Ezekiel 15

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

तब परमप्रभुको वचन यसो भनेर मकहाँ आयो,

2 Son of man, what is the vine-tree more than any branching tree which is among the trees of the woods?

“ए मानिसको छोरो, वनका अरू कुनै रूखका हाँगाहरूभन्‍दा दाखका बोटको कसरी असल हुन्‍छ?

3 Will its wood be used for any work? do men make of it a pin for hanging any vessel on?

के मानिसहरूले दाखको बोटबाट केही चीज बनाउन काठ लिन्छन् र? के तिनीहरूले कुनै कुरा झुण्‍ड्याउनलाई त्‍यसबाट किला बनाउँछन्‌ र?

4 See, it is put into the fire for burning: the fire has made a meal of its two ends and the middle part of it is burned; is it good for any work?

हेर्, त्यसलाई दाउराको रूपमा आगोमा हालियो भने र त्‍यसका दुई छेउ र बिचको भाग आगोले भस्‍म भयो भने, के त्‍यो कुनै कामको हुन्‍छ र?

5 Truly, before it was cut down, it was not used for any purpose: how much less, when the fire has made a meal of it and it is burned, will it be made into anything?

हेर्, त्‍यो सिङ्गै हुँदा पनि केही कामको बन्‍न सकेन । निश्‍चय पनि आगोले भस्‍म भएपछि, अझै पनि त्‍यसबाट केही कामको कुरा बन्‍दैन ।

6 For this cause the Lord has said: Like the vine-tree among the trees of the woods which I have given to the fire for burning, so will I give the people of Jerusalem.

यसकारण परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वर यसो भन्‍नुहुन्‍छः वनमा भएका रूखहरूभन्‍दा फरक गरी मैले दाखका बोटलाई आगोको लागि दाउरा हुन दिएँ । यरूशलेमका बसिन्‍दाहरूसित पनि म त्‍यसरी नै काम गर्नेछु ।

7 And my face will be turned against them; and though they have come out of the fire they will be burned up by it; and it will be clear to you that I am the Lord when my face is turned against them.

किनकि म आफ्‍नो अनुहार तिनीहरूका विरुद्धमा फर्काउनेछु । तिनीहरू आगोबाट बाहिर आए तापनि तिनीहरूलाई आगोले नै भस्‍म गर्नेछ । यसरी तिमीहरूले म नै परमप्रभु हुँ भनी जान्‍नेछौ जति बेला मैले आफ्‍नो अनुहार तिनीहरूका विरुद्धमा फर्काउनेछु ।

8 And I will make the land a waste because they have done evil, says the Lord.

तब तिनीहरूले पाप गरेका हुनाले म तिनीहरूको देशलाई त्‍यागिएको उजाड-स्‍थान बनाउनेछु— यो परमप्रभु परमेश्‍वरको घोषणा हो ।”
