम्मको लागि व्यवस्था हाम्रो संरक्षक बन्यो ।
25 But now that faith is come, we are no longer under a servant.
अब विश्वास आइसकेकोले हामी कुनै संरक्षकको अधीनमा छैनौँ ।
26 Because you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
किनकि ख्रीष्ट येशूमा विश्वासद्वारा तिमीहरू सबै परमेश्वरका पुत्रहरू हौ ।
27 For all those of you who were given baptism into Christ did put on Christ.
तिमीहरूमध्ये सबै जतिको ख्रीष्ट येशूमा बप्तिस्मा भयो, तिमीहरू आफैँले ख्रीष्टलाई पहिरिएका छौ ।
28 There is no Jew or Greek, servant or free, male or female: because you are all one in Jesus Christ.
अब न त यहूदी छ, न ग्रिक, न कमारा छ न फुक्का, न पुरुष छ न स्त्री, किनभने ख्रीष्ट येशूमा तिमीहरू सबै एक हौ ।
29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and yours is the heritage by the right of God's undertaking given to Abraham.
यदि तिमीहरू ख्रीष्टका हौ भनेता तिमीहरू अब्राहामका सन्तानहरू हौ र प्रतिज्ञाबमोजिम उत्तराधिकारीहरू हौ ।
