< Colossians 2 >

1 For it is my desire to give you news of the great fight I am making for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not seen my face in the flesh;
Njagala mumanye nga bwe nfuba ennyo okubasabira mmwe n’ab’omu Lawodikiya, era n’abo abatandabangako mu mubiri.
2 So that their hearts may be comforted, and that being joined together in love, they may come to the full wealth of the certain knowledge of the secret of God, even Christ,
Ekyo nkikola mbazzeemu amaanyi era bagattibwe wamu mu kwagalana, ne mu kutegeerera ddala obugagga bwonna obuli mu kumanya ekyama kya Katonda, ye Kristo.
3 In whom are all the secret stores of wisdom and knowledge.
Mu Kristo mwe mukwekeddwa eby’obugagga byonna eby’amagezi n’okumanya.
4 I say this so that you may not be turned away by any deceit of words.
Ebyo mbibategeeza waleme kubaawo n’omu ababuzaabuza.
5 For though I am not present in the flesh, still I am with you in the spirit, seeing with joy your order, and your unchanging faith in Christ.
Kubanga wadde siri wamu nammwe mu mubiri, naye mu mwoyo ndi wamu nammwe, era nsanyuka okumanya nti mutambula nga bwe muteekwa okutambula mu Kristo era nti n’okukkiriza kwammwe mu Kristo kunywevu.
6 As, then, you took Christ Jesus the Lord, so go on in him,
Nga bwe mwaweebwa Kristo Yesu Mukama waffe, mutambulirenga mu ye,
7 Rooted and based together in him, strong in the faith which the teaching gave you, giving praise to God at all times.
nga musimbibwa era nga mukuzibwa mu ye, era nga munywezebwa mu kukkiriza nga bwe mwayigirizibwa, nga mujjudde okwebazanga.
8 Take care that no one takes you away by force, through man's wisdom and deceit, going after the beliefs of men and the theories of the world, and not after Christ:
Mwekuumenga walemenga kubaawo n’omu ku mmwe abuzibwabuzibwa mu bufirosoofo ne mu by’obulimba ebitaliimu, okugobereranga obulombolombo obw’abantu n’ebiyigirizibwa abantu. Munywererenga ku biyigirizibwa ku Kristo.
9 For in him all the wealth of God's being has a living form,
Kubanga mu Kristo okutuukiriza kwonna okw’Obwakabaka mwe kulabikira mu mubiri,
10 And you are complete in him, who is the head of all rule and authority:
era mmwe nga muli mu ye, mwatuukirira mu ye, oyo Kristo omutwe gw’obufuzi bwonna n’obuyinza bwonna.
11 In whom you had a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ;
Mu ye mwakomolebwa, bwe mwaggibwako okwegomba kw’omubiri, naye si okukomolebwa okw’engalo z’abantu, wabula mu kukomolebwa okwa Kristo.
12 Having been put to death with him in baptism, by which you came to life again with him, through faith in the working of God, who made him come back from the dead.
Bwe mwabatizibwa, mwaziikibwa wamu naye, ate ne muzuukizibwa wamu naye olw’okukkiriza kwammwe mu maanyi ga Katonda eyamuzuukiza mu bafu.
13 And you, being dead through your sins and the evil condition of your flesh, to you, I say, he gave life together with him, and forgiveness of all our sins;
Mwali mufudde olw’ebyonoono byammwe ne mu butakomolebwa bwammwe obw’okwegomba kw’omubiri. Katonda n’abafuula balamu wamu ne Kristo, ffenna bwe yatusonyiwa ebyonoono byaffe byonna.
14 Having put an end to the handwriting of the law which was against us, taking it out of the way by nailing it to his cross;
Bwe yasazaamu era n’aggyawo ebiragiro ebyawandiikibwa mu mateeka ebyatwolekeranga, n’abikomerera ku musaalaba,
15 Having made himself free from the rule of authorities and powers, he put them openly to shame, glorying over them in it.
n’aggya ebyokulwanyisa ebyo ku bafuzi n’ab’obuyinza ab’omu bbanga, n’abaswaza mu lwatu, n’abawangulira ddala.
16 For this reason let no man be your judge in any question of food or drink or feast days or new moons or Sabbaths:
Noolwekyo waleme kubaawo muntu n’omu abasalira musango ku bye mulya ne bye munywa, oba okubasalira omusango olw’embaga z’Ekiyudaaya oba ez’omwezi ogubonese wadde olwa Ssabbiiti.
17 For these are an image of the things which are to come; but the body is Christ's.
Kubanga ebyo kisiikirize eky’ebyo ebyali bigenda okujja, naye ekirimu ensa ye Kristo.
18 Let no man take your reward from you by consciously making little of himself and giving worship to angels; having his thoughts fixed on the things which he has seen, being foolishly lifted up in his natural mind,
Omuntu yenna tabalimbalimbanga n’abanyagako ekirabo kye mwaweebwa, nga yeesigama ku kwewombeeka okw’obulimba n’okuwa bamalayika ekitiibwa ekingi, ng’anywerera mu bintu bye yalaba, nga yeenyumiririza mu butaliimu obw’amagezi ag’omubiri gwe.
19 And not joined to the Head, from whom all the body, being given strength and kept together through its joins and bands, has its growth with the increase of God.
Ab’engeri eyo baba tebakyali mu Kristo, omutwe gw’omubiri gwonna. Omubiri ogwo gugattibwa mu nnyingo ne mu binywa era ne gugattibwa wamu nga gukula, Katonda nga y’agukuza.
20 If you were made free, by your death with Christ, from the rules of the world, why do you put yourselves under the authority of orders
Obanga mwafiira wamu ne Kristo ne musumululwa okuva mu magezi ag’ebintu ebyangu eby’ensi, lwaki mufugibwa ebiragiro ng’ab’omu nsi?
21 Which say there may be no touching, tasting, or taking in your hands,
Bino bye bimu ku biragiro ab’omu nsi bye bawa: Tolya kino, tokwata ku kiri oba nti tokomba ku kino.
22 (Rules which are all to come to an end with their use) after the orders and teaching of men?
Ebyo byonna ku nkomerero biriggwaawo kubanga biriba tebikyalina mugaso.
23 These things seem to have a sort of wisdom in self-ordered worship and making little of oneself, and being cruel to the body, not honouring it by giving it its natural use.
Birabika ng’eby’amagezi mu ngeri ey’okusinza, abantu gye beegunjirawo bokka mu kwewombeeka ne mu kubonyaabonya omubiri, songa tebiriiko kye bigasa n’akatono mu kufuga okwegomba kw’omubiri.
