Ezekiel 25

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Hierauf erging das Wort des HERRN an mich folgendermaßen:

2 Son of man, let your face be turned to the children of Ammon, and be a prophet against them:

»Menschensohn, richte deine Blicke gegen die Ammoniter und weissage gegen sie!

3 And say to the children of Ammon, Give ear to the word of the Lord; this is what the Lord has said: Because you said, Aha! against my holy place when it was made unclean, and against the land of Israel when it was made waste, and against the people of Judah when they were taken away as prisoners;

Sprich zu den Ammonitern: ›Hört das Wort Gottes, des HERRN! So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: Weil du Haha! gerufen hast über mein Heiligtum, weil es entweiht wurde, und über das Land Israel, weil es verwüstet wurde, und über das Haus Juda, weil sie in die Verbannung wandern mußten:

4 For this cause I will give you up to the children of the east for their heritage, and they will put their tent-circles in you and make their houses in you; they will take your fruit for their food and your milk for their drink.

darum, fürwahr, will ich dich den Söhnen des Ostens zum Besitztum geben, daß sie ihre Zeltlager in dir aufschlagen und ihre Wohnungen in dich verlegen; sie werden deine Früchte essen und sie deine Milch trinken.

5 And I will make Rabbah a place for housing camels, and the children of Ammon a resting-place for flocks: and you will be certain that I am the Lord.

Und ich will Rabba zu einer Weide für Kamele machen und die Ortschaften der Ammoniter zu einem Lagerplatz für Kleinvieh, damit ihr erkennt, daß ich der HERR bin.

6 For the Lord has said, Because you have made sounds of joy with your hands, stamping your feet, and have been glad, putting shame with all your soul on the land of Israel;

Denn so hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: »Weil du in die Hände geklatscht und mit dem Fuß gestampft und dich gefühllos von ganzem Herzen über das Land Israel gefreut hast:

7 For this cause my hand has been stretched out against you, and I will give up your goods to be taken by the nations; I will have you cut off from the peoples and will put an end to you among the countries: I will give you up to destruction; and you will be certain that I am the Lord.

darum will ich nunmehr meine Hand gegen dich ausstrecken und dich den Völkern zur Plünderung preisgeben, ich will dich aus den Völkerschaften ausrotten und dich endgültig aus der Zahl der Länder verschwinden lassen, damit du erkennst, daß ich der HERR bin!« –

8 This is what the Lord has said: Because Moab and Seir are saying, See, the people of Judah are like all the nations;

So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: »Weil Moab und Seir sagen: ›Nunmehr ergeht es dem Hause Juda wie allen anderen Völkern!‹,

9 For this cause, I will let the side of Moab be uncovered, and his towns on every side, the glory of the land, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon and as far as Kiriathaim.

darum will ich jetzt die Abhänge Moabs entblößen, so daß es der Städte verlustig geht, seiner Städte verlustig ohne alle Ausnahme, der Zierde des Landes: Beth-Jesimoth, Baal-Meon und Kirjathaim.

10 To the children of the east I have given her for a heritage, as well as the children of Ammon, so that there may be no memory of her among the nations:

Den Söhnen des Ostens will ich es samt dem Lande der Ammoniter zum Eigentum geben, damit der Ammoniter nicht mehr gedacht wird unter den Völkern.

11 And I will be the judge of Moab; and they will see that I am the Lord.

An den Moabitern aber will ich (so) das Strafgericht vollstrecken, damit sie erkennen, daß ich der HERR bin!« –

12 This is what the Lord has said: Because Edom has taken his payment from the people of Judah, and has done great wrong in taking payment from them;

So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: »Weil Edom mit Rachgier am Hause Juda gehandelt und sich durch Vollziehung der Rache an ihnen schwer verschuldet hat,

13 The Lord has said, My hand will be stretched out against Edom, cutting off from it man and beast: and I will make it waste, from Teman even as far as Dedan they will be put to the sword.

darum hat Gott der HERR so gesprochen: ›Ich will meine Hand gegen Edom ausstrecken und Menschen samt Vieh in ihm ausrotten und will es zur Einöde machen; von Theman an, bis nach Dedan hin sollen sie durchs Schwert fallen!

14 I will take payment from Edom because of my people Israel; and I will take Edom in hand in my wrath and in my passion: and they will have experience of my reward, says the Lord.

Ich will aber die Vollstreckung meiner Rache an Edom in die Hand meines Volkes Israel legen, daß sie mit den Edomitern so verfahren, wie es meinem Zorn und meinem Grimm entspricht, und jene meine Rache fühlen!‹« – so lautet der Ausspruch Gottes des HERRN. –

15 This is what the Lord has said: Because the Philistines have taken payment, with the purpose of causing shame and destruction with unending hate;

So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: »Weil die Philister mit Rachgier gehandelt und mit gefühllosem Herzen in nie endender Feindschaft Rache geübt haben, um Verderben anzurichten:

16 The Lord has said, See, my hand will be stretched out against the Philistines, cutting off the Cherethites and sending destruction on the rest of the sea-land.

darum hat Gott der HERR so gesprochen: ›Nunmehr will ich meine Hand gegen die Philister ausstrecken und die Kreter ausrotten und, was von ihnen an der Meeresküste noch übrig ist, vertilgen.

17 And I will take great payment from them with acts of wrath; and they will be certain that I am the Lord when I send my punishment on them.

Ja, ich will schwere Rachetaten an ihnen vollziehen durch schonungslose Züchtigungen, damit sie erkennen, daß ich der HERR bin, wenn ich sie meine Rache fühlen lasse!‹«
