2 Kings 15

1 In the twenty-seventh year of the rule of Jeroboam, king of Israel, Azariah, son of Amaziah, became king of Judah.

Uti sjunde och tjugonde årena Jerobeams, Israels Konungs, vardt Asaria Konung, Amazia son, Juda Konungs;

2 He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he was ruling in Jerusalem for fifty-two years; his mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

Och var sexton åra gammal, då han Konung vardt, och regerade tu och femtio år i Jerusalem; hans moder het Jecholia af Jerusalem.

3 And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Amaziah had done.

Och han gjorde det Herranom väl behagade, alldeles såsom hans fader Amazia;

4 But he did not take away the high places, and the people still went on making offerings and burning them in the high places.

Undantagno, att de icke bortlade höjderna; ty folket offrade och rökte ännu på höjderna.

5 And the Lord sent disease on the king and he became a leper, and to the day of his death he was living separately in his private house. And Jotham his son was over his house, judging the people of the land.

Men Herren plågade Konungen, så att han var spitelsk allt intill döden, och bodde uti ett fritt hus; men Jotham, Konungens son, regerade huset, och dömde folket i landena.

6 Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah?

Hvad nu mer af Asaria sägandes är, och allt det han gjort hafver, si, det är skrifvet i Juda Konungars Chrönico.

7 And Azariah went to rest with his fathers and was put into the earth with his fathers in the town of David; and Jotham his son became king in his place.

Och Asaria afsomnade med sina fäder, och man begrof honom när sina fäder uti Davids stad; och hans son Jotham vardt Konung i hans stad.

8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azaliah, king of Judah, Zechariah, son of Jeroboam, was king over Israel for six months.

Uti åttonde och tretionde årena Asaria, Juda Konungs, vardt Zacharia, Jerobeams son, Konung öfver Israel i Samarien, i sex månader;

9 And he did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his father had done, not turning away from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.

Och gjorde det ondt var för Herranom, såsom hans fäder gjort hade. Han vände icke igen ifrå Jerobeams synder, Nebats sons, den Israel kom till att synda.

10 And Shallum, the son of Jabesh, made a secret design against him, and, attacking him in Ibleam, put him to death and became king in his place.

Och Sallum, Jabes son, gjorde ett förbund emot honom, och slog honom för folkena, och drap honom; och vardt Konung i hans stad.

11 Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah are recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.

Hvad mer af Zacharia sägandes är, si, det är skrifvet uti Israels Konungars Chrönico.

12 This was what the Lord had said to Jehu, Your sons to the fourth generation will be kings of Israel. And so it came about.

Och det är det som Herren till Jehu talat hade, sägandes: Din barn skola sitta på Israels stol, allt intill fjerde led. Och det skedde så.

13 Shallum, the son of Jabesh, became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah, king of Judah; and he was ruling in Samaria for the space of one month.

Sallum, Jabes son, vardt Konung uti nionde och tretionde årena Usia, Juda Konungs, och regerade en månad i Samarien.

14 Then Menahem, the son of Gadi, went up from Tirzah and came to Samaria, and attacking Shallum, son of Jabesh, in Samaria, put him to death and made himself king in his place.

Ty Menahem, Gadi son, drog upp ifrå Thirza, och kom till Samarien, och slog Sallum, Jabes son, i Samarien, och drap honom; och vardt Konung i hans stad.

15 Now the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the secret design which he made, are recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.

Hvad nu mer af Sallum sägandes är, och om hans förbund, som han gjorde, si, det är skrifvet uti Israels Konungars Chrönico.

16 Then Menahem sent destruction on Tappuah and all the people in it, and its limits, from Tirzah, because they would not let him come in; and he had all the women who were with child cut open.

På den tiden slog Menahem Thiphsah, med alla de som derinne voro, och dess gränsor, allt ifrå Thirza; derföre att de icke ville låta honom in; och slog alla deras hafvande qvinnor, och sönderref dem.

17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah, king of Judah, Menahem, the son of Gadi, became king over Israel, and was ruling in Samaria for ten years.

Uti nionde och tretionde årena Asaria, Juda Konungs, vardt Menahem, Gadi son, Konung öfver Israel i tio år, i Samarien;

18 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord; he did not keep himself from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.

Och gjorde det ondt var för Herranom, och öfvergaf icke i sin lifstid Jerobeams synder, Nebats sons, den Israel kom till att synda.

19 In his day, Pul, the king of Assyria, came up against the land; and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver so that he might let him keep the kingdom.

Och Phul, Konungen i Assyrien, kom i landet; och Menahem gaf Phul tusende centener silfver, på det han skulle hålla med honom, och befästa honom i rikena.

20 And Menahem got the money from Israel, from all the men of wealth, fifty silver shekels from every man, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria went back without stopping in the land.

Och Menahem lade en skatt i Israel uppå de rikesta, femtio siklar silfver på hvar man, att han skulle gifva det Konungenom i Assyrien. Alltså drog Konungen af Assyrien hem igen, och blef icke i landena.

21 Now the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel?

Hvad nu mer af Menahem sägandes är, och allt det han gjort hafver, si, det är skrifvet i Israels Konungars Chrönico.

22 And Menahem went to rest with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son became king in his place.

Och Menahem afsomnade med sina fader; och Pekahia hans son vardt Konung i hans stad.

23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah, the son of Menahem, became king over Israel in Samaria, ruling for two years.

Uti femtionde årena Asaria, Juda Konungs, vardt Pekahia, Menahems son, Konung öfver Israel i Samarien, i tu år;

24 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, not turning from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.

Och gjorde det ondt var för Herranom; ty han vände icke åter af Jerobeams, Nebats sons, synder, den Israel kom till att synda.

25 And Pekah, the son of Remaliah, his captain, made a secret design against him, attacking him in the king's great house in Samaria; and with him were fifty men of Gilead; and he put him to death and became king in his place.

Och Pekah, Remalia son, hans riddare, gjorde ett förbund emot honom, och slog honom i Samarien, uti Konungshusets palats, med Argob, och Arie, och femtio män med honom af Gileads barn; och drap honom, och vardt Konung i hans stad.

26 Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all he did, are recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.

Hvad mer af Pekahia; sägandes är, och allt det han gjort hafver, si, det är skrifvet uti Israels Konungars Chrönico.

27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah, king of Judah, Pekah, the son of Remaliah, became king over Israel in Samaria, ruling for twenty years.

Uti andra och femtionde årena Asaria, Juda Konungs, vardt Pekah, Remalia son, Konung öfver Israel i Samarien i tjugu år;

28 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, not turning from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.

Och gjorde det ondt var för Herranom; ty han vände icke åter af Jerobeams synder, Nebats sons, den Israel kom till att synda.

29 In the days of Pekah, king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, came and took Ijon and Abel-beth-maacah and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee and all the land of Naphtali; and he took the people away to Assyria.

Uti Pekah, Israels Konungs, tid kom ThiglathPileser, Konungen i Assyrien, och tog Ijon, AbelBethMaacha, Janoha, Kedes, Hazor, Gilead, Galilea och hela Naphthali land, och förde dem bort i Assyrien.

30 And Hoshea, the son of Elah, made a secret design against Pekah, the son of Remaliah, and, attacking him, put him to death and became king in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham, the son of Uzziah.

Och Hosea, Ela son, gjorde ett förbund emot Pekah, Remalia son, och slog honom ihjäl, och vardt Konung i hans stad, uti tjugonde årena Jothams, Usia sons.

31 Now the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all he did, are recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Israel.

Hvad nu mer af Pekah sägandes är, och allt det han gjort hafver, si, det är skrifvet uti Israels Konungars Chrönico.

32 In the second year of Pekah, the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham, the son of Uzziah, became king of Judah.

Uti andra årena Pekah, Remalia sons, Israels Konungs, vardt Jotham Konung, Usia son, Juda Konungs;

33 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he was ruling for sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

Och var fem och tjugu åra gammal, då han Konung vardt, och regerade i sexton år i Jerusalem; hans moder het Jerusa, Zadoks dotter;

34 And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Uzziah had done.

Och gjorde det Herranom väl behagade, alldeles såsom hans fader Usia gjort hade;

35 But he did not take away the high places, and the people still went on making offerings and burning them in the high places. He was the builder of the higher doorway of the house of the Lord.

Undantagno, att han icke bortlade höjderna; ty folket offrade och rökte ännu på höjderna. Han byggde den höga porten på Herrans hus.

36 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all he did, are they not recorded in the book of the history of the kings of Judah?

Hvad nu mer af Jotham sägandes är, och allt det han gjort hafver, si, det är skrifvet i Juda Konungars Chrönico.

37 In those days the Lord first sent against Judah, Rezin, the king of Aram, and Pekah, the son of Remaliah.

I den tiden begynte Herren sända till Juda Rezin, Konungen i Syrien, och Pekah, Remalia son.

38 And Jotham went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth in the town of David his father; and Ahaz his son became king in his place.

Och Jotham afsomnade med sina fäder, och vardt begrafven när sina fäder, uti sins faders Davids stad; och Ahas hans son vardt Konung i hans stad.
